I really want to play the game, but have a hard time picking how to make my Arisen. Already made my pawn, though.

You can barely see Shinon's face here, but seriously, he has the most, "I am so above this sh*t" expression all the time lol

Gideon Emery is way up there with Troy Baker for me.
For me, it's Gideon Emery then a pileup of Simon Templeman, Keythe Farley and Brandon Keener.
Oh, and Wes Johnson. Lucien Lachance. Mister Burke. And Sheogorath.
And freaking Karl Hanover. He had one role, and it destroyed me.
On topic:

I don't know why Mercedes' armor wasn't restricted to women.
Time for a hug break!

Just ignore the upside down poisoned undead.
I tried the weapon trick, but it didn't work. I wasn't really expecting it to, since I've had a stockpile of Lv.2 weapons for quite some time that I've been chipping away at, so it's quite far along in the pattern. I'll have to start from scratch tomorrow.

Anything I can do to alleviate having to constantly micromanage my inventory so I don't move like molasses?

It takes quite awhile for me to get beyond "Light." I make all three pawns get almost to "Average" before I start carrying stuff. Are you making the pawns carry your stuff?

At least I think that was Death; I mean, it was a Grim Reaper shadow on the wall, and this insane music started playing, and I started crying and ran back the way I came. >.>

Either don't pick up everything you see (it's tempting, but you really don't need that skull) or give stuff to your pawns to carry. The Sinew augment (fighter rank 5) lets you carry an extra 20 pounds before it starts impacting your movement.
There's also leg strength, which is a rank 9 strider augment. It makes your weight rank one lighter, so if you're running around with "Average" weight, equipping leg strength would drop it down to "Light."

BTW, for more info on augments (how to get, implement, ect...) check out the Dragon's Dogma Wiki. That will provide you with all the info you need. Though, feel free to ask questions here as well.

This is a set encounter that happens with every first visit. Don't worry, he'll be gone when you return.
If you enter a floor and hear strange bells instead of the standard BBI music, (is there music? I totally don't remember.) that means Death is prowling around that floor somewhere, but he hasn't seen you. When the Ominous Chanting starts, he's seen you. You can avoid him if you douse all your lanterns (don't give them to pawns to begin with, because they won't let you take them if they're equipped, I don't believe) and just stay out of his way.
He's not really that tough, (well, HP wise he is if you're low level) he only does three things: blue lantern light = sleep status to anyone nearby, he can teleport, usually when you've just fired off a ninefold bolt to his face so it misses completely <_<, and finally, when he lets go of his lantern and pulls back his scythe, that's time to run faaaar away. Pawns will not listen to you, so don't worry if they get offed, its their own fault.

Are you on Xbox? You can add me as a friend and use my pawn for free, if you want. She's right around level 190, and can carry a good bit of gear. My gt is HappyDaiz73.CronoDragoon wrote...

I can use your pawn, and gift ferry stones and portcrystals, if that helps.

Oh okay, thank god. I was really scared, and was thinking to myself, Just my luck!!!! But thanks for the tip. So far nothing scary has happened beyond that. I'm still on edge. And the pawns keep wandering off into random rooms. I'm like, WAIT GUYS, DON'T LEAVE ME D: They don't care. Heartless jerks.
First time through is easy.
Second time... is when Capcom puts on their troll face.

And don't worry about post-Daimon. It gets tougher, but your pawns will have the knowledge they need (from us using them) to get you through. You might need new underwear, but you'll get through it.

If you can hold on about 10 minutes, I can switch Gabs to Mage. Let me know if you want me to.motomotogirl wrote...
Dang it, we need more mage pawns! *cries*
Edit: ok, Gabs is now a Mage. It's the least I can do after not warning you about Death.
