Happy, now you know why those of us low level suckers are afraid to go to BBI!!!

It fills my heart with joy to see Arya in someone else's game :crying: *sniffle*  And is she wearing a new top?!  YAY! Arya loves new clothes! (So does her "mother", hahaha)

Chase  He is a sexy little beast lol

I think my pawn crush is Aeden though. He's a handsome devil.

okay, I know that Maelstrom is powerful and all, but Dayum! I'm blind as a mole when Sorcerers cast that. Very annoying....almost walked of a cliff. LOL!

Maelstrom was almost enough to make me keep playing as a sorcerer! It's awesome lol

I pretty much have to stop doing anything and just wait it out. I was fighting a pair of dragons and had one down to the final hit, but with maelstrom going and no way to find the heart, it stuck around for far longer than it should have.

I may just upload sorcerer Shinon to the server, the animation of him casting miasma is hilarious. Sure, he's terrible, but...

Ugh, don't remind me. There were some of those turd sorcerers in the Forgotten Hall, along with some hellhounds, and a trio of Garms joined the party. And let's not forget the two chained goreclops and succubi. Long story short, I used all of the Wakestones I had in my inventory, due to Maelstrom. It was brutal.

If it was Lielle, it would have been cake. It probably would have also had Strigoi and Death. :P

That was before the 40-minute Drake. Selene is a mess!

Joe is thrilled with his helmbarte daggers.

He also likes the smell of Iorveth's cape.

Here, Shinon takes a much needed break from the incessant waves of guards.
Posted Image

Sorcerer Shinon is on the server now, equipped with an arsenal of spells I never see being used, like High Blearing and Exequy. He only has one damage spell equipped, unless I ditched that one too. He's probably not going to be of much use in BBI.

OK I have a girl pawn on my other MS account, gamer tag "nailsjane" (she may take awhile to level up since I'm more interested in BBI with my higher level posse. She's good for any new folks since she's super low level!). My girl pawn is the honorary Cat Blade. ;-)

She's a baby - only lvl 11. Strider. Play with her if you want! I made her tall and muscle-y. :-)

@cold Joe's a cocky one. I made him a bit of a showman. B)

@shep - I'm happy Joe's thrilled with his two million dollar daggers. Hehe. HE BETTER BE. :::checks empty wallet::: :D

That pic of him being a creepster is priceless.

That's because it's a Hero's Cape. Worn by heroes. Mmm...hero. Hehe, j/k. Posted Image

I will never look at Joe the same way again. And I can't wait to try out Sorcerer Shinon! I hope he's still available tomorrow!

How do you always catch such awesome shots? I'm always amazed and astounded by what you're able to capture.

All I have from tonight is this shot from the Everfall. I can't say either of my Arisens have ever done dental work on a Hydra, but there's a first time for everything.

Posted Image

I took her there as a level 1 Mage, against my better judgment. It's actually gone surprisingly well, despite being lunch for a snake.

He should be, he's there now and I won't be on until tonight. I took him into BBI for a few minutes, with my arisen as a rank 4 fighter. We had to liftstone in Duskmoon Tower. Duskmoon Tower. We couldn't damage the firedrake at all. I've since given Shinon High Frigor and Seism so he can at least do something productive.

How do you always catch such awesome shots? I'm always amazed and astounded by what you're able to capture.

Aside from persistence, there are a few tips I can share.

1 - Learn the animations of attacks/spells/everything else. This is the sorcerer's heavy attack.
Posted Image
This animation is actually why Shinon is a sorcerer now, I'm trying to get a shot of him doing this dead on. The trouble is, he won't do it <_< I'll have to go where there're a lot of crates to break.

2 - For close-ups of pawns, have your arisen stand a few feet behind the character you want, then lower the camera and zoom.
Posted Image
You can see my arisen's hair here next to Joe's hand in the background. The farther away you are from the pawns you want to capture, the closer the shot will be, but obviously if you go too far, they'll be out of the camera's range. Just experiment a bit until you find the sweet spot.

3. Don't use healers. They are constantly trying to sabotage your photos. This one broke my heart.
Posted Image
Adept's Robe and the random regen enchantment on BBI gear are also minor annoyances, but they're better than healers. Mages and sorcerers are also hard to work with, since they make the air shimmer too, but at least it's usually not right in your face.

4. Just remember that the option exists. Just hitting start in the middle of a fight and then looking around at what you've got to work with might result in a really good shot. You never know.
Posted Image

Also, there will be times when the camera doesn't want to cooperate and will try to correct itself constantly. You can fight it by slooooooowly moving the analog stick until you hit the spot you want. And sometimes the camera won't move at all, most notably when you're climbing on certain monsters. (It happened every time last night while I was climbing on a saurian in the Garden of Ignominy.) There's nothing that can be done about this.

If there's ever a picture I've taken that anyone's curious about how I got, just ask. The answer's probably a lot simpler than you think.

^ Great advice. I will definitely be trying out the heavy magick attack. Everyone needs a friendly touch on the shoulder every now and then! Posted Image

BTW, I didn't know Shinon had two different colored eyes. How did I miss that? And Iorveth's head looks enormous compared to his!

