I know I've been absent awhile. I've been busy having a Mad Arisen mental breakdown, deciding to eliminate every NPC in Cassardis.
Sorry, but I'm tired of Quina's face:

Selene may be next. She's always moving in with me, you see. :-)

Sorry these are so dark...it was night time, after all.
Iorveth is trying his hardest to be like Shinon. So annoying.

On our way home to Gran Soren, we found another dead man's party. This one is named Chuck.

Someone didn't like him pawing at their Arisen. Sorry Chuck.

How does that smell, Chase?

Oh, you've got to be kidding me. Aelinore? I used Godsbane right then and there.
So...what can I do to change this? Do her rescue quest, and throw her in the water a bunch?
After my recent freak out with Selene, I've got the romance thing figured out pretty well. Just go beat up everyone you think has max affinity with you excerpt your intended LI. Then go talk to him/her. Give gifts, etc. Love up on 'em. Then do end game.
And thanks for the girly armor!!!! (lol) I didn't turn the game on today because my carpal tunnel is acting up. Even typing this hurts. So possibly no xbox for the next couple days. But I can't wait to see it all!!!!!

I tried to get most of the ones I didn't want out of the way, but I can't remember who they all are. I have 11 peeps with max affinity.
I got some silly shots a little bit ago. Chase and Shinon were playing 'toss the boar'. I am such a dork.

Shinon trying to be sexy has annoyed most of my pawns at one point in time. Thomas just couldn't take it anymore.

"Stop making kissyfaces at the camera and HELP US KILL THESE THINGS."

Thomas: This thing you're holding? It's a dagger, not a microphone. You stab things with the pointy end, not talk into the blunt one.
Shinon: Wh-what? No way.
Arya: Dear maker, he's level infinity and doesn't know basic combat skills! Arghlblarglflargl...
I'm about to hop on to check about that eye. I'll let you know, coldi.

Shinon is kind of an airhead, isn't he?
I like Thomas' expression in the first one lol

Your Arisen must have been on the ground for that to work.
Nope, You can see her (she has blue skin now) behind Shinon's arm. I just lowered the camera by pressing up on the right analog stick.

Ran into an Ogre that felt like dancing a jig.

Iorveth being over-protective.

Shinon and Chase playing with a dead guy.

'Throw the boar'. Chase thinks it's kind of stupid.

Then he starts getting into it.

Shinon shows us some of his dance moves.

Posing for the camera, mysteriously lacking Iorveth.

Umm, Chase? My eyes are up here.

When I rested a little bit ago, Iorveth returned from adventuring with someone named 'Triss'. Aww.

Before I switched Shinon to friends only, I'd get a lot of Fire Emblem arisens hiring him. They didn't seem to agree with my rather out of character clothing choices, but truth be told, I'd probably have felt the same way if I were those people.
They just don't know...

She's been scythed often when she hangs out with me, (everyone's pawn has) and it's entirely my fault as my arisen just doesn't help out anymore. She's gotta put down her camera and take out her bow.

lol No worries; I was talking about non-friends who rent her. I don't mind if she dies or jumps off bridges for you guys, well, I hope she gets better in the future and is more useful, that is

Triss and Iorveth were both in The Witcher 2, which is why I thought it was note-worthy.motomotogirl wrote...

I'm kinda thinking I might make a Geralt pawn next time. Who knows. My husband says that when Diablo 3 comes out on Xbox tomorrow, I'll be busy with that for a while. Let the loot fest begin!

