You can take away Shinon's microphone, but he'll improvise.
Posted Image

That little ledge in the Rotunda of Dread/Black Abbey/Sparyard is a great spot for screenshots, all your pawns jump up there, it's a small space, and things get crazy.

LOL....Now whenever another pawn has those Framae Blades on them, Shinon will be inclined to "speak" into them. Poor confused pawn. XD

Great shots as usual! Favorites are "Hello, ladies" Joe and Shinon and his microphone fetish.

Fingers still hurt, though not as bad as earlier this weekend. It's hard to resist the urge to turn the xbox on. Sigh. Turned it on to stroll through a DA2 playthrough, thinking it'd hurt less, but it was still pretty bad. Bugger.

Oh, Shinon. Posted Image I love it. And I'm really sorry that I haven't changed Iorveth's outfit yet. I feel bad that he completely ripped off Shinon's look, but the stats are just so much better than most of the other stuff that I have...and Oblivion armor looks terrible on guys. I wish they had made an alternate version that looked a little less dress-like.

We just got Diablo 3 yesterday, so I probably won't have much to contribute, snapshot-wise, for a little bit. Unless I'm able to rush home after work to get a little play time in before the hubs gets home.

Egad. Awakened Daimon killed all my pawns. Very sorry that Briana and Gabrielle were returned with three stars. :-(

But I beat him all on my own!

Congrats! Hope you got something good from the chests.

Speaking of chests, here's Team Sovereign's Mantle during an awkward chain-tangling moment.

Guys, if you're gonna be practically climbing over each other to get at a stupid gather spot, you deserve it.

Oh, and Shinon is somehow impervious to boulders. Posted Image
He just kept on struttin' while Joe flew backwards.
Posted Image

Speaking of Joe, he seems to be very protective of Iorveth.
Posted Image
Posted Image
^well, that last one seems like it'd be rather painful, but he means well, I'm sure.

Look at them. Aren't they adorable?

So Joe is now wearing traitor armor, betrayer greaves, and the hellfire cloak. He's stuck with iron gauntlets. Where do I find matching gauntlets for the cloak/greaves/armor?

Just keep purifying armor level 3s while your arisen and Joe are a red vocation.

The quickest way to get level 3 armors is to go to Midnight Helix, there are two in there, although the chests are sometimes a bit disagreeable and will spit out rift crystals for about half an hour.

The chests you're after are the one at the very top of the room and the closest one in the back room above the poisoned river. Save before you open them, if you don't get a level 3 armor, use godsbane and reload.

Once you get both armors, the chests won't reset for a while, so you can go kill daimon again to get another armor or two. It's all luck of the draw, so you might be purifying stuff for a while, or you could get it on the first try.

I still don't have Hellfire Gauntlets (tons of Sinner's Gauntlets, though), and still only one set of Oblivion Gauntlets. Other players are swimming in pools of them. It's all random.

^ I haven't gotten any new cloaks in this run, aside from a boatload of those stupid Sovereigns Mantles, which are level 2.

BTW, those photos are great. What is it with pawns trying to protect Iorveth, anyway? It's like they think he's got a handicap of some sort (shoddy spec'ing, perhaps?). He's getting better.

I haven't played in a couple of days. Dang you, Diablo 3! *shakes fist*

I think they're concerned that he won't see anything coming from his right side. ;)

I would have bought it too, but my gold runs out on the 15th and I hadn't really planned on renewing it until March for Dark Souls 2.

And my brother and I already have two games similar but probably inferior to Diablo 3 on the go, which we quickly lost interest in - Dungeon Siege 3 and LOTR: War in the North. We couldn't get enough of the old Snowblind games (Champions, Baldur's Gate: DA), but something was missing from DS3 and LOTR.

We played Dungeon Siege 3 couch co-op for a little while as well, and lost interest fairly quickly (played for just a couple of days). It felt a bit anemic in the fun category. As you said, something was missing.

Haven't played LOTR: War in the North. We played one other LOTR game a couple of years back, and weren't all that impressed.

Well, in Diablo 3, so far we've found a couple of towns, fought a bunch of baddies, picked up a bunch of loot, and crafted a bunch of gear. Honestly, I feel like I should be having more fun than I am (it IS fun, don't get me wrong), but I sorely miss DD's combat. In D3, you unlock skills as you level up, but I'm kinda stuck on a couple that I like, and am button-smashing for a living. And I miss snapshots. My husband, on the other hand, is in seventh heaven. The things I do for love.

I probably won't get to play DD again until late next week, when I'm back from Vegas.

Snowblind games were my true love on the previous gen consoles. I kept my old consoles just for them, in fact. My husband and I would co-op for an ungodly number of hours. NG+, then NG++, finally NG+++. heh!

