Ok, I'm getting ready to switch to my other Arisen. Don't send me anything, unless you really do want to give me a rock! Hehe.
Hopefully it won't mess up all the BBI cursed gear I gifted today.

I only played the demo, but I like the design and am in love with the character creator. But I've heard that this game is very, very hard. I don't mind playing a game on higher difficulties once I know it, but from what I've heard this game is pretty brutal, which wouldn't be to my liking for the first run. Is that true or was someone exagerating and it's not that bad?
If you're playing on hard mode there are going to be many enemies that can one hit you early on.
However, if you're having trouble with the game, I can send you some quality weapons and armor.

Yep, we can all help you out. Just make sure that you get the DD: Dark Arisen version, not the vanilla DD game.Bionuts wrote...

...I don't know what's going on back there, so don't ask.
Yep, so I spent a grand total of two and a half hours doing Material Witness. That's a walk from Gran Soren to Bloodwater Beach, a trip that would take any sane person no greater than maybe 45 minutes on a bad day. The trip itself took two in-game days.
Once I sort out all my pictures, I'll post 'em. Probably tomorrow 'cause I'm tired.
I do have this nice one of Gran Soren...

Castle walls? Or the ruins of such?

I've been playing with Selene/Iorveth, and am forcing myself to use him as a Warrior, and her as a Sorcerer. Neither vocation is my forte, but I'm trying to make use of the handful of levels we have until 100. After that, I'll probably go back to MA/Archer. Creature of habit, I am.

@coldy - Chase did get scythed whilst in BBI (along with Quintin and Thomas) but I re-enlisted him, so I'm not sure if it changed the stars he got. But if he's now a Warrior, will have to pop back in that riftstone!
Loving the screenshots as always. Shinon in that party hat makes me smile. Shame that Alynna's date didn't go as expected!
And Happy Birthday MMG

P.S., I'm kinda getting into this Sorcerer thing.
Quintin and Shinon partied with some dead guys.

Everybody played with some harpies.

Everyone but Iorveth admired the view of the Capitol.

And I believe the whole of Gransys was wondering what in the heck Shinon was wearing.

How do you get those hug shots? Love them!
I was godbaning the level 3 weapon chest in the Fallen City. Every time I reloaded, Shinon and Briana would jump down from the roof next to me and land like this:

They would then both run forward to get at the breakable crate in the other corner, since I'd usually have opened the chest by then.
It took a couple tries, but I eventually took out the godsbane at the right time.

I should get back to BBI. These guys' armor sucks. But the sky...the blue sky is so nice! I'll be on later today. We have a company picnic to go to today.

And now, Material Witness.
Determined to not let her disastrous date with Mr. Scared of Shallow Water get her down, Alynna got herself a new haircut and a new outfit with the cash she'd planned on using to enhance Jerrome's armor. Everywhere she went, people told her how lovely she looked.

Shinon got himself a new outfit with the cash he'd planned to spend on skulls and absorbent rags. He pretty much just got the clothing versions. Everywhere he went, people went elsewhere.
Except for one person - Barnaby. He asked Shinon if it would be okay if he took Alynna on a trip to Bloodwater Beach, even inviting him to come along.

Shinon grumbled a bit, but eventually agreed. He wanted to talk to Alynna first, though.

Shinon: "You know he's a pawn, right? No emotions, no...*ahem*..desires."
Alynna: "Pawns don't have emotions? Shinon, you're angry all the time. Explain that."
Shinon: "I don't have to explain anything. I have a monocle. Therefore, everything I say is intelligent and accurate."

Alynna: "Okay, I can't dispute that, but can we stop bickering for now? He's looking at us."
Shinon: "Wait. Proof he's not romantically interested in you: he's taking you to BLOODWATER Beach. Puts you in mind of candlelight dinners and dancing, doesn't it?"
Alynna: "Can you not ruin this before it even starts?"
Shinon: "This pawn is ever concerned for your future, Arisen."
A short while into their trek to the beach, a mysterious group of bandits jump out of hiding, their daggers and arrows all trained on Barnaby. Alynna gets Barnaby to safety while her pawns make short work of the bandits.

