Fabulous! New digs for Iorveth and Shinon (possibly new CC changes??), and more screenies. Keeping my fingers crossed that the servers updated; I didn't get your gifts yet, Shepen.

I am off to an appointment at the bank, but I am cutting out early today (I think....if things stay quiet, that is. lol!), and then I will continue my hunt for those pesky microphones. XD

Oh....and that friend of mine, just started playing DD (and I really mean just started....I think she just got Rook). Gave her my gamertag, since I don't know hers. She is brand new to Xbox. Normally she games on her PC. Hopefully she won't get too frustrated with the beginning of the game, and joins our goofy thread.

^ Just make sure you tell her not to go to the blue quest marker yet (Bitterblack).  When you connect with her, let us know! I'd be happy to add her as a friend, so she can use Iorveth/Gabs.

I'm looking forward to making some new screenies, myself! This whole time I've been playing Diablo 3, I've been cursing the lack of screenshot option.

Hey, Shep, I did get the mushroom you sent ^^ (I forget what it's called... at work right now.) But Seel got it instead of Arya! LOL! I didn't know that could happen. I thought the game would make me wait until I switched back to Arya to get gifts that were sent home WITH Arya. Evidently not!

Not sure if I'll be able to play tonight... illness is having a bit of a relapse <_<

@happy - she just texted me from work, and told me she DID go to the blue quest marker, and off to BBI. LOLOLOLOL!!! yeah. She died. Everyone died. XD XD I explained a few things to her, and I am sending her a little "cheat sheet" to help with building her PC and pawn.

@motomoto - sorry to read you are still under the weather. I grabbed Seel last night, and gifted him some items.

^ Oh no!  Well, I bet that's pretty common.

I know of at least three people that went into Bitterblack right away, and it scarred them. None of them are playing anymore. Interestingly enough, they now all think the game is "too hard".

I suppose it makes sense, if that is your initiation (trial by fire) to the game. I'm glad I played vanilla DD first, so I didn't make that mistake, myself.

I just gave Shinon a minor makeover and a rather silly name change to reflect his new look. It won't be for long. He ditched the farseer's cap already because he kept walking into walls.


And hopefully you'll get those gifts soon, Chase worked for 'em.

I am still floating on cloud nine...I am a simple hearted creature for the most part. ;D

I just saw Valkerie (mnomaha's newest addition) do the funniest thing. She is set as a Fighter right now. She used Shield Drum, approached the pack of wolves, then put her blade away, and threw a rock at one of the beasties instead. LOL! It was awesome. XD

So yes....new blood is a female pawn. *thumbsup!*

I'm currently playing with Coldi's porn star pawn. Chase is yummy and super archer! And....and I am totally tanking his butt with these stupid bandit mobs and killed me at least three times. It is a veeeery steep learning curve my friends.

Why is Val throwing rocks? She never did that before. Are you giving her wine?

Chase looks tiny compared to Daimon! If he has new blades, does that mean more news correspondents?

Yeah, that Farseer's cap is a bit low, but I like a feather! Luckily Thomas is going through a crap hair stage, so I don't mind covering it up.

@Coldy, I can send your friend a request if that would help, as my Arisen is spending a bit of time in Gransys (building up his archery skills).

@MMG - Hope you feel better soon. I've still got Arya, so I'm hoping that when I come to release her, Seel will receive her gift.

Re the UR-Dragon, last night I fought him off-line and on-line. But his health never goes down on-line. I don't get it?!

I started playing, and had no idea what to do with myself.

So we fought a Hydra in the Everfall.


Then fought a golem, who knocked my Arisen down. Shinon did nothing to help, snif.


And I have apparently forgotten how to play. I kept using down on the directional pad for the map, and instead kept telling my pawns to "Come". Then I jumped every time I wanted to talk to someone. *sigh* Diablo 3 has taken over my mind.

Anyone have a Black Hydra Scale I could borrow? I promise to return it!

Newbie! <3 What is your XBL gamertag? I'm the same as here (motomotogirl). I'm about to turn the game on. I have two pawns... Seel and Arya. Unfortunately, I'm playing with Seel now, and he's at a much lower level than Arya. But perhaps you'll still find him useful ^^

I think he's got several million hp or something? Basically, you only get to fight him for a limited time, before he flies away. So you get to keep coming back to do whatever damage you can. When he finally is defeated, you'll get rewards based on how much damage you did to him. Sadly, to get anything decent, you have to give it a few whirls. If he dies sometime before you go back, you'll get a message when you go in there, so you don't need to worry about losing your winnings. (At that point, you have to go across the field to the other side, by the exit and the stone, to collect your stuff).

From what I understand, you also get the Abyssinal Outfit if you get the killing blow on him? I could be wrong on that.

When you see my pawn, Iorveth, he's dressed similarly.

If you're fighting bandits already, wow, you're brave. In my first playthrough, I turned tail whenever I saw them, until I got to a higher level, or died. They can be pretty brutal, and hit hard. Especially the ones right outside Gran Soren - there are some that snipe from the tops of the ruins that aren't immediately obvious.

You can hire two support pawns, for a total of 4 in your party. Might as well make use of it! I can switch my pawn to my other one, Gabrielle, if you want/need a Mage pawn - just let me know. Well, after I regain control of the tv from the hubs.

Thank you! The wiki says it's attainable post-game in Frontier Caverns. I went there, and there was no Hydra. I still have my cold, so maybe I read it wrong. Hehe.

I sent you a FR, and it comes complete with free and unlimited usage of Chase's partner in crime Shinon. Actually, he's having a bit of an identity crisis tonight, so he's not quite himself.

Edit: I have a black hydra scale. 'Tis my only one, but I don't need them. I don't have Iorveth with me at the moment, but I'll swing by the rift and pick him up when I get a chance.

mnomaha, Seel is usually a mage/sorcerer; I can switch him back if you'd like to have a mage in the mix?

So, fighting the griffon at Bluemoon Tower, and the stupid thing knocked me about 80 feet off a cliff and into the water. Instead of dying, my Arisen miraculously "appeared" back on the tower floor. "There's nothing to be ashamed of, Master!" cries Thomas. Aww, thanks, Thomas. You're right, there's no shame in benefiting from a glitch. None at all.

I see you too.....Val is lover-ly. I sent her back with Knowledge (cuz knowledge is power....), a new outfit, weapons, and a wakestone. The wakestone can be used to revive your Arisen from the dead (if you don't want to use "retry").  I'm only able to gift you one of those at a time, but figured you might like them right now, just till you get more comfortable.

Totally throwing rocks, and I swear to bejeebus that neither I nor Chase taught her that. LOL!! Next time, I am going to give your gal some girly-girl stuff (she too can be a porn star. HAHA!)

Still finishing the cheat sheet. You should have in a few hours.

@Shepen - I'm kinda digging on BarnABy. Though, a gaseous meat sack need but look at him, and he is "Poisoned!"

@happy - great pics, as always. It always makes me laugh when I switch between games....notorious for pushing the wrong buttons. lol!!
