Specifically, I was thinking of Varric talking about ghasts...

Varric: They would know their ghasts from a hole in the ground.
Hawke: Why do you bad touch words like that?

:lol::lol::lol:

Well done, Bioware.

Well, if you mean the banter, yes, loved it!
But the main dialogue that moved the story wasn't anything special, right?
Back to the banter and chatting at the party and just the little things, yes, yes, yes, awesome, hilarious, colorful, fun, good stuff. I loved the window dressing so much that I now wish it was all more shallow without trying too hard to have a deep story that ended up just being a mess. I still can't believe my Hawk still has to go home and explain to Mom why Hawk killed our family friend who was trying to defend against the Qunari threat because of a pretty elf who set him up, lied, set him up again, lied, and then ran off.

Merrill "Do you think Wyverns are hard to take care of?"
Carver "You could tame it... Tame its wild heart"
Hawke "*Laughs*"
Tallis "That was adorable"

Something like that anyway, funny line - I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that one

And Warden Carvers flirting with Isabela was good

Isabela "I always did like a man on a mission"
Carver   "Wardens go deep, its a hard calling... And we also save the world"
Isabela "Very interesting"
Hawke "No it isn't! Its definitly not!"
Carver "I'll tell you about it sometime.. when im not, y'know - saving the world *Flex*" Ok I added the flex, i imagined him doing it when he says it makes it funnier lol

Carvers lines were the best =D

IMO, Grey Warden Carver is a whole trainload of awesomesauce.

This.

Never liked Carver before, but now big sister Hawke gets a little tear in her eye every time he kills a bad guy. And he looks so smart in his armour. ^_^

I am sooo going to take Carver along one of these times. I hated him during my first couple of DA2 playthroughs, but grew to love him dearly. <3

On a sidenote, those ghasts remind me of the hobbes from Fable. Maybe it's just me, but their mannerisms were very similar.

My wife was pretty disappointed bringing Carver along. He got barely any dialogue for her. So I think who he's teamed with is important. I think the same is true of Bethany as well.

@Jack - good to know. I'd like to see the Merrill/Isabela interactions with Carver, and will probably just leave it at that.

Those are pretty-much the best ones. Isabela gets a great one when she finally realises that Carver has the hots for Merrill and plotting to hook them up.

Sufficiently fey-curious as to also have a thing for Fenris. I like that pairing rather better, and by that I mean that I wouldn't have the urge to smash Carver's head with a defunct golem if he was crushing on Fenris more.

Dragon Age: Mark of the Assassin also has won the award for being the only work of fantasy fiction I've seen use the term "I've got your nose." but that, technically, was a cut scene.

at the party after Tallis's 1st failed attempt to find key

Hawke "Urge to Kill. Rising."
Tallis "Try one of the canpes. Clears it right up."

The only time I've ever wanted to slug Varic in the entire series!: "What? Would you rather I told people you're a mage?!"

But on my rouge play Merril talking about never leaving Kirkwall and everything looking the same was priceless. I had to pause because I spat soda on my screen, I LMAO so hard.

As an addendum:

Hawke: Aveline, my bulbous cherub. You must hear the droning of Lord Fullof****.

i have to remark on this. Anders starts ribbing Fenris about converting to the qun and Fenris responds with: "I was thinking we could go together. I'd be happy to sew your lips shut for you."

funny, right?

but then i got to thinking, and maybe i'm just one sick mabari, but did that strike anyone else as just slightly kinky?

I enjoyed Anders asking my (romanced) Hawke, "what is it with you and cute elves with no sense of self-preservation??"

I love Fenris in this DLC.

"Hunting for sport... is it wrong of me to root for the wyverns?"

or when resucing Hawke in the dungeon:

"And here we are again..."

Its not so much what he says but the delivery of the lines, his VA does a great job.

I've only played it once (and managed to miss half the puzzles and loot) but my favourite so far is romanced Hawke/Fenris and her being a dragon hoarding loot.

It's cute, he wants to them to keep their heads down and be safe while she teasing him out of his serious mood.

I played with fenris and merril in my party, they were great together
especially when the french guy called my party manservants, and I was like ''oh christ, dont use such a term in front of fenris'' then he was grumbling about it later and merril tried to reassure him, it panned out how i imagined it in my head, nice one bioware

and when they were looking for hawke and tallis in the prison and merril says ''ooo did you shank someone?!'' in her welsh accent made me lol

but, I actually truly lol'd when hawke was persuaded by tallis to flirt with a guest, and I chose the option which made her floor him with a punch and knee combo XD

Hawke: "Varric, why don't I get a nickname?"
Varric: "I call you Hawke. You might've heard it once or twice."
Hawke: "But it's not like Daisy or Blondie."
Varric: "Alright, I can hook you up, Chuckles."
Hawke: "Chuckles? That could work."

I loved it, mostly because Manhawke is awesome and hilarious. After I heard this I desperately wanted Varric to call him Chuckles for the rest of the game. Image IPB This was with a silly Hawke though; on another I got:

Varric: "Alright, I can hook you up, Waffles."
Hawke: "Waffles? That's...unexpected."

So I kind of want to know all the different nicknames he comes up with.

Also, pretty much any combination of companions during the prison break scene makes me lol

Chuckles for snarky, Waffles for diplomatic (apparently) and Killer for aggressive.

I'm only letting Varic call me "Waffles" if he brings syrup!
