As long as shareholders think adding MP is a shure way to a cash cow with minimal imput of resources it will be implemented. DA3 will be no exeption.

We begged and begged for ME3 not to have Multiplayer and they didn't listen. I feel like this story's repeating itself.

I am not also happy that they put that type of co-op - it just very generic and in my opinion just simple clone of Horde mode in others games (most of which are simple 3D action game). In my opinion co-op support (atleast for one another player) in main story would be just more logical and more fitting as it was in some older co-op RPGs. It would be quite challenge, but I think obstacles are here to fighting with them and get over them. And then the authors can say-we did it althought nobody woulld believe it is possible

Just this.
Do you think you can stop from EA/Bioware to put somethng in game, when they just decided to put/drop out that feature in game? Even with Extended cut for ME3 they just only edit ends, they something add, but they don´t radicaly/fundamentally change endings. Or how authors explain why they include co-op in Dead Space 3, which was just quite silly and I think there was something else when they decide to put in that support of co-op (but still I am glad there will be that possibility)
And for people, who can imagine possible co-op in DA, who would be better?
Generic non-related story co-op with only some type of grinding gameplay or just go throught all of main story with another person? And have you feeling that you hate all two DA because it haven´t co-op in main story or do you enjoy them althought they haven´t co-op and co-op support would be just great, but really great new experience and quite pleasent surprise? And do you thnk that we want destroy whole universe because there would be co-op for two players? If it was true, I wouldn´t buy that thing even if it have some super duper multiplayer, even if it would be story co-op in main game (because as I can agree with singleplayer players I just be lead by very strong story with great characters, interesting quests and so on) in these specific case (in case of DA).Heck-I don´t even touch Dragon Age which was on Facebook (althought I am facebook user and that DA has also multiplayer) or don´t even try ME3 multiplayer. But I completed quite handful amount of games, which you can count in some way into RPG genre with another (second) person and still have some in sights and have in list.

And I am quite happy that for example Divinity:Original Sin (which previous series was only really singleplayer games) will have this type of co-op for two or four players. And I don´t think it would beause money  but because as author stated he want just play it (class RPG) with his girlfriend. And this is really what is for me more better (and reasonable) reason then what was explaining of authors of Dead Space 3.

I just don't see the point. It's Dragon Age, not Mass Effect.

Dragon Age 3 should be an MMO.

Why MMO? We have already too many quite similar MMO in my opinion. I am for co-op, but for quite closed co-op, nothing massive. Something what don´t destroy singleplayer part of game, but something what will add some value and fun for people who want use it and don´t influence  players who play only singleplayer(some dual-layer system). Strong singleplayer+support of co-op in main story.
I want be able to possible do co-op in main story in two people, anything else for my is just ´useless´ multiplayer-mean in this type of game which is quite heavy focus on story/character development or it is RPG type of game/is centred about singleplayer

NO co-op
NO multiplayer

Focus on singleplayer. I don't want to play a game whose story is only 18-20 hours long because they have to put time on Multiplayer.

Putting Co-op would ruin the continuity as the guest player can't create a new character. Creating a new character would ruin the story as one can't just "pop-up" out of nowhere and be involved in the problems of Thedas.

Sadly, this might end up true because EA is making a lot of money with MP for now. Yet if ME3 MP fades (as it already is to a small degree), it may end up not having enough income to maintain the official MP services.

Still, EA made the extra buck with MP.

IMHO, ME3 SP is simply a solo MP experience with bot companions and a story taped on it almost as an afterthought. The SP mechanics were designed with the MP in mind. SP with stories and MP focused on gameplay disregarding stories have incompatible styles.

DA has been a SP game. The next Dragon Age games need to be a true SP game with SP Story styles. If they want MP, make it a separate game by a separate company who has a history of successful MP.

If EA is desperate to tie the two together, still make them completely independent games by independent devs without any MP influence in the SP game and have SP online profiles offering cosmetic gimmicks for the MP instead. They did it backwards with ME3 and forced people to require MP (supposedly by accident) and made MP heavily influence SP's gameplay style. SP and MP should not be a requirement for each other and should not influence each other's gameplay style when SP has a story that they want people to enjoy.

EDIT: Who cares if people cheat at the SP to get MP gimmicks? They still have to register a valid purchase of the SP with Origin for it. It's still $$$ in EA's pocket.

Just try not to make DA3 suck like DA2, that's all I ask.

Avoiding diverting resources to mulitiplayer is one way to help you get to that point. The multiplayer in ME3 was bland and repetitive, please don't do something like that again.

"... multiplayer is something that's a huge undertaking ..."

I'll say this now.
I will not buy Dragon Age 3 and I'm sure that there'll be many many more wont either
if you fully intend to put multi-player in Dragon Age 3.
This is suppose to be a single player game with intense storylines and open options
that took place in the other two Dragon Ages.

I am a huge fan of Dragon Age, I pre-ordered both of them, bought all the DLCs
and other merchandise you guys put out there. Just like other fans who stop
playing certain Fighting games and RPG games due to something as silly as this that you're
considering. This game is suppose to be a personal game. Each to their own and their own to experience.
How can we personally enjoy the game with romance options and judgements with another player involved?
Like Final Fantasy 7 to 10 through 12 to 13-2, they were all personal gaming experience.
Hence why they're biggest names in RPG. Dragon Age Origin to 2 are also huge names.
Dragon Age is the best name and game I adore. This is why I am writing this out.
If I didn't, it would mean I didn't care.

If you really want to make an Multiplayer Dragon Age, make it a separate game.
Just like Final Fantasy XI or XIV. But don't let it invade the storyline of Dragon Age.
Because you'll be so focused on how the game will work together as a Multiplayer game
and scrap out the intensity of the storyline as well as adding it up with other DA's storyline.

All I ask, as a fan of Dragon Age...

Do not make Dragon Age 3 Multiplayer. :(

Agree!

I am also extremely tired of BioWares constant multiplayer-phase....

BioWare should go back to making the intense, masterful, epic games. RPG games! NOT multiplayer games.

If I am in the mood for a RPG, I immediately think "BioWare" yet lately, I am beginning to loose faith. And the worst part about it is that I don't know where to find alternatives. Skyrim for instance, is totally not my style. I don't like the "open world"-style. But what bothers me the most is that the dialogues, cutscenes and the general story is lacking compared to the good BioWare releases.

I hope that BioWare gets back on track in the near future.

And I think this would be great type of co-op (or something similar) for Dragon Age
Just see all videos-so you have complex view
You should see that co-op is not worse then singleplayer/or singleplayer isn´t worse then co-op
And you don´t need any online registration or whatever-both in online or LAN
So this should be how it would be done-rather then generic ME3 multipayer
And in few last video you can see two possible resolve of bad situation (diplomatic or aggresive)
As somebody say that it don´t fit into Bioware games-remember Baldur´s Gate,NWN or you just know only Dragon Age or Dragon Age II?
