Dragon Dogma... Y U NO ON PC?!

The game is so awesome, that putting it on PC would put the internet at risk from an awesome explosion, so they had to contain in on consoles. True story.

Until then unfortunately this game will be overlooked.

Is it just me or are Japanese devs far more detailed with animation? Look at that glorious robe flow as he runs.

Which is ridiculous since this would kill on PC.

Devs said that if PC players will stand in numbers - petiton or whatever, they will consider bringing it to PC platform. But I havent heard anything about the PC movement so far - maybe not enought ppl interested/educated?

If this was to come on PC I would likely give this a chance, but since it is not I will not because I do not want to give Capcom another dime, I will wait until a PC announcement, or a really good Amazon deal so I could trade it back and not loss much money.

I keep trying to get myself to like this game, but I'm not sure I will till I get a hands on play of it. It's style is kind of generic, I really don't like how the dragons are done. The game title is still terrible to me too, I really wish they would change the game's name. Aside from those things, I'm still keeping an eye on it.

I just want it to be May 22 already. The game looks awesome from all angles. Like I said before. it also delivers the kind of character creation options I've been wanting to see in other video games.

^ You'll get your chance to when the demo is released. It's probably going to be released within a few weeks of the game's release, sucks for me. I'm expecting to get my PS3 shipped, but if I have problems where I'm going, I won't be doing that.

This game looks really good. I'm very happy with the release date too. I like the developer's article about his attachment to the characters. I hope the demo will be more impressive than Kingdom of Amalur's.

Well, you basically only play through one of two scenarios as either Fighter or Strider? I can't remember if the other class is strider or mage.

But you get to use the full character creator for your character and your main pawn and both can be transferred to the full game.

I totally agree with you with respect to the unbelievably detailed CC - I wish more games gave us as many choices for detailing our characters.  I for one won't/can't bring myself to play any game that won't allow me to play as a female (still can't believe there are games being made only for males...hello?)

I LOVE that I can pick every last single detail of my character right out of the gate and make her my own and I really am gravitating towards games with romance/relationship options because after playing DA:O I really feel it's an important part of the whole role playing genre. I'm really excited for this game!

Glad about that other news too about choices and consequences actually having a major impact on the story.

Fourth and final progression trailer:

http://www.gamersdai...sion-Video.html

You can craft unique weapons from scratch and you can also craft special items. Quests are accepted from NPC's but you can also find some quests on quest boards. Near the end of the video, we see the Mystic Knight magically set himself on fire which looked awesome. I believe this spell will come in handy when climbing giant creatures because you'll set them alight just by touching them while on fire but God knows if it harms you as well during the duration but since it's a spell...I'd imagine it shouldn't.

Another really fantastic dev article, this time talking about cinematics.

www.capcom-unity.com/gregaman/blog/2012/03/29/ninjas_and_lummoxes_both_given_proper_screen_time_in_dragons_dogma

They seem to have put a lot of thought into making this game.  I'm preordering.  I've only ever preordered two games before, and never a new IP, but I've seen and heard enough that I'm comfortable that my purchase will be worth it.

Nice read. I wish and hope in the future, more developers learn to do what they have done with the number one excuse from Bioware about not offering more customization options. Really, how hard is it to make doors that are as wide as they need to be for the widest possible character you could make or even for height

The trend continues, the more info we get, the more excited I get for this game. Hopefully the rest of my training goes smoothly and quickly so that the time we get to our destitionation, it won't feel like forever and a day for Dragon's Dogma's release..

All I can see is Crapcom.
Am I the only one having anxiety about this? I mean what am actually buying and whats going to be disc locked and be "DLC" later?
Seriously why does Crapcom have to be involved in such a promising game?

Your hesitation is completely valid, but look at it this way.  This is a new IP for Capcom, not a well-established game with a huge fan base like MvsC3 where they KNOW they have that huge fan base who will buy up anything related to the game.  (Speaking of which, another certain trilogy comes to mind... *cough* Image IPB)

I'm not trying to sway your decision, and I'm certainly not positive what they plan as DLC or what may or may not be "locked" on the disc, but I will at least assume that it does have the over 200 hours of gameplay they claim and the 20 to 30 hour main quest, which, for me, is worth the purchase.  Future DLC would for me likely be trivial anyway.  But it's up to you.  The game will still be there for you if you would rather wait and purchase it later.  Image IPB