I suspect that he wouldn't do that with me anymore. :( He's too busy on his downtime watching American Pickers and whatnot, for free on his iPad. :P But I shouldn't complain, he lets me rule the TV. :D

Still haven't gotten back to DD, and I am seriously missing it. I am mod testing on the PC, and it hasn't been going......smoothly. Still, I think I need to take a break and make a run through BBI. I get to kill the first Daimon again, then I can start godsbaning. Come on Oblivion Coat and Framae Blades!!! XD

Great snapshots as always....I think the bare chested boys look pretty good in their Sovereign Mantles. :D :D

I have personal reasons for not liking the Sovereign Mantle. You can't see Iorveth's ponytail. Posted Image

The Wyrm Hunt Mantle is my favorite.
Posted Image
Shinon has a rather...I don't want to say skinny... slender neck, and capes that don't have a little height to them look awful on him. The Sovereign's Mantle can sometimes look a bit bulky, the Wyrm Hunt doesn't have that problem.

And of course, there's my first love, the Heresy Cloak. But in order for that to work, Shinon needs something else to cover his neck and shoulders, because this is a pile of ick.
Posted Image
I just don't like that empty space, so I fix it with the Patterned Gambeson or Hard Leather Plate.
Posted Image

I am extremely picky when it comes to gear in DD. Were this any other game, I'm sure I would have put my character in the Oblivion Coat and left it like that until I stopped playing, because stats.

But it's just that oogly. And it messes with capes, besides.

Loved those shots of Joe, they made me laugh.

I have to apologise but Joe, Shinon and Briana got scythed by Death (Briana twice) in the area before the Fallen city. He's tough. I couldn't risk losing more pawns, so ended up in a sheltered alley continually telling the pawns to "come", so they would stay behind my Arisen. They were just itching to have a go at him.

Arthur, my Arisen is a MA, so used ninefold bolt and ricochet, but only managed to get health down by 3/4 ... of ONE health bar, before he disappeared!

The last time I played, I was surprised to run into Death twice in the same area. We must have poked around too long or something. Anyway, we got some really good hits in on him. Didn't lose any pawns, and whittled down a couple of health bars. At this point, I think he's got two left.

I hope I remember how to play when I finally get back to DD!

To not lose any pawns and two health bars is impressive. I can only dream of doing such damage!

I think that will be my ultimate aim in DD - defeat Death!

Oh, you will. Handily, I might add. By the time I reached Infinity on my other Arisen, I'd beaten Death three times. Twice for real, and once because I knocked him off a cliff, and got no loot - did get the xp, though. And that was after cowering in any cubbyhole I could find, because I was scared. I avoided Death for a very long time.

At some point, you'll get past that, and will come out with both guns blazing. Don't get me wrong, he still scares the crap out of me sometimes, by Shanghai Surprising me through a wall, and whatnot, but he's not so bad once you figure out how to stay alive, and do damage.

I am really off my game. I played for a bit last night (hubs didn't feel like playing Diablo 3), and got a snapshot. One. And it's silly. I'll need to work on this when I get back next week.

My short stint into the Everfall...
Posted Image

Very soon after that, I went back into BBI. Went in the second path from the surface, fought the Dark Bishop/Cursed Dragon, ran back to Barroch to rarefy the stuff the CD forged, then went back in. Had to stop right before the Sparyard, though, as it was getting late.

Pretty much how I react to Death :D Crouched in a corner, yelling at the pawns who are just casually walking around, no latnern, in utter darkness, heart racing... oh yeah, I have a liftstone, PHEW!

*snip*

I miss having short stints into anything. The Share Monster has consumed me. Completing the Watergod's Altar quest took four hours over several gaming sessions.

Sometimes when I load up the game and the Share button doesn't work, I think I'll be able to concentrate and get stuff done... but I quit instead. I'm terrified I'll miss a good shot. It's become that important to me.

And have fun in Vegas! I'd so blow all my money on the slot machines in like ten minutes and have to hitchhike home, which is why I will never set foot into a casino. I'm quite certain I'd have a gambling problem if I was given the opportunity. I mean, it'd suck if I couldn't reload and get all my money back.

I just had flashbacks of the slot machine in Borderlands 2. All of my money went in that thing. No jackpot. Ever.

Do we need to schedule an intervention? Hehe. Well, all of the time and effort shows; you get some great shots.

Thanks! I'm hoping we find some of the newer slots that have more video game-esque bonus rounds. The last time we were out there, we played the hell out of some LoTR ones, that allowed you to unlock new areas of the map, and new mini-games. The nice thing was that you could create a login, which would save your progress, and you could log in at any other LoTR machine in any other casino, and pick up where you left off.

I used to have a bit of a gambling problem myself, but now we just go once or twice a year. The key is to only take what you're willing to lose.

And I know what you mean about the Borderlands 2 slots. I spent a lot of time with those, and actually did jackpot a few times.
