I had never heard of her before DA, no idea what she looks like, but people go on about her as if she's Jane Fonda
IMDB's not helped much, I guess I would have seen her in Buffy but it wasn't likely to be memorable

Either way, I'm glad to see her in the Dragon Age universe.

But take Semyaza's advice and watch The Guild on youtube. Its where she got most of her gamer geek-cred. First Episode.

I was pretty much in the same boat before mota was announced. Didn't know who she was, didn't care, still don't care now. Her voice acting for the most part annoyed the crap out of me in mota.

You must have very high standards.
Other than the voice of Veronica in New Vegas (my favorite companion) I didn't come across the lass often and don't really get the hype either, but still, Veronica was adorable and Felicia is all but ugly.
Besides that, I wouldn't even call ugly people ugly in public, it's a cheap insult.

No i dont have high standards. AS even some of what i find attrative isnt shared universally or even at all. As for felicia day i dont know what it is, but i find herugly and even worse as the model in game.
As for saying it in public who cares? im not gonna hold back just to be polite, its my opinion, big deal.

big fan of Buffy series, though the last was crap, have all the videos and DVDs (mixture depending on age or series) and even though I've watched them a lot I still have no idea who she is.Garden of Heaven wrote...
Unlike both of you, I was a big fan of Buffy, and Felicia was one of my favourite characters, even if her role wasn't that big.
such a big deal has been made of Felicia Day woo hooo, that I assumed I'd missed some big name TV actor
doesn't matter though, it's the voice acting that counts not the BIG NAME as in current cartoon films .

This may have escaped your attention but DA2 DLC is not a movie, it's a game and a DLC for a game at that. She is well know in the gaming community as one of those girls/actresses who love gaming hence why on so many gaming sites. I have never heard of Jane Fonda talking about how she enjoys playing Zelda or has made anything about games so naturally as far as gaming goes she wouldn't be well known for anything gaming related therefore would be out of place for her to be talked about on a game or gaming site like this. This is the opposite to Felicia who has very much done a lot of things relating to gaming compared to most actresses which is why she is known and talked about on "game sites and forums" just like the one your on. If this was a site devoted to movies then maybe you would have point but it is not, it is about gaming and games and she has done alot in that industry compared to many others.
I don't haunt the forums so I was curious. I gathered she was a fairly well known actor in the US, who liked gaming, and I had no idea who she is.
I shall just accept she's an actor I don't know, and am only likely to know through her voice acting in new Bioware stuff - when I get around to coughing up for MOTA.

Sorry didn't mean to sound confrontational, bad habit. I have no intention of buying DA2 related DLC myself given I did not actually enjoy DA2 much at all personally and resold it long time ago so would make very little sense to invest yet more money into a new copy of the title and it's DLC but because of this I do not honestly know how well her VO was in MOTA. She cannot be blamed for poor or lack of quality in the character model though since she didn't sit at a desk and make her own character that is Biowares fault if not done well.
For some people attack her appearence in real life as ugly or whatever is childish imho, so they don't fancy her well boo hoo to those people cry me a river it's not like they are trying to score with her or asking her out on a real life date or even being stalked by her as an real life love interest, I'm guessing half or more of those very same people are ugly as sin too and she wouldn't touch them with a ten foot barge pole.

She's an overrated (judging by the reaction here) B-movie/Tv Star nerd-bait, not to say she's bad (I liked her in Eureka last week), but until Bioware made such a big deal of her actually existing for Redemption I had no idea who she was. Even now that people mention she was in Buffy I can't remember her for the life of me.
no idea what Eureka is though

They made a big deal because she's a big deal in internet shows. She was in Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog and she's creator/writer/star of The Guild.
Internet shows are a dime a dozen and most suck. But she's been in two very popular ones. They wanted to get the audiences of those two interested in something they might not have seen otherwise.
For DA fans it's a DA story and there's a DLC with her in it.
It's just good marketing.

Her face model in MotA though doesn't look right. Is it because the eyes are too far apart or something...hmmm.
