Wow, good thing I checked Gabs' skills in BBI; I didn't have any set for her! Doh!
@moto - thanks for the rock! Hehe, it was probably due to me starting over.

Almost to the Dark Bishop. I switched Gabs to Ranger, and haven't rested, so she's still a Mage in the rift...until I forget, and rest. Anyway, we're having a much better time now, with no Mage. Backwards logic, eh?

Okay I nabbed Gabs while she's still a mage; this way Seel can continue his sorcerer training and we don't have to worry about heals

I'm now in the Fallen City, and had the "bad" group. heh! Two Thunderwyverns, a couple thousand Eliminators, and a Cursed Dragon crashed the hoopla! So happy to see us!
@Shepen - btw, I think you should consider that song for a DD:DA/Shepenwepet Screenshot Production. (trademark pending)
XD
I have been stuck in BBI for a bit, so I haven't switched anybody out in a few days. Still have Shinon and Gabs. BUT! As soon as I finish godsbaning the Fallen City, I am going to go back to "camp", switch Chase's vocation and grab a few new players. I think I have some things to gift.

lol! I give up.....I have tried all the tricks, and I just can't seem to get the damn items still left on my list. XD
I think I am just going to start gifting my lvl. 3 cursed items. Maybe good karma from giving will grant me some better luck when godsbaning for lvl. 3 loot.

Ooh, I love that line-up in the Fallen City. Actually, I don't. But I've found that if you hover near the entrance, and let the wyverns land before you move in, they don't see you while you're smacking the shiznit out of the Eliminators. You know, stealthy-like. Then you don't have to deal with their spells for a little bit, and can get the oxen out of the way. It doesn't always work, but when it does, it makes me feel like drinking a Dos Equis.
I hear you on the level 3 item stuff. That's part of why I started gifting them so much. And, well, that I already have everything. I think they need to come up with another expansion.
So last night, my husband watched for a little bit, and insisted that I take this picture. Nips incoming.

And Joe's thinking he'd like some new shoes...

Anyone got Crimson Armor set? I'll trade you my life+some awesome stuff
I went on a dragonforging binge a few weeks ago, so most of my stuff is gold dragonforged, and can't be sent. I might have a spare Crimson Armet, but that's it. I'll have to check. We need your gamertag. If you're PS3, there's not many people here that can help.

Killing stuff faster requires less healing in the long run. Plus, mages love standing still and casting grand-whatever right next to a frenzied ogre.

Wow, yeah, it pretty much just makes itself. And that video conveniently leaves out a verse I probably couldn't work with -
Got my best suit and my tie
Shiny silver dollar on either eye
I hear the chauffeur comin' to the door
Says there's room for maybe just one more . . .

I prefer hopping over the rooftops by myself, until I start hearing repeated shouts of "please help me!" from below. I then grumble and jump down to see what all the fuss is about, and get sat on by four eliminators.

I asked them nicely to back up so I could ninefold bolt them, but they didn't want to. Meanies.

The Gazer was one reason I decided to switch Gabs. Normally, that whole fight is over in about a minute, and no Archers in our party, aside from my Arisen (MA), it took about 5 times longer. It was tedious, in fact. Aside from stat leveling, I don't see much use for red or blue classes in BBI, but I'm probably biased in that regard. Team yellow is my weapon of choice.Shepenwepet wrote...

I've noticed lately that Gabs is doing that squat thing more and more frequently, and has added the phrase "Die!" to her repertoire. She sounds so angry! Well, as angry as Laura Bailey can sound, anyway (I think that's her voice, yes?)

People have suggested that pawns "learn" victory poses from other pawns, which would explain Shinon's almost exclusive use of the hand raise until recently. I noticed Joe bowing his head with his hand on his heart, and lo and behold, there was Shinon doing it a little while later.
Still no snapping fingers in the idle animations, though. I want that so bad.
And yes, Gabs is Laura Bailey.

Gabs started doing the looking around business, ala Shinon, fairly recently. I wish she'd unlearn the squat. I think I'm going to blame that one on Arya.
I'd almost rather her do the praying thing that Woolie does than the squat. If Shinon is doing the salute/bow, hopefully she'll pick that up from him, as he's currently in our party.

As for the snapping fingers, Chase used to do that all the time when I first started playing with him. Probably because I would have Ulee sitting idle for long periods. *shrug* He doesn't do it any more, and I haven't seen him do it since somewhere around level 100 (I think??). I guess we need Quintin to inspire.
@happy - yeah.....would have been far smarter to wait for nasty thunderwyverns to set down, before I proceeded. I was just too anxious to see what lot a drew. LOL! Once I killed the dragon kind and the herd of oxmen, I godsbaned for what seemed like hours.
As for mages and sorcerers. I agree that they get themselves in to trouble quite often, and their high damage output is somewhat mitigated with the lack of attacks per seconds. Having said that, I do really like having a Sorcerer around. Woolie is often a standard in BBI, when Chase isn't set as one. Creatures like the barfing gas bags go down much faster when Bolide or upgraded High Ingle is used. Glicel can take out a lot of big bads (hello gorecyclops), and knock down/destroy most weaker enemies. It is also really nice for the enchantments (Holy Affinity, Ice Affinity, Fire Affinity, ect...). Of course, it's not that big of a deal if I am playing an MA, or if I'm playing MK - I can actually enchant our weapons (and more efficiently too).
But like you, I do love our archers!

Red and blue classes ARE pointless in BBI. In my opinion. They're both slow, and there are a lot of flying enemies, as well as ones you need to climb on to attack. Which makes blue classes marginally more useful than red, because they can attack at range. However, they're both still slow.
I prefer killing fast, as Shep and I were discussing. If everything's dead, and quickly, you don't need a healer. Or a tank. The Archers have already slap-chopped everything to bits.
It wasn't a personal attack against you, or your pawn.
But come on, the squat is weird.

I hate how you can't role-play to a certain extent. It doesn't matter if I see Arya as more of a warrior. If she's more useful as an archer type, I'll have to switch her. It sucks.

He liked to hit little things with bigger things. And he was damn good at it.
These days I normally run MA/3 ranger, but there are times where I like to switch things up. Warrior Shinon has its charm. Look at him blinding these direwolves.

Well, I've gotta go scrounge something up for supper. It's looking like spaghetti right now.
