Only under Tali's command.

Kal'Reegar once took down an entire Geth platoon with his package while blindfolded.

Canon Fodder = Dumb commander

No, no, it takes a smart commander. Cannon fodder is great when it's the useless people being used to become something useful for the first time in their lives. They'll die for a good cause. :police:

1. Useles people make bad soldiers.

2. "What use is a newborn baby?" Michael Faraday

3. Everybody's useless to somebody.

4. A superior commander can win without needless casualties.

There are 50,000 vessels in the Quarian Fleet. They could take down at least one Reaper with acceptable casualties. Especially if they simply bombard them from Orbit.

Ever heard of this little thing?

apply that concept to the quarian navy and we have a gamechanger on our hands.

Holy...just wow.

This is so what they need to do with the flotilla, just like I said.

Speaking of hard-to-notice lines from the trailers, I can't get enough of Wrex's "Shepard, you pull this off and I'm making you an honorary krogan" during the Sur'Kesh gameplay.

Seriously, I didn't here that nice catch. If that's true I'm damn sure doing my best on that mission lol. On topic I don't generally like Quarians, except Kal'Reegar, but if they can help defeat the reapers then I can deal with them. Though if they can't get over their pride and make peace with the Geth then I'll make sure their just cannon fodder.

That was such a powerful line, and I am very interested to see how it will play out.

The fact that Legion was present in that scene just shows that perhaps the quarians have recognised that Legion is a variety of geth that wasn't fighting with Saren, or one of the heretics.

The quarians have always been my favourite race, and I hope to see a way to allow quarians to earn their place in the galaxy by kicking ass against some reapers. I think it about time that the quarians stopped being supressed in society. And also, that more effort was made to learn about the quarian race as a whole.

When you talk to the quarian who was accused of stealing the credit chit on the Citadel, she is very surprised when Shepard shows that he/she knows what a pilgrimage is. You would think most people would know things like that.

Heck yeah, Tasha. The quarians are my favorite race too. I can't wait to see where things go for them and the geth in ME3.

Yeah, I only recently noticed that line myself. Great stuff.

Unless the Quarians somehow convert many or most of their largely freighter/transport fleet into Q-ship/armed merchant ships like in WWI and WWII.

Even now, I'm remembering that Tali recruit missions, where the dude with the Rocket launcher was suppose to flank me. What happened? He has a bloody rocket launcher, yet the moron still dies.

It's actually extremely easy to prevent him Kal'Reegar from dying. Even on Insanity difficulty I can tell him to fight and still keep him alive.

Gotta know what to do, and its nearly impossible to pull it off without solider or vangaurd. Maybe sentinel.

The Quarians will survive in my playthrough.

Even if I have to sacrifice the Turians and Asari.

They WILL survive :)

Given the choice, the quarians will be some the first to be fed to the lions. Right after the Batarians.

Anyways I agree, using the biggest fleet in the galaxy to bombard the planet below would be such an amazing visual. If this was a cutscene or better yet, during gameplay, (OR BOTH :o) it would be so epic.

Seeing as I was getting a lot of Hate replies. I want to just respond to them before I continue on with topic. I was:

A. Not trolling anyone. or flaming, this time.
B. Nor was I derailing the topic. The discussion is about the Quarian Fleet, I just branched out into an OBVIOUSLY better discussion.
C. I'm back? (well not for long)

I think the comments about the Quarian fleet being somewhat of a liability is valid, if you think that they committed all of their ships. Most of the ragtag flotilla are old ships. The dialogue that the entire fleet is in orbit has to refer to the warships. All of the civilian ships are supposedly armed, but having noncombatants in an engagement is a liability.

As far as their troops go, might as well use them though. Hopefully their barriers hold...

When a single reaper can absorb the entire firepower of a modernized fleet without visible effect, I doubt quarian merchant ships, even armed, are going to do any significant damage.

Logistics, cannon fodder, and bombardment would be the quarian rolls. Maybe fight off the non reaper comabatants like occuli and indoctrinated fleets, (if they have fighters and or indoctrinated fleet to fight)

The Reaper in that vid took a direct orbital strike and still got up. And thats one of the smallest Reapers! Perhaps 2 orbital strikes? 3? Or maybe orbitals don't work? And if the latter is the case, Shep better find that superweapon....

agree with guy above me. I'm sure its possible, just really really hard. You claim its "really easy". I call bull on that. It might be doable but it certainly isn't "easy".

Besides, would any of us even like the game if we could just kill Reapers with airstrikes?

Tsk,Tsk, how unoriginal.

True, but I imagine a second air atrike would have finished it off. Think of the Collector ship battle during the suicide mission; it took a couple of shots with the Thannix Cannon to destroy it.

I'm making assumptions, of course, but whatever... Posted Image

The Collector Ship was dead in space after that first hit.  That Reaper was fine and dandy after an orbital strike.

You mean the first shot incapacitated the Collector ship and the second one blew it up?
