You can get three dragons every time if you bring a rancid bait meat to Duskmoon Tower. If a cursed dragon doesn't spawn after the drake, drop it. A second cursed dragon seems to always spawn if you leave and come back. Great place for dragonforging indeed.

I played a bit last night, only got a handful of pics due to the poor lighting of the witchwood.

Here's Shinon being an absolute gentleman with Sofiah, Selene's Arisen.

And an oldie I haven't shared yet, I think. Handyman Chase is on fire!

Sounds like we all need to shift gears, and get back into DD.

Touche ^_^ It's harder to find time for gaming since the semester started, and then after I completed the game with Rohan/Seel, it kind of sucked out some of my enthusiasm. But I intended to get back into it soon. Maybe tonight? I'm sick with (hopefully) a minor cold, so haven't much else to do, other than continue watching ST: DS9 episodes. And sorry the game is stuck on Seel (who looks like crap because I was expecting a final battle of some sort, so picked armor with the best stats); should've left it on Arya before last turning it off.

I have gotten three dragons before, but only with rancid bait meat. This time I didn't drop anything, and I was surprised to get that second cursed dragon, since I had literally just stepped inside the door way to go through the first part to the Midnight helix, then stepped back out. Very pleasantly surprised. :D

I have had some rotten luck with dragon forging the last handful of times I have played, until today. Hell, the Braided Hosen I had on, I put on over two weeks ago; they are just NOW forged. lol! In the immortal words of Yosemite Sam...."Dragons are sooo stupid!"

Shinon's one of those guys who would moon your Grandmother, while caravanning on a family vacation, huh. XD

@motomoto - hope you feel better soon. ;)

Oh, Shinon. Hehe. :D

Well, I'm still playing Diablo 3. I see Oknenah is playing it, too (Woolie's master). I just can't seem to put it down. All of this talk about dragons reminds me that I need to go check on my Ur Dragon gear. He was down to a sliver when I fought him.

Dragonforging has blown chunks for me lately, even with Cursed Dragons. *sigh* I may need to play DD just to take advantage of them being generous again. It's funny how things like that are similar between our games.

@moto - I caught a cold, too. I'm guessing it was from being on a plane. I always seem to get sick after I fly. I've been doing the Cold Eeze stuff, but it doesn't seem to be doing much of anything. Meh. Hope you (and I both) feel better soon!

Thanks coldy and happy :) I'm taking Cold Eeze, too, and usually it doesn't work, but this time it seems to be holding things at bay. It's probably all psychosomatic though. I probably just didn't catch a severe one this time. Hope you start to feel better, too :)

How exactly does the Ur-dragon work again?? I tried fighting him once, and had absolutely no affect on him. He ultimately flew away. What was supposed to happen?

Zicam, my sick compadres. My husband gets sick if somebody looks at him funny...the man's immune system has gone to the dogs, about a year and half ago. Anyway, he will take Zicam when he firsts starts feeling sick (and I will as well, just as a precaution), and that seems to keep things at bay. It also helps shorten the length of illness, should you get it anyway....at least it works that way for him.

Hope you both start feeling better soon. ;)

Downloaded all the new screenies (got a few fun ones...gafaw!), and will post soon. We are just about to start watching the latest episode of the "White Queen". Then, I will be back at it. Course, I just polished off more wine than I needed with dinner, so I may end up suckin' big time. XD

The Farseer cap rocks! I really should start putting Chase in a few of these items. I still have him set to be rented by the general public, so he does risk ridicule (or being ignored...LOL!).

Getting a few more good shots. Screenies opportunities are good tonight. Go figure. *shrug*

I saw this I thought "Hammertime"!

MMG and Happy, hope you feel better soon.

I love the Farseer's cap, I put it on Thomas a few days ago, because it gave him a slight Robin Hood vibe.  Tried to match up the outfit where I could with that hat!

@Coldy - let me know what you thought of the White Queen (I am guessing that it's based on the Philippa Gregory book).  I saw the first two episodes and then missed a couple Posted Image  Jeremy Iron's son is a handsome lad!

We've been watching The White Queen, too. Henry Tudor's mom (the one with the horrible jaw/mouth) is sooo rotten! I was so sad last night at what happened last night, though. And wow, the Bad Queen truly is. Oh, I'm chomping at the bit to talk about it!

Dang it, Diablo 3 or DD?

I remember her! I don't think it's on the iPlayer anymore, so I hope it pops up on Netflix soon.

I would say choose DD, but I downloaded the Diablo 3 demo, and I did enjoy it. Problem is I keep moving the right stick thinking it's a camera pan!

So Joe did something cute today. When Thomas died, Joe picked his lifeless body up and brought him over to my Arisen lol Then when Arya kicked the bucket, he did the same thing.

Thanks, Joe! :wizard:

^ I thought they always do that? Maybe I'm just used to my pawns dying. :D

I ended up playing Diablo 3. All day. Yeesh. Maybe DD later, after the Newsroom...

Edit: ok, the suspense was killing me. I got 2 Totem Maces, Talarian White, and a Lustrous Greatshield from fighting the Ur Dragon. Too bad I'm not playing MK.

And I played Dead Rising 2 all day, until the demo for Ducktales Remastered that I forgot I was downloading finished. ( I played the original for far too many hours as a kid.)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but "meh." You can't skip dialogue, (there's a lot of it, unlike the original), only entire cutscenes. So if you read faster than.. I dunno, a literate sloth, you'll be constantly begging these little cartoon ducks to TALK QUICKER.

I think I just wanted a direct port of the NES game with a shiny new coat of paint.

