I was playing Legacy today on my Angry Hawke Warrior and we were
trotting along slaughtering innocent darkspawn controlled dwarves and
When Anders and Varric get into Discussion about gambling at the Hanged
Man. Short story short, Varric makes a reference to Fenris who I haven't
recruited yet.

Only reasonable explanations are:

-It's a goof! Off to IMDB with this.
-Varric can see the future!
-Varric was drunk while telling the story of Legacy to Cassie.

You know how you start telling a long, complicated story to a friend, and you get the sequence of events wrong somewhere in there? There you go.

It's an oversight, I'm sure.

I was playing Legacy today and Anders and Hawke got into a discussion of whether or not Hawke had heard from Carver since he joined the wardens. Carver was standing right there.

Had a similar problem. The elf chick I hired in A Bitter Pill said that she was sorry about my mother and that she would miss her. My mother was dead approximately two or three missions before I hired her, so unless Momma Hawke gets around a heck of a lot more then anyone ever imagined, it was an oversight.

Much like this probably was.

That happens sometimes. For example, in the (normal game) banter where Aveline asks why she doesn't have a nickname, she lists Bethany's "Sunshine" even if Bethany died in the introduction and Varric never met her (let alone gave her a nickname). There are occasional dialogue oversights here and there.
