I was re-watching the E3 trailers and noticed something I hadn't before. At around 2:40 in this video, you can hear someone (I think it's Shepard) say, "We've got the whole quarian fleet waiting in orbit."

Now, I remember it was theorized before that that planet could be the quarian homeworld, so it would make sense, I guess. But the whole quarian fleet waiting in orbit? That's quite significant.

Just a random thought. Have at it.

Why the hell would Shepard need a bunch of flimsy Quarians to fight the Reapers. I thought we needed allies not liabilities.

To decrease the surplus population.

Actually, we've known the quarians will fight alongside Shepard in the war as early as ME2.

Maybe we can have their entire fleet fly into another planet, as some sort of distraction?

You must be really off your game. You missed out on the completely obvious reply of cannon fodder.

Well that was a Reaper, so I'm guessing they would need the whole fleet.

Also thanks for pointing out the time, I knew Shepard said that, I just couldn't find exactly when he says it. Silly me kept listening for it during the rail shooting segment...

Oh? pray tell.

I'm never off my game. If there was a better way to derail this topic, I would've thought of it.

You could mention that Tali should stay behind to 'distract' the reaper while everyone else escapes....

She wouldn't last long, but that's not the point.

Even "liabilities" could be good. At their worst, they could be a good use for a distraction. Best not turn away an actual ally when the galaxy is being purged. Even as a liability (in your opinion), they are still an ally since the two are not mutually dependant. Cyber-warfare is the best way to use the Quarians, though. On the other hand, we don't really know how strong their military actually is. All we know is they've kept good care of ships a few centuries old. A sword from the 1500's can be just as lethal as one made today.

Easy answer, yeah in the thick of ground pounding battle, the Quarians are gonna suck. BUT in Orbital Bombardment and Ship to Ship combat, they're gonna kick alot of ass. Its the biggest bloody fleet in known space. Combine that with the fleets of the other Citadel Races plus whatever else is hiding in the darkened corners willing to right the reapers, and you got a formidable force assembled.

All the good the Quarians can do would try to clog the Reaper's guns with their mangles bodies after the Reapers tear through their tugboat fleet.

Size doesn't really matter.  Also aren't their ships in pretty bad shape?

There are several ways to derail topics, just ask EternalAbiguity.
The fact that you never sem to be able to do it with any success, and it takes mere microseconds worth of thought to either refute your pathetic aguments, or even less time to re-troll you, goes to show you are never really on it to begin with.

A simple puncture in their body suits would send them into seizures   Unless this is some sort of military that doesn't use infrantry men, they would be quite useless in the war.

Even now, I'm remembering that Tali recruit missions, where the dude with the Rocket launcher was suppose to flank me. What happened? He has a bloody rocket launcher, yet the moron still dies.

Useless, utterly.

Even as a distraction, I can see them failing at it.

easy, just use their ships as massive missiles, FTLing straight into the Reapers, or getting close enough to detonate their element zero cores.

Yeahhh okay. The marijuanna haze must be blocking your vision, bog. Why don't you return to your abyss and think of some more "witty" butthurt jokes. I'm sure I haven't heard them all yet.

Not sure what you mean, Bog. Should I be insulted or flattered?
