I recently finished my second, renegade playthrough of ME1, happily started ME2 to import my Shepard, but things got kind of odd there.

I ended up with a full renegade bar and about 75% in paragon (it was a second playthrough with the same character in ME1, getting her from level 50 to 60), yes the "Psych profile" entry in the import I get "followed the paragon path". I also got a "human-led" council insead of all-human which should happen if you let the council die as renegade. The fact that I get full 190 point bonuses for both paragon and renegade seems strange too (I know it works like, if you had 50% full you get the max bonus, but just looks odd).

What bugs me is mainly the fact that the import acts as if I played paragon when I played renegade; is that because my Shepard was paragon on the very first ME playthrough?

Which morality mission did you get in ME1. "Besieged Base" or "The Negotiation".

You never get an all-human council.

Was your initial playthrough a paragon playthrough?
When did you use the ME2 import facility, after the first, or second playthrough?
How many save files did it give you the option of using when you statred a new game in ME2 and selectnig import?

Yes, my first ME1 playthrough was paragon. I used the import both times, after the first, and after the second playthrough. I basically have 2 options for each of the playthroughs, since I have both saved on the last choice whether or not to save the Council and finished from there once for each.

I don't really think this issue will even affect my next ME2 game, but it still bugs me.

Just wondering at the possibility that you selected the wrong save. Either that, or reloading so soon after the final save might have caused a screwup in the save data,
