My husband started playing DD and he is a magical archer - maybe lvl 25 or so. Why isn't he able to double vault? He never leveled up the strider vocation to its max. Does that affect double vault ability?

My husband's gamer tag is "joepini" and his pawn is a fairly low level strider (in the 20's). If any generous high level souls out there want to pick her up and make her a little smarter/more sharply dressed/armed - by all means.

(Help him out! He's very new at the game.)

Also, I have a slightly higher level fighter pawn - in the 60's. My gamertag is "shovetrista". I've beaten the game once, but I play slowly and take my time to enjoy it. Starting Dark Arisen now. :-)

You hit the nail on the head. Get Strider leveled up, and double vault will be available to unlock under the "core" abilities.

I will gladly rent both the pawns. I have items I can gift him (and you as well, if interested). Will send requests later today.

That's the thing with this game, I find there are surprises!  I had this awful thought that I would get Aelinore as I did her quests, but *phew*, I didn't.  I was also rather scared that I might get Caxton too!

I was hoping for Ser Max and gave him lots of quills and my Arisens Bond, but ended up with Julien.  At first I thought he was pompous and had an irritating voice and I didn't like him at all. But he's now quite humble and sincere and he's actually alright.  

I have edited my post from yesterday as I didn't realise the thread had reached a 100 pages!  

Hello Trista Hawke.  I can send you and your husband a friend request, but my pawn Thomas is only level 56.  I too play rather slowly and I faff about way too much (I am even worse playing Skyrim).  I am 'thenewschmoo'.    BTW I like your pawn's shield.

Man. I'm trying to fight Gazer. Not turning out well, even with my immolation move. I could use a very very high lvl mage for healing. Anyone feel like a good Samaritan?

I just switched my pawn back to a mage last night, so you could use her, but I can't send or accept a FR until I get home from work (in a couple of hours). She's level 163, and I used her as a Mage for a good portion of the game, so her magick is decent, I think.

I also have her equipped with two BBI mage rings, so she's got Grand Anodyne, and three other Grand skills...maybe Frigor, Ingle, and Brontide? Not sure.

Archers are handy for Gazer fights, I've found.  But then again, I've rolled all-archer squads quite a bit, so I'm obviously partial to them.

I too have a higher level Mage pawn at the moment (lvl 148). Going archer heavy or magic heavy is actually quite fun. And around Gransys or some places in the Everfall, going in strong with melee is a hoot.

@Trista - I just saw you pop on....will pick up your lovely lanky fairskinned pawn. Tell your husband to "take a nap" once he is back to playing. I gifted his pawn a few items, and also took him to kill a Chimera, Gorechimera, giant goblins, Cyclops, and a Drake. She did great.

Got me some shirtless Shin again....was starting to sweat. XD

Still need Death to show back up. Once he goes down, I am switching Chase back to Fighter for a bit. Of course, this is taking forever and a day getting Death to rear his stupid hooded head. *bastart!*

BTW....do you guys like "Launchboard" as a skill (for a fighter)? I actually kind of like it on Chase, but not sure if others find it useful.

@Trista - I took your husband's pawn out for a bit, and gifted him a few items. She helped us with a Cursed Dragon in BBI, and a few other things. I just hired yours, and will see what kind of trouble we can get into.

Anyone need level 1 and 2 novelties, gear, weapons, or armor? I have a whole slew of that stuff, and it seems to be all duplicates of stuff I already have. I'd be happy to unload it. I also have 1 level 3 gear item.

Oh, and I finally got the Coat of Oblivion, which completes the set for me. (Woohoo!) Imagine me dancing. Now I just need the Carrion Greaves, and I think I have everything else.

@Trista - I have used both you and your husband's pawns. I must confess that I did lose your husband's pawn to the Brine at some point, so I had to go to Rift Stone to retrieve her. I hope she returns with 5* rather than 3!

@Happy - I have only collected a few Level 1 gear and novelties in BBI so far (I have to venture further) and a couple of Level 2 items that have been kindly given. If you have one to spare that would be great.

My first time fighting a gazer with Briana and Shinon included me lining up a shot, and suddenly realizing it was dead. It was over before I had any clue what was going on. 

Ok, I'll hop back in shortly, and will do some gifting. I took a little break to watch Project Runway.

I've been trying to gift armor and weapons, but realized that I don't have much left to gift that isn't Dragonforged, or BBI gear. I'll see what I can do about that...my Arisen is flipping loaded, so it's no biggie.
