I saw some armor the other day, when I was perusing one of the merchants' inventory, and it might be of use. However, I can't remember the name of it (doh!), or which merchant (doh!).

It was similar to Skull Belts, in that there wasn't much to it, but where the belt part was, it was brown hide, like the Shed cape, and with skulls.

I remember thinking that it would be great for a barbarian-type look. The strange thing was that I'd never seen it before then. I must not buy a lot of stuff when I'm playing.

Edit: Derp, that was easy to find. Hide Armor.

The Heresy Cloak being "off" does not compute over here, but since I can't see Chase at the moment, I'll take your word for it. If you say Conan-esque, perhaps the Feral Cape, or its lighter cousin the Direwolf Cape? And I know it's not a cape, but Leather Belts are always a good choice.

Now I'm not sure if Conan-esque is entirely right....maybe "handyman" is better. Heh! Posted Image

Here is a few shots to illustrate (oh, and no doubt - as always - Chase the follower is copying Shinon with the slogs Posted Image)

Posing for a picture, because Ulee demands it....

Briana thinks it funny, and gets into a fit of giggles. Chase is not amused (so sensitive....yeesh. Grow a backbone, man! Posted Image)

Thanks for the info on the Shed cape....must get.

I am a big fan of that armor. Ulee sported it in her earlier days as well.....cuz yeah, skulls. Posted Image

And I finally completed the lady thieves guild quest....

....fed her damn "pet"

And of course, Ulee brought her "ladies in waiting"

And with that, I'm pretty sure if Elton John is Dead is lurking somewhere out there, he probably will never be back to this thread. For reals. Posted Image

 I really love this thread!
Bit behind, but the whole Material Witness saga was !

I think I have the hide armour in storage somewhere, so if anyone wants it, I can forward it on.

I just bought some from Caxton. :D If Chase gets to be a handyman, Iorveth might get to be a caveman. Hehe.

My husband asked if we were acting out some strange kind of fantasy (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) with all this. I expressed utter shock. He then asked if Shinon was going to be a plumber. *sigh*

LOL You tell her, Seel! Handyman Chase <3 looks like he's stabbing someone there lol

FYI switching to Arya, no gifts for 24 hours I guess??? ^_^

EDIT: Just killed a garm... without having a healer in the party, and had hardly any life lost! :wizard: My sorcerer Arisen has become really powerful!!!

EDIT 2: Kind of confused as to what to do in BBI. I'm just walking through the same places. Only quest I have is the one that rewards the Dragonwing Circle, and there aren't any quest markers for it. So I'm just aimlessly wandering. (It really sucks you have to go all the way back to the surface sometimes and can't put portcrystals anywhere)

EDIT 3: *blinks* *comes out the other side of BBI near Orla* Huh. Okay.

EDIT 4: :o:o:o <--- My face as I walk into a room and this spirit rise out of the body of this dragon!!!!! I died :crying:

^ That's the Dark Bishop, and his pet Cursed Dragon. I died the first time, too. In my case, I had Briana and Shinon with me, and one of them (can't remember which, now) got possessed, and killed me.

Don't worry, before long, you'll be scoffing at how easy he is. If you bring a couple of Archers, you can take him down in about a minute, with some practice. Same thing with Daimon.

Mostly it's getting over the fear of them, so you can focus on beating the tar out of them. Posted Image

Also, with the Dark Bishop/Dragon, you may even get something dragonforged when it's over.

I got some stuff forged last night, but the hubs decided he wanted to watch Weeds, so I didn't get a chance to get Iorveth suited up. I'll do that tonight. Finally, some decent armor!

Ahh, I thought it might be him! :o Yes, the fear, I screamed! Like, literally screamed in my living room! What a nerd! Haha... And I was feeling tough because I hadn't brought a healer and was doing so well up until that point. I'm not sure I had even one archer. I had Chase and I think Iorveth... wait, Iorveth's an archer, right? I had him.

The problem I had with the bishop guy is as soon as I pause for a second and start a spell, he starts his red circle of death!! How am I supposed to do ANYTHING like that?! Why doesn't he try to circle of death my pawns? Why me, EVERY time?! It was so frustrating.

Yes, I'm betting on the dragonforging; why else is my Arisen dressed like a fool, wearing five different pieces of miss-matching armor!?

Sadly, Iorveth doesn't have a whole lot of experience with the Dark Bishop (with me, anyway), but I'm working on it. I haven't tried taking the Bishop on as a Sorcerer, but I bet it's probably frustrating. The best tactic for him is to play as a vocation where you can keep moving. Or stun him, so he falls to the ground.

The nice thing is that once you beat him, you'll be able to open another pathway to the surface (by Olra).

And before you leave that room, be sure to pick up the glowy epitaph message. There's a 'secret' room up there, too. Once you're at the epitaph, jump up on the broken pillar, and keep going up. There are two chests in there.

I am playing hooky today.......shhhhh.

@Shepen - Lordy be! Had know idea Chase could bend that way. Maybe pawns are natural contortionists. Or made of rubber.....do they bounce??

XD

@motomoto - are you running as an MA right now, or are you still playing as Sorcerer? Focus your energy on the Bishop (the dragon may knock you down from time to time, but he doesn't have a lot of focused attacks, so you can kinda ignore him). Obviously, when the Bishop possesses the dragon, then you need to mass attack the beastie. Ice seems to be quite effective; Six/NineFold Bolt for MA, and Ice Affinity from Mage/Sorcerer types....and yes! As @happy said, Rangers work quite well against him. He is "floaty" after all. heh! :D

@happy - I really want Iorveth in my party, but Ulee and the Handyman will miss Gabs....too bad I can't use both your toons. :P Ah well.

I am going to grab Iorveth later today, because I believe him to be dignified and dapper. Maybe he'll be a good influence on his pointy-eared cousin. ;D
