I find it helps when you have a reference to work with when you're in the CC, instead of just "I want my character to look good." While my Shinon ended up far too angry-looking instead of just not giving a damn, and the only head shape that matched actual Shinon made DD-Shinon look like some sort of alien, I'm happy with how he turned out.

A couple of pics...
A little naked seneschal action (had to copy you, Shep)

And I thought this would be funny. My husband rolled his eyes.

And now I will be putting some clothes on Iorveth, since he's kind of a wimp.

Agreed! Every hack n' slash game I have ever played, it seems like, has wolves that sound like dogs yelping and whining when they are getting beat on. Now, I would say that it is probably fair to make them sound that way (considering both are canine), but many of these games go out of their way to make the wolves more "beast/monster" like, than dog like. So why add the doggie whine?? LOL!
Probably doesn't help that my dog is known to respond to the whining wolves from my video games.
Stupid, adorable dog....

Is that a wolf-whine I hear??

Lol if you think that's bad try killing rabbits. Capcom trololololed everyone with rabbit sound effects.

Wolves very likely do whine when they have their throat slits >.> They are pretty much dogs after all. Not much difference. Not like the difference between a house cat and a cougar. Dogs and wolves can mate and produce offspring.
I don't like killing the deer. There was that "kill seven deer" quest, and after four dead deer, I just couldn't complete it LOL

As for the whines of wolves being like a domesticated dog, yup! They do sound the same. I think the complaint is simply that between the stylizing/context of the wolves in these games (being more threatening/monster/beast type), and that most people's experience with dog whines come from the likes of....well, see above picture HA!......that it causes an emotional reaction akin to imagining your own dog getting hurt. Truth be told, I have started to become desensitized to it, but still wouldn't mind if they left the whimpering out.

I just godsbaned away a level 3 armor because of muscle memory. I'm staring at the retry screen in disbelief. I know I saw it pop up - there it was, Bitterblack Armor Lv.3. My finger was already beginning to press the back button when I opened the chest, it's almost like the contents don't matter.
I've hauled out the godsbane a few times after getting a Level 3 armor, but I've always caught myself before I use it. Until now.
On a related note: best post-godsbane quote by a pawn:
"It seems her mind is in precarious shape." (It was near Olra.)
Second best:
"Tis better we walked, not ran." (Top chest in midnight Helix)

Done that too.
Love when the pawns say things not associated with the normal godsbaning chatter. So far my favorite that I have heard (also in the Midnight Helix)
Chase: I've been poisoned!
Woolie: No....NO!
Woolie: I'll dispel the ailment.

Agreed! I wish our Arisens could be seen by other players in-game. Maybe in DD2?coldwetn0se wrote...
@Carcharoth - Very handsome Arisen. Was Joe in your party at the time, or just happen to be hanging out?
Also, Oscar is adorable.
I miss having a dog. But we do have ferrets, cats, and turtles.
So I was thinking this run with Selene/Iorveth would be my 'hero' achievement run. Nope, I blew it by not doing the training quests at the encampment before fighting the hydra, and couldn't reload to before it. G'damn it. Anyway, I only have 2 achievements left to get - Hero, and the one for completing the game two times. I didn't get it for completing this one. It must have to be in one save.
@Shep - I've done that before, too. A few times. It sucks.

I have only one quest left to do to make the hero achievement pop, Duchess in Distress. I can skip all the others.
Something bugs me, though - in Shinon's quest knowledge, there are three "an unfamiliar quest" slots between Fathom Deep and Deep Trouble. I assume Duchess in Distress comes after Arousing Suspicion, as that's another "unfamiliar quest."
What quests am I missing here? I hope they're notice board ones, because they don't count.

Some of the escort quests I missed in both runs, because I was in too much of a hurry to progress in the mq. I'll still have to do those...I also missed the last Quina one, that I know of.
Wait, notice board quests don't count? I wonder what I'm actually missing!

Alright, so I am trying the lvl. 3 armor trick that Shepenwepet posted. I got three pieces of armor in my inventory, then I saved, switched our vocations, and purified 2 of them. (I know you said five, but I'm impatient. lol!) I got a Gauntlet of Oblivion, and a Hellfire cloak. That sounds like two top tier pieces to me.
I also "grew" Ulee's hair out again. She just wasn't looking herself with the stubble (she didn't look bad, just something seemed to change in her face). I am trying out the low ponytail with the center parted bangs. I kind of like it.

@cold - we like to call it our 'fur herd' (don't tell the turtles that they're lumped unto that title).

Head to the adventure log tab in your history. Match it up with this. Look up any quests you don't have, and that's it!
Apparently the achievement doesn't pop until you complete The Great Hereafter, so you'll have to complete the game again anyway.
@coldi - the trick worked for me until I stopped for the night, then I was back to trash. Hopefully it'll work for you.
