As stated in the title, what Origin would you want if you could write your very own for your character?
I'd want to play as an apostate, with the 'option' given to be a maleficar. This would be a nice departure from the more traditional, structured story of the circle mage in Origins.
If chosen (and I'd choose the hell out of it), the blood mage option would give a significant (strong, but not overpowered) bonus to skills right from the outset. You'd get somewhere around five bonus stat points, and 2-3 ability points. In exchange, throughout the entire game Templars are hunting you. Often when you travel from place to place, and at random in cities, Templars will try to ruin your day and take your cake.
In addition, being a blood mage would significantly sour several companions towards you right from the outset, to the extent that one or two will outright refuse to follow you unless you have sufficient persuasion.
Anyways, that's my dream origin. Thoughts?
Assuming Origin stories make a glorious return for Dragon Age 3, what would you want yours to be?

Apostate Mage, I love the idea that I have a gift and everyone wants to hunt me and kill me for it.

my idea in that thread.
Ah, didn't know the idea had been done (or at least not so recently).
Disregard this thread.

I don't really like your idea, it's unbalanced.
First you get bonus attibute points and bonus ability points.
Second you get bonus XP from the Templars hunting you.
Third you get bonus dialogue choice were you can convince your companions (like Fenris) that Bloodmagic is good and that they should follow you or else you Mind Control them to follow you
You just can't balance the coercion thing, if you make a Coercion skill like in DAO it is an I win button, if you go through dialogue choices that you must take to convinve the guy it turn out to a simple metagaming job.

As long as one of the origins is Fereldan or Kossith I'm good.