Oh, hey, have you used High Levin Brontide? At least I think that's the one? I was in the Everfall, and used it for the first time ever. Holy crap, I was a lightning machine! I had no idea that you could actually control the lightning like a whip. That was seriously strange. I mean...why haven't I ever seen a pawn do it?

I had no idea what the hell I was doing, and figured out finally that you had to hit X or Y after you cast it, to use the whip action.

Edit: I think it's actually Brontide I was using. I'm still confused by the mapping I set up. Posted Image

They're all the way up there;) He never used to have two different colored eyes, I changed them recently after getting tired of not being able to see his pupils. (he used to have very light greenish-grey eyes that ended up looking solid white unless you zoomed)

And Iorveth's head looks enormous compared to his!

Yeah, Shinon's got a tiny noggin. He's got a smaller than average body, so I had to shrink his head size. Fun fact: his "ab slider" is dead center - he's not actually very muscular.

I had no idea that you could actually control the lightning like a whip.

Brontide has some awesome looking frames. I spent about a half hour spamming pause while Shinon whipped the tar out of some saurians.

I don't quite understand what was going on here, but I know it's Brontide.

Chase will use Brontide almost always against Garms. I have a spell upgrade ring for that (combined with Anodyne). He also uses it pretty regularly on Gargoyles. I was never very good with that spell, so I tend not to use it (I choose Levin for my arisen...a bit more dummy proof. lol!)

Nice snapshot pointers, Shepen. ;)

Think I need to make a full run through the Everfall...haven't done that in a while. Then I'm going to try taking on Daimon part 'deux' again. Going in as a Ranger with the crapton of blast arrows and periapts.

I may never beat Awakened Daimon. I've resigned myself to that fact. Hehe.

Death I can handle. That crazy rift vortex, giant arms, and dragon head in Daimon's belly kinda creep me out.

Another cool thing to remember is if you want a close shot of a pawn, stand your Arisen anywhere near the pawn - even directly in front. When you're in "screenshot mode" there's the option of hitting the X button and removing your Arisen from the shot.

Goal: I must make Joe level infinity. Lol. I never knew there was a level infinity til I joined this crowd.

BTW: last night, Shinon and Briana helped me beat some awful BBI dragon with like 88 life bars. I'd tell you more but cannot remember the details of where I was in that Labyrinth - it was 2 am. Oh and Death tried to kill us too!!! :-(

Loving the screenshots and thanks for the advice.  I shall bookmark this page to refer to!

I love using Brontide, just cracking a lightening whip about! I find it particularly useful on Saurians (for chopping off their tails) and on the Hydra/Archydra. It find it handy for helping to lop off their heads (along with Maelstrom). I hate the hydra.

I have also discovered Tusk Toss, as my Arisen only recently became a Fighter. Is it wrong to say I had fun flipping guards in the air?

Posted Image

Mungo appeared to be doing it too!

@Trista - good goal to shoot for, level infinity. :)

@newschmoo - I adore tusk toss, though I admit I don't put it on Chase very often. I love having it on my arisen though. :D

Yeeah, right. I'm certainly not going to try it with this character! Maybe with Lielle. Posted Image

I do need to fight the regular form of Daimon with Selene, though. The loot is downright craptacular in BBI until the second round. I haven't found a single level 3 of diddly squat, aside from one level 3 gear item.

It would appear that I need to just suck it up and do it, so I can put her up against tougher enemies (and hopefully level up enough to fix her stats).

Oh! and while I've been visiting post-game Everfall, I've been picking up armor pieces that I never knew about or saw with my other character. I got my first Sultry Pareo (woo), along with some Superior Cuisses, which are kinda...meh looking. But still, new to me!

Anyway, the dumb Drake is finally dead. Took us 40 minutes. :pinched:

 Welcome to my world. The first BBI chained gorecyclops I killed took me an HOUR, and the first cursed dragon was nearly that long too. It sucks being wimpy.

I have that 20 wakestones quest and I have 80 wakestones currently, but isn't it better to wait to turn that quest in until I've been through more of the Everfall? Going to check the wiki now....

Well, if it's any consolation, eventually we'll both get better. Posted Image It just takes time/persistence.

I didn't realize how awesome Lielle had become until I played a character over 100 levels weaker. It really makes a difference.

My first cursed dragon (my first time through BBI) took me an hour. It was in the Midnight Helix, and I hid in that side room with the chest and the epitaph thingie, and sniped from there. Basically, he had to stick his head through the wall for me to hit him. It was freaking pathetic. Hehe.

Now, they're more delicious than cake. They're like crème brulee. Dragonforging is the torched sugar on top. Yum.

I need lunch. Posted Image

Yes - Hide Character is a great feature. My only problem with it is that the picture is centered on your arisen, no matter if s/he's there or not, so you can't get pawns centered unless you're behind them. If you're in front, you won't get a very close shot on the pawn behind you. Unless you're close to a wall or in a small room, if you stand next to a pawn, this is about as close a shot as you'll usually get.

This game just gave me the incentive to go and fix my old controller. My newer controller's back button hardly works because it needs to be opened up and cleaned but I don't have the screw driver to fix it. I was fighting a cursed dragon and after mashing "back" 20 times to try and heal, he killed me. So I opened up this old controller and got it working.

I gotta kill Cursed Dragons or other things to try and lvl up to fight Daimon. I'm only lvl 50 right now and don't think I would fare well against him.