Was there just that one Ducktales game? I seem to remember playing that many moons ago, myself, but I'm not sure which system it was on. That one you tried today sounds annoying.

In DD, I went to Duskmoon Tower, fought a Thunderwyvern, and got everything forged. What the? Well, I guess my dry spell is officially over!

And I'm Godsbaning. Zzz. Ooh! Chase opened the chest, and it yielded level 3 armor. Yay!

@happy and newschmoo - I love historical drama, historical fiction, biographical series, ect...I was a history major in college (what the hell was I thinking *slapsforehead*). Margaret Beaufort (Henry Tudor's mother) was most certainly an interesting character. And she may seem relentless, but she becomes surprisingly crafty in years to come. The portrayal of her husband in Philippa Gregory's story, is so sympathetic. The last episode made me a bit misty.

Good god, I godsbaned for what seemed like an eternity last night. And for what? Two flippin hoods.
*THUNK!* At least it was a gold rush of dragonforging. I got all kinds of hideous outfits DFed. lol!

You people with your other games....bah!

;D

Margaret Beaufort, that's the one. My husband and I were trying to figure out what about her face was driving us nuts, and we think it's her jaw and mouth. And she is always such a drama queen, that the lower half of her face seems wrinkled all of the time. I'm curious to see what she turns into. I just love those 'love to hate' people. Honestly, right now, she's a much more interesting character than Queen Snoozlestein.

I hear that. After leaving the Midnight Helix with everything forged, I got two Gauntlets of Shadow. Really? I should have just gifted them.

I think you'd like Diablo 3. I just started my third character last night. (I'm trying out all of the classes). This one is a Witch Doctor. I kill beasts with blow gun darts, or a jar of spiders...I can even slow their movement with a spell that consists of disembodied arms reaching out of the floor, grabbing at their feet. Oh! I got a new spell at the end of the night - I can summon demon dogs to aid me. It's a good thing, too, as they're a helpful distraction. I think this class would be nearly impossible to play Nightmare/Hardcore on, unless it was NG+. But the priiiize!

My favorite is Monk, so far. OK, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Have a poorly-lit Shinon and Chase.

Which reminds me...I really should send them back to you guys with something. I think I've had him and Shinon for what seems like a couple of weeks.

Blame my brother. I went over to his house on the weekend and was instantly conscripted for wiki/checklist duty as he tried to get his last few achievements in Dead Rising 2. I got sorta caught up in it and had to play the game myself when I got home.

But I did abandon my DA2 playthrough, as I figured.

I need a new DD photo project to get me motivated. Perhaps someone would like to see a pic of their pawn doing something? I need a goal, aimless wandering can only take me so far. :)

I haven't been to Soulflayer Canyon in ages. Maybe I'll go there next time I play.

Wow, people... I am disappoint. No posts in three days?! I get sick for a week and look what happens :P

Hope to be on the mend soon. Arya is back to warrior, building up stats before hitting 100. I like her in warrior/fighter gear so much more. I wish fighters carried their shields on their backs instead of having them flopping along on their arms... I'd much rather her be a fighter than a warrior cause warriors move sooo slooow. But hopefully the day will come when she's so powerful that all it will TAKE is one or two blows to help fell an enemy.

I played as a ranger for awhile to dragonforge her ranger bow. I suck as a ranger lol

I hope you are feeling much better. I think everyone has got distracted by other games, myself included!

Re Arya, I'm sure that day will come soon. I thought she made a great ranger, quite lethal with those blades!

I will have a play tonight. I am back in Gransys because I want to build up my Arisen's strength before going back to BBI to deal with the re-awakened Daimon and co. I also want to max out the Strider/Ranger vocations for my Arisen, but Gransys isn't as exciting or challenging as BBI. But it must be done. It's good archery practice though!

@motomoto - hope you're feeling better. I'm with @newschmoo, Arya did quite well as a Ranger. ;)

I have some new screenies which I will post later. I am going to switch Chase to Sorcerer for a bit, in about 3 more level ups (I think it's three). I decided to change his build schedule a bit differently. Initially I had worked it out that I could get both his Strength and Magick up to 500+ for each, by the time he reached Infinity. But now that he is so close to 500 in Strength, I have changed my mind a bit.

Now I am going to get his Magick only up to about 465. Between augments, rings and gear that raises Magick, I can get him at or over the 500 mark, which I think is plenty strong for running in a Magick vocation. He'll never be the powerhouse Sorcerer that Woolie is (the big guy sits at over 700+ Magick....zoink!), but he can still pack a punch with 500+ Magick. This way, he can also add a tad more to his strength, before reaching Infinity. Adding elements that raise his strength number, and I should be able to get him around 575+ for strength anytime I set him up with a Strength vocation. I think this will still be a good balance, and his defenses should be decently balanced as well.

By the way, I am trying out two new augments from BBI, that are quite fun. Adhesion and Opportunism. The first keeps you stuck like tree sap to any beastie you cling to (and it really does seem to work well). The second, increases your Strength by 20% while clinging to a baddie. Since this is now my preferred method for taking down AD (jump on his chest/face, and start hundred kissing him....lol), I figured this could be fun....plus, it will help when I forget to take my periapts...*smacks forehead*. So far I have used it on Garms, dragonkind, a regular Gorecyclops, Gorechimera, and an Elder Ogre. Dead.....dead, dead, deadski. In no time flat, too. XD

Kinda musing on putting Chase back in his Handyman outfit. Too bad there isn't a Mario style cap that he could wear. heh! @Shepen's pics at the top of this page, make me want to put that outfit back on him. ;)
