I've done the Lost Faith and Floral Delivery before (not sure which pt, though), but I knew nothing about Grim Tidings. Wow, how do you not miss that? Who goes straight to Gran Soren before killing the Hydra? Argh.

You don't have to leave Cassardis to get the first part of Grim Tidings done. The second part is done later on, after the hydra. It's two quests in one.

Have a Gabrielle, with two sneaky fanboys in the background.

Aww, I miss Gabs...she looks so cute there.

I don't know if I'll ever get this character to that level. We fought a goreclops in BBI, and it took forever and a day. I know it takes time and persistence, but dayam.

Yikes. In my Selene/Iorveth run, I have 10 unfamiliar quests, but they're all 3 stars. In my Lielle/Gabrielle run, I've got three. Two of which can't be done after Off With Its Head.

Looks like I have to start over AGAIN! If that's the case, I'm going to do it with Gabs. I'll be switching back to get this 'speed run' started, so Iorveth will be back on the bench. I just rested, so she should be in the rift now.

Curses! I didn't get to pick up Iorveth before you switched. LOL! That's okay though, Gabs is in my party still from a few days ago (since I took a couple days off...sort of), and we love Miss Gabrielle.

@Shepen - That is a truly awesome shot of Shinon.

BTW, I finally climbed up onto the ledge opposite from Barroch and Orla. Got the two Macabre statues that are up there......and Gabs fell off. XD She was fine though....just a little health drop. PSSHHTT! She can take it (and it isn't like I am not right next to a Rift Stone...lol! ).

Sorry, toots! I think once I get my level maxed, and get my last 2 achievements, I'll be able to relax, and will maybe enjoy that pt a bit more. Oh, who am I kidding? I change my mind when the wind blows.

LOL....actually, I gave AD a piece of my blade, arrow, fist, foot, you name it.....but it was about a week and a half ago. heh! XD I found a way to climb up to that area with an MA (switching between double jump and levitate. I'll take a screenie of the area to show you where I climbed to get up there. It was kinda fun. Made me think of Jak and Daxter a bit.

So I finally got "scythed" tonight. HA! In the Forgotten Hall, it was a full on "kegger" happening. XD
Partied with the two condemned Gorecyclops, a handful of Hellhounds and Wargs, those blasted ethereal Sorcerers (*grumble* - maelstrom - *grumble*), AND Death! I didn't even know Death had come to the shindig. All I know is one moment I am fine, shooting off round and round of Ricochet, next....I'm dead. LOL!! Had to wakestone. Then Shinon went down (not by death, but by the stupid Sorcerers, who kept catching me in Maelstrom...BUGGER!). Managed to resurrect him just in time to see Chase get "scythed"....ahhh, like master like pawn. XD

After Death had finally had enough and vamoosed, and those remaining went "down", I see Gabs. Not a scratch. Shinon is less than half health, I am down a third (and that is with potion management), Chase 'toast'.....and there is Gabs....full health. Good girl, Gabrielle. *kiss*

Now I'm godsbaning for a lvl. 3 armor.....

I'm glad to know that Gabs was such a trooper, hooray! She should be, we've been in that room for the same party countless times before. But you just never know! Good luck with the Godsbaning!

Hells-bells! Chase has been in that room a-plenty. He got careless. Ulee just tells him that he was distracted by the ghostly Sorcerers....yeah, that's the ticket.

Poor wittle Chase. Course, Ulee had to relieve a bit of frustration.....so she threw a giant rat at him in the Arisen's Refuge.

Just as I get an audience with the Duke, and start doing Aldous' stuff, I had to go rescue Selene. Well, I guess I didn't have to, but I'd feel guilty if I didn't. Ah well, at least the Wyrm Hunt stuff is done.

This is all taking longer than I'd imagined, but I'm hoping I can breeze through what's left in a few days. At my level, I'm not having much trouble with these enemies. I miss BBI.

Play on hard mode and use low level gear. The game is still easy, but not lolroflcurbstomp easy.

@Coldwetn0se - Oscar is adorable and gorgeous.  I love dogs and if I could afford it, I would have several, but as it is, I only have the one, a black Labrador.  She is my world. 

@Carcharoth - your Arisen looks good, I agree it is a shame that we can't see other players' Arisen's in game, like we can with the pawns.

@Bionuts - do you have pictures?

I played DD yesterday and unfortunately my level 65 save could not be found.  Where it went, I have no idea. I can only think it glitched when I originally saved it.  Oh well.  Shame really, as during those five levels, my Arisen fought the UR Dragon and got to the Pilgrim's Gauntlett on BBI.  The beasties en route were tough.  Now i'll have to do it all again !

So yesterday, I decided to have a go at the UR Dragon again (twice - gives you sore fingers, cause he's tough), just to build up exp and then I went NG.  I felt like I needed some sunshine back in the game and to start with a new Arisen.  I like the book at the end, that was a nice touch.

I will head back to the BBI soon, when I have built the Strider vocation back up to max again.  I am going to do regular backups from now on!

Question for you - when you do Speedrun Mode, what exactly does it entail? Is it just the MQ?

And that's a good point. I should switch over to hard mode. I'm up to level 192 (or 193?), so I would like to think I could do it, with no issues.

Speedrun mode is whatever you want to do - the entire game is open, but you do what you want. The objective, of course, is to do as little as possible, as you can't save. I don't know if it counts quests completed in speedrun mode because of that. I don't think it does.

You're also forced to play offline, but with a level 193 character, you're not gonna need pawns.
