Sounds like the Forgotten Hall, with the goreclops and sorcerers. It was probably a Lich that looked like the Bishop. I wish I had some advice for a Sorcerer build, but I don't. In those hallways, being a MA with Ricochet makes short work of just about anything. With the pack of Garms, you more or less just have to jump on its head and go to town. But as Sorcerer, I have no idea.

Do you have Holy Pact?

What's that?

Well, honestly, I got tired of being so useless :? I'm back to MA! :D OH and purified some armor... and got the Immortal Coat for Arya, and some pretty bad *ss looking boots. She's all decked out in gold and purple armor now. I took a nap so y'all could see her in the Rift 8D Need to three star and rarify her stuff though... eventually I'm going to have to play MK *sigh* so I can rarify her stuff. She has no dragonforged shield, which is why she's still a warrior. Bah.

I rented Shinon and Chase. I call them elder ogre bait! Sorry, boys... :? Suddenly it's not so easy having a male Arisen!

I didn't use Sorcerer much in BBI, but I can recommend equipping Frigor or Gicel, Levin or Brontide, and High Voidspell

Gorecyclops are weak to ice, Ogres and Garms are weak to thunder, and it's easy to forget petrifaction is a thing until it strikes one of your pawns.

It's the advanced version of Holy Affinity. When you purify BBI gear, you can get vocation-related rings (chances are better for blue if both your Arisen and pawn are the same color vocations when you purify)...anyway, you can get one for Holy Pact that would yield a stronger Holy enchantment. Might help?

The same general rule of thumb applies for purifying armor and weapons. Just switch vocations before purifying, to get the desired results. Then switch back. And Godsbane as necessary to see if the equipment is better in a different color.

You'll do better as a MA, I'm sure!

Edit: yep, I'd echo Shep's use of spells, too. Grand Gicel is still my favorite, for some reason. :D

Mmm, good to know. I use Gicel a lot. As well as Maelstrom... it truly is the most destructive... but takes sooo looong to charge.

I cannot believe how much easier everything is as MA. Well, hopefully that stint as sorcerer upped my magick a lot. This it too fun to go back.

So I entered the same room that had the lich and the bazillion garms. I saw a shadowy figure and some bell-like music and thought it was the lich again... started shooting it. NOPE. It's death.

RUN, PAWNS, RUN!

We made it out alive :D Scared to go back into that room though lol

I'm not at the godsbaning level yet because I'm happy and thrilled no matter what I get  Seel has Holy Affinity... I noticed Gabs had it and copied her xDDD

What the...when was the last time any of you fought a Frostwyrm in the Midnight Helix, post Daimon? I had one of those, plus Strigoi. Yeeee!

Firedrake in Duskmoon Tower, right before we went in.

Mother trucker...I always get the Frostwyrm/Strigori combo. The only time I get the Gorecyclops in the Midnight Helix is if Death has been hunting me. lol! I despise Strigori. :P

So I switched Chase back to Ranger for a bit. He actually was doing great with Warrior, but once we got to the Gazer.....boy it took awhile. Funny enough; he got the killing blow on it though. heh!

Now, I am about to completely revamp Ulee. I just want to see her looking different for a while. We shall see how it turns out. ;)

I never get the Frostwyrm! It's usually the goreclops. Ah, well. Strigoi are kind of fun to grab and ride/hang on, actually. Then I throw them at Shinon, so he can excitedly exclaim, 'I have it!' Then he kills it dead.

Ooh! I'll grab Chase since I'm near a rift stone. He's great as a warrior, but when we're fighting flying stuff, he just paces behind Selene.

Can't wait to see the new Ulee! Btw, you'll have to check out Iorveth's outfit. I am such a dork.

This guy's very upset that his buddy is dead.

Along with his creepy Succubi harem. One of which I chose to get a free ride from...which sounds kinda weird, now that I think about it.

There's a new Barroch in town.

Uhh, make that two. Posted Image

So when you're possessed by a wraith, this is exactly what you want to see from your pawns:
Posted Image
Shinon's dancing, Iorveth is kicking the air in the opposite direction and Chase is doing his stretches. And to make it even better, they shout out "Attacking it may help!", almost as if to say, "You're on your own master, we're busy."

I swapped Shinon's scar for this one, I think I like the claw mark better.
Posted Image

It does make him look like he's really enjoying Iorveth's company...
Posted Image
Posted Image
^And if SOMEONE hadn't popped an unnecessary Taglius' Miracle as soon as we entered that room, they wouldn't be glowing blue and you'd be able to see that one better.

And please stop whatever it is you're doing to that skeleton this instant.
Posted Image

...I went back to the fortress of remembrance to hopefully try getting my shot, and Shinon was almost INSTANTLY knocked off the steps (he didn't even get down to the bridge) by a strigoi. I give up.