Fantastic screenshots as always. I have barely played this weekend, so I have no pics to share myself.
@Shepen - ahhh good! Glad to read you got the eye.
@happy - LOL! Aelinore. Ah yes. Okay.....here is how I have been able to avoid getting stuck with her romance, AND still do the Duke's Manse quest.
1) Go to the Manse, and put on the guards outfit.
2) Go to the top floor, and yes....no matter what you do, your Arisen will get "bizay" with the little trollop.
3) Escort her through the castle, down into the underground and out. Along the way, you will have to pick her up to get her over broken bridge bits and the like. Give her a few good tosses. along the way.....just watch her health.
4) When you get to the cutscene, she will give you an ingredient that will allow you to make an arisen bond.
5) Assuming you have the instructions from the dragonforged to make the arisen bond (I think that is who you get it from...lol), then make one, and get it copied by that ******, Montebank.
6) Seek out whoever you would like to end up with, and give the bond to him/her when you are just about ready to take on Gregori. **If you are trying for Reynard, obviously you have to time things just right with his final quest, since he will disappear once the quest is complete.
7) Consider a backup as well. That is what I did on that last run. I wanted Reynard, but if that didn't work, I would be fine with Sir Max. So I gave them both Arisen bonds. Ended up with Max. It may or may not have been a good idea. Don't know for sure. I just didn't want to end up with Aelinore, or Madeline (though I would have been ok with her, simple for extra 'bloomers'. heh!).
Of course, if you already have the Arisen bond from a previous play through, then start her quest, and try killing her right before you leave the underground. lol! It may deem the quest failed, but you will still have the Manse available to loot and plunder later on. At least I believe that is accurate.
XD
Good luck!

I tried getting into the Manse anyway, and got up to Aelinore's room, and it was empty. Couldn't get to the other areas, because she had the key. One of these times, I'll get it right, I swear it. I would have been happy with Mercedes, or hell, even Fournival, but noo...stupid Aelinore. She's getting Liquid Effluvium right off the bat next time.
So I gave Caxton the Gold Idol, thinking he'd get better loot. So far, I haven't noticed anything new or different, even post-game. Meh!

As it turns out, the quest was marked as Cancelled, as I had to do the Greatwall one before getting to Grigori. Even though I Godsbaned, it took me back to immediately after the Greatwall, so there was no fixing it. No biggie, I can just do NG+ after I tire of the Everfall. Of course, that resets BBI too, and I'm enjoying copious amounts of Dragonforging, so I'll hold off in that, I think.

You should still try interacting with your intended LI before Grigori... if you have multiple people maxed out, it might go with the last you talked to....

I know what to do in my next run, but like I said, I have 11 people to seek out, and I don't know who they all are. I'm guessing random guards or something. lol

I'm trying out Mystic Knight in BBI. Wow, big mistake, as I suck at it. First trio of Garms, and I had to use a Wakestone.
I fixed Iorveth up a little bit - improved his physique, and gave him a smaller neck. He looked like he had a turtle's neck before. I'm going to attempt to Dragonforge something new for him. If I don't get pwned in here.
Edit: let's just say I'm back to being a MA...

That didn't work for me
I did Aelinore's quest first time round and never got max affinity with her. I think it's because I dropped her several times in the escape and let her get attacked a couple of times

I took Ser Max out on his last quest and gave him quills before Grigori. Still ended up with Julien! How does the game work it all out?
As far as I can tell, it goes by the first person you maxed affinity with if you have multiple people maxed. The only way to change it is to lower their affinity, which is hard to do when half of the people disappear after their quests.
My last playthrough, Aelinore had high affinity just by not letting her die. I didn't stab her and get arrested like I did in my first game, thinking the arisen's bond I'd given to... I forget who I gave it to, but it certainly wasn't Aelinore, would take priority over her affinity. It did not.
This playthrough I shall test my theory. If I'm right, I'll get Barnaby. If I'm wrong, oooh my savior, I knew you would come for me, even though I don't know you at all, because you showed common courtesy that one time and didn't let me be murdered..
I'll probably end up with Valmiro or something and I'll have to start from square one.

So I went to the Everfall.
Found a big, stinky eyeball.

More dead guys.

And some ladies with large ta-tas.

And some cockatrice, goblins, etc. It was kind of a relief, tbh. All that Dragonforging with really crappy gear was hard on the health bar, if you know what I mean.
