About Tali - In ME 1 you could use her tech skills to open stuff but in ME 2 I play whole game with biotics. You know

Shepard probably meant 1 Quarian fleet.
I mean, having 50,000 ships in 1 fleet is not exactly a good idea.
Quarians most certainly have many fleets, just that is commonly said those 50k ships are Quarian fleet.
I'd hate to imagine the logistics of parking 50,000 ships in orbit over a planet
But think of the revenue it will bring in.

Yea, it was a bit too far. I'll agree with that.Cthulhu42 wrote...
Well, you're entitled to your opinions, but "annoying piece of filth" is definitely going too far.
That being said, I look forward to fighting with the quarians in ME3. Regardless of what the haters think, they're going to end up being useful.

For what it's worth, it's probably not all that bad because most of the orbital debris would have decayed out of orbit in the last 300 years. Modern NASA already tracks a metric butt-ton of debris that is must guide satilites to avoid, so I figure the quarians could pull it off with advanced VIs and whatnot.Hathur wrote...

BTW for those of you who appearently didnt watch the demo, the Quarian's strength is in their fleet. As seen from the single orbital strike blowing the living **** out of the Reaper. |:]

Let them create a new scrapyard in orbit around another planet, if anything such a mess of ships would cause targeting and maneuvering problems for the actual warships. At best they can be used to absorb enemy fire in the largest display of a human shield in action ever.

Quarian shield.
Depends on how you look at it. Indeed it would be comprised of rusty quarian ships and quarian corpses floating throguh space, but they would be shielding decent human warships in the process. So I think we need a courtroom of lawyers to sort this one out.

I think the Quarians are an awesome race, its surprising to see all the mindless hate toward them. :/

True that, but I think the greater issue would be ship-to-ship collisions. Even with barriers, that's something that they'll want to avoid.Bogsnot1 wrote...

Nah, turians can defend themselves. If Palaven is ever in the position where it's completely defenseless, it means all the turians are already dead.ReconTeam wrote...
Yeah but if we were talking about the turian homeworld you'd throw them into the meatgrinder just as quickly.

Either way, no point in defending it other than to save the people that didn't evacuate in time. Which would be the "right" thing to do, but not the tactically viable thing to do, especially if you lose more people trying to rescue them than people you will rescue.Grand Admiral Cheesecake wrote...

So was it ever specified how many warships the Quarians have? I mean they have the largest fleet in the galaxy, but do we know how many of the ships can actually fight?
from the books i got the impression that most of their shi[ps are hundreds of years old, but if they got some refits and new weapons attached to them, they could be strong. No specific number on battle ready ships though

Even now, I'm remembering that Tali recruit missions, where the dude with the Rocket launcher was suppose to flank me. What happened? He has a bloody rocket launcher, yet the moron still dies.
OK, one, he wasn't supposed to "flank" you. Or the geth. He's supposed to provide fire support on the Colossus from the exact same place where you talk to him. Flanking requires, you know, moving. Hence "flanking manuever". IOW, what you're supposed to be doing to the Colossus. He was just trying to nail its shields and force it into repair mode
so you can deal with the other geth on the way. In any case, how effective his attacks are is entirely dependent on the difficulty setting, because he never misses.
Two: he's scripted to die, genius. Take too long and the Colossus will get sick of him and nail him with a siege pulse. Considering he'd already taken some hits and his gear wasn't in top shape (you know, that whole pesky "sun" thingy), it's hardly surprising a direct hit from that takes him out.
If as you claim he died instantly, it was a bug. Not that I find this claim particularly credible. I did some dialogue testing there and every single time it took him quite a while to get killed.