LOL....I love Iorveth trolling Barroch...he deserves to be trolled. HA! XD And yeah....I guess I inadvertently put Chase in Barroch's getup as well....minus the Beastly Mantle and sporting Oblivion Gauntlets.

Death....is no more. Not because Ulee is just that badass at one-shotting him (cha...right! Not gonna happen). No, no.....shot him once with Ninebolt. The pansy fell off the damn bridge. No goodies for Ulee. >.<

@motomoto - You just beat Original (not extra-crispy) Daimon. You can now tool around some more in BBI, and when you feel up to it, you can fight his awakened form. And as often as you please. ;) You should still have ample opportunity to fulfill the quest. Hmmm.....unless it requires that it be done before the first Daimon encounter.

But do not fret. There is a quest on one of the quest boards, that once completed, will have Barroch selling the Dragon Circlet from then on out. So you will get one no matter what. :D

I don't think you have to do any of the BBI quests before beating Daimon. No worries moto, you can still get it. Now when you go through BBI, it will be more difficult, but you can do it! Plus now, you'll be able to Godsbane 5 chests for level 3 armor (well, one is a level 3 weapon chest).

@coldy - I had that happen with Death once, too. Totally sux that you get nothing for it but xp.

That's the quest where you have to get all the inscriptions for the monument, right?

If you've only missed one, I can almost guarantee you missed it in the Dark Bishop's room. It's above the doorway.

If you missed two, try the Tower of Treasons Repaid. From the bottom, climb the stairs until the first landing, head right into the little room and cross the bridge over the poison river.

I think this was the first time a Maneater didn't actually chomp on anyone when we opened the chest. Sure, we all got thrown back a bit, but no nibbling was to be had.

Posted Image

And holy Golems, Batman! I fought two stone Golems in the Pilgrim's Gauntlet, one metal Golem in both the Black Abbey and the Rotunda of Dread. In one night. I'm pretty happy I swapped out Handyman Chase for Ranger Chase, indeed!

I finally got the boys to stand next to each other for a picture. It's like their first day of school! (Shinon tossed his hair to the side, and said he was above it. Hmmpf.)

Posted Image

I've noticed that the Beastly Mantle gets enormous on taller/bulkier pawns. I swapped it back and forth between my Arisen and Iorveth, and the difference was pretty obvious. I think by tonight, he will be wearing something else. I picked up Oblivion Boots, so I'll be working on forging those for him.

I don't suppose anyone has an extra Nebula Cape lying around that they don't want...? Posted ImagePosted Image

I shall check, but I don't believe I do. I know they drop in the chest above the Prisoner Gorecyclops in the Forgotten Hall, so if I'm running around there today I can get you one.

Nothing is out of my way. I run around and take photos. Everywhere is "my way". :) I wouldn't sit there and godsbane for fifteen minutes for it, but I'd give it a few shots. Anything beyond that, I pass the torch to you.

It's crazy how much enjoyment I get out of the photo feature. I can't believe I went through an entire playthrough and only took a handful of photos: one of my main pawn, one of my arisen jumping with excitement as she finally found that blasted snakeskin purse, and a bunch of her beating up various people Reynard.

Well thank you, either way!

I know, being able to take a photo is great, isn't it? It makes other games without that feature kind of ridiculous to play.

I can't tell you how many times I wished during my 1500+ hours in Skyrim that it had that feature. But nooo, instead, I had to snap a photo with my digital camera. With mixed results, I'd add.

I have one ^_^ It is my only one, and I think one of you gave it to me. To be honest, though, I am not fond of its look, so chances are I will not use it. I'm happy to send it your way!

Anything you want in return? I don't have the walk-in closets full of gear in this run that I had in my other one, but I have been collecting and keeping everything I can get my hands on.

:o:o:o W-Why would you do that...  *says the person beat up a child pawn*

About the dragonwing circlet, I think Happy told me about the Dark Bishop's hidden area because yes I found that one. And I believe I now have two left. I guess I will just keep following the purple circle quest marker... I wish there were an in-level quest marker the way there is in Dragon Age.

And thanks for explaining the credits thing; this game sure does love the "post-game' concept! Now that I'm MA and always have two archers with me, BBI is not that hard. I was really making life difficult for myself playing as a sorcerer and hiring whichever pawn I thought looked cutest that day >.> *kicks warrior Chase*

So Arya is still a warrior in the Rift, but in my game she is a ranger. I realize I have terrible, next to nothing in terms of ranger/strider gear, so I guess I'll sleep and let her be in the Rift as ranger, so that if anyone has any cool gear, do send it her way *bats eyes* but she'll be next to useless in a fight, seeing as how she has no points in that occupation...

Oh and I got the blasphemer's coat ^_^ was excited about that.
