So! I am justa wondering, Mario, which companions are best suited for Leliana and Shale banter-wise. Any ideas? I can imagine Morrigan and Leliana would have some interesting conflicting ideas about the world... but what about Shale? Would his comments make us laugh? Cry? Sing? Rage?

I agree with GhoXen, Oghren going with Shale can make a rather funny scene, much like KOTOR with (i forgot the characters name) going against HK-47, but shale, much like a bot, more nicer then HK-47

Well we have seen from videos and quotes and such I imagine Alistair and Morrigan will have great dialogue together, especially considering how apart they are.

I'm wondering just how much dialog was actually recorded for Shale; other than his own speech to certain DLC NPCs and the player, did they manage to get all other companions to talk with or acknowledge him? I know he was cut content, so perhaps they did manage to do this early on.



I remember Alistair saying something in his trailer, hopefully they managed to get other party members to talk about him too (though I'm assuming it was very easy to get Dog to interact with Shale).

That would be correct.  Presumably, the majority of it was already done beforehand.  

Lucy, I am tempted to know what kind of banter Leliana, Shale, and Zevran would have.  Would Zevran flirt with Shale too?  Currrious.

From the live feeds I've seen Zevran and Morrigan with Alistair is just perfect for us banter lovers... so much so I'm thinking of ditching Leliana just so I can laugh at Z's lines. Dont forget though in at least one interview the Dev's mention that Morrigan and Wynne have "very different ideas about magic that lead to a good bit of banter".

2. Leliana and Zevran (Common Elf background)
3. Alistair and War Dog (The whole duty, loyalty, and honor thing)
4. Sten and Wynne (The practicality of doing what needs to be done)

Relationships that will be problematic:

1. Morrigan and Wynne (Morality)
2. Leliana and Oghren (Following the maker versus being a shaker)
3. Leliana and Sten (Again, religion)
4. Alistair and Zevran (Honor versus thief)
5. Oghren and Wynne (The drunk versus the one in control of themself)

Shale intrigues me. I definitely look forward to hearing what he has to say.
Though, I would also like to hear the companions reactions to Dog.

Leliana is human...

I know my first party will be Ali, Zev and Morrigan, lots of banter I'm sure. Shale will probably go well with Oghren, but I think he might be fun to have with Sten, just to see what happens.

I'm thinking Shale and Dog, simply because Shale may be used to dealing with people, but not an animal like Dog.  Otherwise Zevran and Morrigan, I can see the snark-off already, well that and they would team up on Alistair.

I was watching some gameplay earlier in one of the handful of live streams of people playing the game



*potential minor spoilers*



There was one instance where the PC had Alistair, Morrigan and Dog in the party and they were exploring Lothering, (sp?) Morrigan started talking to Dog saying "What do you want from me beast? I have nothing for you." followed by a whine from dog and more irritation from Morrigan, it was quite funny. Another instance in Redcliffe, the PC was walking past a windmill and Leliana said "A windmill! I once took a ride on a windmill...It didn't end well." and the PC walked through a door before she could finish, but it was pretty funny.

I think if you want a cohesive party, Alistair might go well with Leliana and Shale. He and Shale would provide the banter, and Leliana and Alistair will probably get on quite well, so you wouldn't have to worry too much about offending companions with every little decision.



That said, Morrigan will no doubt be hilarious. I'd go with her Leliana and Shale if you want the amusing factor.

A party involving Morrigan and Dog would be interesting, as it seems Morrigan's softer side may come out though their interactions, like in the quote on this page.