Barnaby: "Ugh, that pawn of yours, that Shinon? Does he know you can almost see his - "
Alynna: "He says he works better without restrictive clothing. And it confuses the enemies, most of the time. Or they point and laugh, then get cut down."

Barnaby: "Oh, that's not pretty. Thank the maker for strategically placed lanterns."*
Alynna: "Just don't look."
Barnaby: "I'm trying not to!"
After the bandits are disposed of, Alynna finds a note on one of them demanding the death of the head of the Pawn Guild. It's unsigned, and gives no reason for the order. Alynna grows concerned as the sun begins to set, fearing there may be more assassins out there that won't have the courtesy to strike in the light of day. She decides to take precautions. She hands Shinon a set of Caretaker's Garb to disguise himself as Barnaby to hopefully confuse any attackers.

Shinon isn't happy with this, as when he changed his clothes, he dropped his monocle. He can feel his intelligence slipping away.
For some reason, this struck Barnaby as being incredibly hilarious, and the team had to wait until he'd gotten over his giggle fit.

A few moments later, they were nearing the mountain waycastle, when Alynna was shot in the neck by an unseen archer.

Luckily, Shinon had brought armloads of absorbent rags, which were then applied to the wound. She still feels a little dizzy and weak, so the team suggests they wait out the night at the waycastle.
Ser Jerrome is on duty, and Shinon notices this. He tries to hide Alynna behind him as they walk past.

It doesn't work.

Jerrome chews her out for almost getting him dismissed from his post - he smelled of liquid effluvium for days, nobody wanted to work with him. He also explains that armor rusts, and that was the reason he didn't want to traverse the river.
Alynna doesn't believe him, because he could have just said that when they were actually at the river. Things get ugly when Alynna introduces Barnaby to him.

Jerrome: "He looks just like me! Well, his hair is lighter and he lacks my manly stubble and strong jaw..."
Barnaby: "I'm not afraid of water, either."

Jerrome: "That's it, get over here, you little - "
He takes a swing at Barnaby. Alynna steps between them, expecting Jerrome to pull back.

Shinon snaps, shouting "None may touch the Arisen!" and proceeds to beat the living crap out of the soldier.
They stay the remainder of the night at the waycastle, Shinon and Jerrome are eventually separated, and the night passes without a further incident.
The next day, they wake up to a beautiful moon.

Alynna and Barnaby stop to take in the scenery, while Shinon tries to be inconspicuous as he spies on them.

Their quiet moment is soon disrupted by a golem and a freaking tornado.

Barnaby calmly saunters away as Alynna deals with it.
They finally reach Bloodwater Beach, where Shinon and Seel have apparently set up a pair of stools so Alynna and Barnaby can enjoy the scenery.
It's a sweet gesture, but Alynna wants to check something first.
She heads into the water, careful to stay out of the reach of the Brine. It's about knee-deep.
Barnaby waits on the shore...

...then follows her.

Things are looking up.
Later on, Alynna thanks Shinon for his patience and help on the trip, and she tells him she'll buy him anything he wants from the shops as a thank you.

His answer? Some new clothes...

...and a tent.

He's still learning how to set it up.

Alynna seems to be a tad unlucky in love. Let me guess, beautiful but high-maintenance? ;D
I think her problem is Shinon - he scares potential suitors away.
She's actually (up until recently) been a bit of a doormat. I mean, she was in a relationship with Aelinore for a while because she couldn't muster up the courage to tell her that she wasn't actually a lesbian. She didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Shinon doesn't mince words.

Great picture story, Shep! Bravo! That might be my new favorite! I seem to rush through these quests too much. Escort quests I just Ferrystone. I really need to take the long road once in a while.
@moto, happy birthday, and make sure you're wearing stuff you want Dragonforged when you fight Grigori! After fighting dragons in BBI, he'll be a cakewalk!
