Anyway, I'm level 84. No time like the present. Have I said lately how much I miss Lielle?

"Pleeeeeease let me join your group! Look, I'm wearing a heresy cloak! You love those!"

Chase, come on, I don't have sinew, I can't carry you.

This is the first hallway in the ward of regret, the camera went wonky like it did a few months ago in the forgotten cathedral. It looks like there's another room above the entrance.
Why so sad, Cursed King's Belt?

Oh, right. Cursed.
Shinon casting High Ab-hypnosis

It seems to be working as the guard hasn't unsheathed his sword yet.

Shinon, that's disrespectful. And dangerous. Watch out for that sword.

Well, I just defeated Daimon...regular Daimon. And I forgot to bring Godsbane with me. Urgh. At least he dropped a level 3 armor, but no Vile Wakestone. That makes me a little sad. I got two claws, and a horn.
Bring on the tough stuff! I say that now...

Just made a run through the last portion of BBI and decided to challenge daimon. I owned him pretty hard! I figured I would just get my butt whooped because I'm only lvl 57 but I had more than enough dps to bring him down!

I hear that. This Arisen is a wimpy one, so I'm kinda nervous about Daimon. He's next, as I just got to the Fallen City. I thought about continuing through the labyrinth a few more times, but I haven't had much luck getting any level 3 stuff thus far. My chances are better if I can get to phase two. Now if I can just remember to open the chests before I leave the room, that will be a good thing. Hehe.

Vile Wakestone
Obtained by killing Daimon's second form, located in the Bitterblack Sanctum. It is possible for multiple Vile Wakestones to be dropped at once.
You can do eet! What's Lielle's magic stat while equipped with a blackwing bow & magic-boosting augments? If it's low, periapts fix that. You should be doing more than enough damage at level 150-whatever you were. At level 200, my Magick Archer's attack is sitting at around 2800. A holy-enchanted arrow right to daimon's chest-face takes about 1/6th of a bar. I'm not sure if the holy enchantment is needed, but it seems to help.
What is it about Awakened that gives you trouble? Most of his attacks are the same as his first form. Maybe consider stacking defensive periapts and load up your pack mules with wakestones.

I decided to whoop things up, and switched to my other character, to let Iorveth come out to play for a bit. I suspect that I'll be switching back to Lielle/Gabrielle fairly soon...although I am somewhat proud of just beating Daimon with Selene last night. Especially since I had her spec'd so poorly (she was my first). I mean...have you ever gotten staggered by city guards while using biting/cutting wind? That was a lesson in humility.Trista Hawke wrote...

Anyway, anemic Daimon is dead, so I started going through BBI for some loot, and XP.

One of you guys must have gifted me a Vile Wakestone, then. I couldn't remember where it came from, tbh.
I'm not sure what Lielle's stats are. I'll check tonight.
You know, I've watched videos, and I know what I need to do, but once I get in that room, I panic. Regular Daimon is what really freaks me out, with all that bouncing around, breaking stuff, grabbing peeps, shockwaves of death, etc.
What usually happens is that I use up all of my potions/periapts on his first form, and have nothing left by the second. This last time I tried to fight Awakened Daimon, all of my pawns jumped headfirst into his vortex of doom. Yep, ALL of them. I was left by myself, which I wasn't prepared for. Gabrielle had been carrying most of the wakestones, so that pretty much sealed my fate. I stayed alive as long as I could, but alas, I couldn't make a dent in it, and gave up.
Technically, I should be able to do it, that's true. I'll give this some thought. Now I actually have all of the high level BBI armor for Lielle, and it's all Dragonforged (except the Carrion Greaves, which I'd just picked up before I switched characters)...so my chances would be pretty good, I think.
OK, fine, I'll switch back to Lielle. I need to get that awakened turdbag under my belt. Or...something.
If anyone is using Iorveth, I'll be switching back to Gabrielle tonight, just an FYI.

Aaahhhh.... That makes sense. I thought I was going crazy and she had never existed. ;-)
Yeah I have a low level pawn on my nailsjane gamer tag named Cat Blade. I look forward to working on her, but that's totally a work in progress - slow progress. (She's lvl 11....)

Um, all the time! What do you do to prevent that?
This game is really for the serious RPG player, which I am not! I am a FPS player at heart. I find RPGs really difficult and usually play them on easy mode. But the ways to spec this and counteract that are very confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated!

That would have been nice in the actual game, to be able to decorate/store stuff at your house in Cassardis.
At the very least, let me sleep there. Jeez.

Anyway, we kept going back, I think about 5 times before I quit playing for the night. Here's my question: how often do I need to keep going back and checking to see when he will actually die? It didn't seem like we were really doing a ton of damage to him despite stacked periapts and mostly decent weapons. The pawns really seemed to do NO damamge, and other than dying and making me rez them every little bit...they were mostly just meat shields I guess. That 10 minutes sure goes by fast.
Is there a site that keeps track of the Ur-Dragon's health or anything? I googled but found nothing recent. Honestly, this whole thing with him is just annoying. Call me crazy, but I like a fight that ends when it ends, instead of "to be continued". I just don't want to miss out when he actually does die, so any insight is appreciated.

You pretty much have to live in the Chamber of Lament, it seems. I usually jump in for a few shots every day, but I'll never be around for a kill. If you play as an assassin, try using the augments bloodlust and autonomy (pawns are pretty much dead weight anyway.) And load up with liquid vims. If you're like me and only play as a magic class, the most recommended tactic is to use a holy-enchanted X attack with a staff.

I had Ur's health bar empty and missed with a maker's finger. By the time I got back there (I ran to the Cassardis inn, thinking I'd have time for a short nap) I got my pity prize. I don't know how long the grace period is, but that time it was about two minutes. Unless staying at an inn is just a no-no during Ur-dragon battling.
I've since learned the best way to quickly battle the Ur is to wait for the post-fight "accessing server" to fade and then godsbane yourself. Your damage is added, you're back in the chamber of lament with full health, and, best of all, all your consumables are still in your inventory.

GameFaqs keeps track of its health, but they don't post much until it has around three health bars left. Salomet's Secrets and Taglius' Miracles will give your pawns the same benifit as the periapts. You might want to use the Godsbane method to keep your items.Bekkael wrote...
Yesterday I finally found the Chamber of Lament and started fighting the Ur-Dragon (online version). He's like generation 289, or something ridiculous.

The Godsbane Method
The Ur-Dragon can be fought in quick
succession without exiting the chamber, sleeping at an inn, or even
using up your items. To use the Godsbane method, you must carry the
Godsbane with you before you go into the fight with the Ur-Dragon.
Save
your game just before you enter the Chamber of Lament. Proceed as
normal until the fight ends and he flies away. Do not leave the Chamber
of Lament and do not save the game. Be sure to note the "Accessing
server" message. After it has come and gone, use the Godsbane on
yourself and reload you last save. You will be immediately prepared to
fight the Ur-Dragon again without having used up your items.

I am working up the gumption to go fight AD...here are my stats, including gear:
Strength 1788 (359)
Magick 2389 (469)
Defenses 959 (342)
Magick Defenses 1158 (555)
I'm trying to get my Carrion Greaves forged before I head that way; at that point, I'll swap outfits with Gabs, so my Magick will be higher. She'll also be a Ranger, in the Oblivion gear I'm currently wearing.
I'm bringing Team Sexy with me for backup. All-Archer squad, woo hoo! Although...do I need Gabs as a Mage for the holy enchantment? Hmm.
