That would be cool if you could have a relationship with your main pawn.

There really doesn't need to be romances in everything.

I'd be the first to agree with you.  But if they do have it they should do it right at least.  Either way I can enjoy it.

A controlled enviroment where you just lift things up and down is hugely different from running around killing fantasy monsters.
Sure she looks fit but no one knows what "looking the part"  to fighting fantasy monsters is.

"looking the part" means being athletic. The CrossFit games aren't just power lifting. During that WOD she also ran 400k and did 40 pull ups, 3 sets of those three exercises completed for time. So that's power lifting, endurance cardio and body wieght conditioning with no rests in between over and over and over again. I think someone with her training background can swing a sword.

Ok you made your point. I wasn't asking for bikini anorexic girl either. But in a fantasy heavy game the last thing on my mind is how realistic the person I'm playing as. I'm tempted to play a fat dude lol.

Where's this obsession with ripped women come from BTW? I mean if you're creating a female two handed warrior then it goes without saying that she would have some muscle but I can imagine finding female pawns at maximum bulk in the Rift if go online. I mean, even male warriors don't often display much muscle. Look at medieval imagery and art of knights. They look like ordinary geezers just like today's soldiers don't look like body builders.

My first character will be male and I'll probably be keeping him with the default body build which looks just about right. I'll prefer a rather average guy going up against the giant creatures in the world as it'll make everything feel more epic with small triumphing over big. Where has this obsession about giant muscled women or men suddenly come from? The body builds in the videos I provided above seem just about right to me. The Mystic Knight is a female but doesn't look too skinny. I think Dragon's Dogma is going to be a bit like Dark Souls in regards to armor. Armor will look like armor on a female without those bumps for the breasts!

I've always been into it, it's nothing new to me. It would take me forever and a day to try and explain it myself, so, here I will link to a FAQ.  Pretty much all the reasons covered in it, are why I find muscular women sexy.

Why We Like Muscular Women

The reason I want to create one, well two since both my character and the main pawn will be female and have the same build, is because I want to create characters that I think look sexy and beautiful.  I've always been all about the aesthetics and I'm looking forward to an RPG that finally gives me what I'm looking for.  In Soul Calibur IV and V all my custom characters are the same way.

Also, to my standards the Mystic Knight is too skinny.  But that's just me.

Using Bioware as an example: I wish they had more female characters with arms like Aveline.

The Black Company books have the best examples of realistic depiction of women in warfare.

When it comes to sword & sorcery shlock, nothing beats Sandahl Bergman in early 80s fantasy flicks.

Just watched another live stream, here are some notes:
  • Ogres are attracted to women and go after women while most avoiding male characters. Epic win.
  • There's a dungeon called The Catacombs which is part of the main quest. It's a huge underground labyrinth that the player spent 20 minutes in. It seems like it's easy to get lost in there and it's filled with phantoms, zombies and skeleton warriors (who can actually kill you at LV 35 if you're foolish enough to let them gang up on you). The phantoms are enemies that resemble ghosts and they are hard for non-magic classes to fight.
  • One cut scene showed zombies eating the members of some cult called Salvation who worship the dragon.
  • You have the choice of killing the only surviver of this cult who says that when he learnt what they were about, he wanted no part of it. You can let him go though. Obviously the choice will have consequences later on but like Dragon Age, there's no clear good or evil choice here. The man was part of an evil cult so is it good to let him go? We'll find out.
  • Quests aren't all that simple. The quest about getting into the Catacombs involved the player actually having to talk to NPC's beforehand to learn about Salvation and where they could be.
  • The world map is huge the game looks like it's bigger than Oblivion.
  • You can create Griffin armor.
  • The Catacombs wasn't a simple straight forward dungeon. There were locked doors and plenty of passages. There's no quest marker either.
  • The player can break certain locks and doors open. I'd image that there will be sturdy doors though that can't be broken.

Wow, Elton, that list is freaking amazing! Ogres attracted to females--epic! The Catacombs sounds a lot like Dark Souls, which was my favorite level.

Virumor, I agree with your pick. I loved Valeria in Conan. She was amazingly beautiful and kick ass.

You can craft eye drops to help you see through smoke. You can change classes at any point in the game. It seems that they thought of everything.

I remember someone said that they should make a list for things that aren't in the game. It seems as though there's hundreds of more features that they've yet to announce and probably won't so that the element of surprise isn't ruined.

I think I should stop reading all the articles and watching the videos because they've revealed a lot already.

It seems that would definitely be a shorter list. Also, everything you can do to yourself, you can do to your pawn. So the full customization options and class blending and switching is applicable to them as well.

Anyway... The fact about Ogres is really cool. Usually enemy AI is set to attack weaker characters, but to use parameters such as male vs female is awesome. And it makes since, they're very simple minded creatures and that's exactly something they would do.

It sounds like the Demo really won't be out until a week or two from the game's release. Le sigh... Oh well, have fun with your demo and hopefully post pics.
