Funny thing. After grabbing Joe and Thomas in Gran Soren, I see Briana hanging around. I approach, pick her up, and snap a photo. Within seconds, she kicks Ulee, causing her to drop Briana, then Briana shoves her! O.O XD I soooooo wish I had been fast enough to screenshot it. Never seen that before.

Well, it looks like I've found my mission for tonight. It's a pity I won't find Shinon in Gran Soren. I'm sure he'd be a kicker.

I suspect we would be all kinds of happy, if you could get a snapshot of Briana kicking either your Arisen, Shinon or one of the other pawns you rent.

Good golly miss molly! It is a sloooow Godsbaning day. Took me about 15 minutes to finally get my stash on the chest at the top of Midnight Helix. Granted, that isn't the longest I have ever taken on a chest (a couple of the everfall chests have had me at it for 30 minutes or so... ). Ahh well. It's kind of like the old adage about fishing: A bad day of fishing (gaming/godsbaning), is better than a good day of work.
(depending on your job...heh!)

So wish we could take screenies after godsbaning. The pawns can end up in some pretty funny positions.

^ It's been taking a lot longer for me lately, too. I did extra sweeps in the Fallen City, to make sure everything was dead, and it just seemed to go on forever. I walked away from two of them, because I simply couldn't stand it any longer. The one by the water is the only semi-reliable one for me.

It's a little hard to capture, the animation is only a few frames long before it just looks like she's jumping backwards.

You can tell when it's about to happen, the character you're carrying will bring his/her leg up really high, it ends up being more of a knee rather than a kick. This one ended up staggering Shinon as well. 

...or he's just flexing for the camera, I don't know.

Ah, I guess smiling isn't his thing. But he's always there with a flask of water after Alynna sets herself on fire.

Fantastic! And you're right; more of a "knee" than a kick. Did you get the shove? Or was that Briana being especially irritated at Ulee. (was probably just the animation from the stagger and Briana moving her arms at the same time, but it so look like it "connected".) XD

Shinon being sweet....even without smiling.

And no, I didn't get a shove, but I seem to remember sometime during my travels trying to pick up an NPC and immediately dropping them, only to be shoved back. It was almost like I wasn't strong enough to lift them.

Yo everyone  I'm still around, just the semester is about to begin so I've been up at work planning religiously for the past week or so. Get home and am really tired, so haven't played much DD:DA. B-But I'm still here. And reading all y'all's posts xD

I know the save is on Seel right now and he sucks, but if I get to play tonight, Arya will be back online. Though she never shows up in any pics so I am thinking she is not exactly a fan favorite. *pokes two fingers together and shuffles feet*

Oh, derp moment. I thought I had finally encountered one of you guys' pawns on the street (which has never happened), and I almost snapped a photo of it, until I remembered... wait... that's not a random encounter with Briana! She is actually in my party.

@motomoto - I have Seel and Tsurisuta with me right now. Got screenshots too (will upload once I am on my desktop). Be sure to take a nap with Seel's Arisen before switching back to Arya. I am sending a few goodies.

Yeah, I admit, I took Briana and Shinon when I went to fight Awakened Daimon, and I knew I was close to taking out Death...so I figured I might want as much hp and horsepower as I could get. I'm feeling more confident with my Arisen, now, so I'll make a point of taking lower-level pawns along...

I'll be playing in a couple of hours. Gotta watch Project Runway!

I'd forgotten to nab the flameshroud ring from my storage, so I just had basic immolation. I honestly couldn't tell if I was doing any damage. I tried it after Daimon had fallen, Shinon was already in the process of kissing him to death, which is a lot more brutal than it sounds. 

I probably should have tried it before then, but I'm sorta set in my ways with Ninefold. Once Daimon falls, I'm slightly flexible, but it's Ninefold or nothing until then.

@Shepen - *dies....just a bit* XD Who is Shinon's plastic surgeon...inquiring minds wish to know. *nod*

So I am farming the Fallen City, and I am thinking of giving AD another shot. I am beefed up more this time: I have the kickass magic bow, gold forged. Have gear and augments to shore up my magic number, brought periapts (of the demon variety), and am sporting both my ninebolt ring, and the upgrade to immolation. Also have vim, and stamina boosters/replenishers. Really hope I can take this looney out. I wants it!!

If I can just keep him staggered......

I'm telling you, Immolation/Flameshroud, then hop on his back and Thousand Kiss him to death. Works with both forms. Go get him, girl! You can do it! If you have an Archer party, they'll stagger him for you!

The entire fight lasted less than 10 minutes for me. I used Sapfire Daggers, and gave Gabs my Framae Blades. Also, you can Godsbane that third chest, once he's dead.

Have fun in the area outside. Lots of photo ops.

WOOOOOT!!!!! Awakened Daimon be DEAD!!!! (for now....)

I can't believe I fretted so much about this. LOL! XD I just jumped on his face (for the second form), stacked four demon periapts and 2 conquerers, and Hundred Kissed him goodnight! *sigh!* Feel sooo much better now.

Boo. I'm in the Fallen City, and a Cursed Dragon showed up. And it's the one with the stinking Eliminators and two Wyrms. Figures. We've been in here all of two minutes.

LOL! That blows....I got lucky in the Fallen City; just the Living Armor, Thunderwyvern, and Eliminators. Death did show up, right as I was about to step into the rift stone next to the door to Daimon's lair. Didn't want to waste any consumables so just saved at the rift, and went through the door.

So happy to get AD done with, but got a bit of bad luck with the lvl. 3 items. Pooh. For the weapons, I am trying the trick with lvl. 2 weapons. After getting nothing good regardless of vocation (I really, really want those damn blades, but I am more than happy to take the lvl. 3 longsword or the regular shield). For now, I purified the lvl. 2 pieces, and am saving the lvl. 3 cursed weapons to try again with some other lvl.2 weapons. At least that is how the instructions read to me. *shrug* If I'm wrong so be it, but I will give it a try nonetheless.

Daimon and his second form are the very last room in the Labryinth (right after the Fallen City). It does look like Shepen took Joe with her on her last Daimon killing spree.

Are you trying to get Framae Blades? Both you and Chase have to be Ranger to get those (just switch vocation with Olra before you purify). You'll get either those or the Blackwing Bow. Anything else is a crapshoot.

I rarely swapped out pawns in the vanilla game. Once I hit about ten or twenty levels above my pawns, I'd release them, and probably end up rehiring the same ones. It's a pity their stats don't update when you rest, but I suppose there has to be a reason to release pawns.

These is reeeally dark, but you can barely make out the three dragons, who haven't spotted us yet.



Joe gives the secret signal. (Ugh, I am bummed that it's so dark!)


Three dragons hardly seems fair.


But we beat them handily, no casualties. I left off at a level 3 chest, so I'll be Godsbaning (and most likely fighting Death), first thing tonight.

That's part of the fun, though!

A lot of us here in this thread have added each other as XBL friends - which means we can rent each other's pawns for free. It keeps things interesting, and it doesn't cost any of us a thing.
