Newbie! <3 What is your XBL gamertag? I'm the same as here (motomotogirl). I'm about to turn the game on. I have two pawns... Seel and Arya. Unfortunately, I'm playing with Seel now, and he's at a much lower level than Arya. But perhaps you'll still find him useful ^^

Ah yes, those days seem like a lifetime ago.  Thanks for the welcome, I'm sure I'll be here often with my expoits in dying. Or somebody else *looks at Coldi* will regale you with these tales at some point.

So right now, I've got Chase and my Val and, um, Rook, who isn't holding up so well. I should probably change that.

As a side note, I'm leaving the witch's house and I have the feeling I'm about to get my butt kicked. Again.

I do  I'm easy though. So far I can recommend Reynard and Valmiro. Though I warn you that Reynard sounds kinda stupid with the English voices. (I play with the Japanese voices... his ******. voice is sex-ay!)

...some of the shots I got tonight, wow. You want a mess? Head to the Garden of Ignominy and hope it's a pile of saurians. Wait for your pawns to climb up on them, run right into the middle of everything and start snappin'. Don't do any climbing yourself as it fixes the camera when you try to take a screenshot.

I just (finally!) got the Framae Blades golden forged, and Chase is now sporting them. Will save from the Rift, so you can have another "On scene reporter", @Shepen. heh!

@mnomaha - Ohhhhh lady. We need to have a chat about Dragon's Dogma "loveeee". lol!! Tis a sport all to itself. ;D

As for the helper sheet.....got a little sidetracked this evening. Didn't completely finish it. Will have it for you in the morning though. And again, use or don't use as you see fit.

@Happy - thanks for the advice about the UR-Dragon. I think I shall pop in from time to time to see what damage I can do and maybe one day win the prize (or maybe not). Oh and what a Hydra shot! 

Hello @mnomaha, I hope you are enjoying DD! I died all the time when I first started as I didn't have a clue what I was doing and didn't realise the enemies weren't at your level. I learnt to run a lot! Will send you an XBox request later.

@Coldy - thank you in advance for gifting Thomas. I am looking forward to Chase's reporting skills (with his new blades)!

So, here was my night.

Spent more time on the floor than anywhere else.


Iorveth and Shinon showed off their abs (as usual).


And my Arisen got held up by her pawn at...arrow point.


I keep forgetting that I have Revenant Wail. I need to switch to Ranger, so I can get it forged, and give it to Iorveth.  That thing he's using just doesn't have enough bling.

Oh, and @Shep, Shinon offed himself while we were on our way to the Midnight Helix. There were some phantasms right inside the entrance, and he decided he just couldn't go on, and jumped into the brine.

lol...Bad Iorveth! Trying to get the "jump" on your Master. XD

It's funny, I didn't even notice that Iorveth wasn't using the Revenant Wail. Dragon's Glaze is still a nice bow, and it does do some nice ice damage to Gorecyclops and fire based mooks.

Set Ulee up as a Sorcerer for a while, and then Chase is going to be back as one for a handful of levels. I originally was going to set him as one now, but since I wanted @mnomaha to get Chase as a Ranger (more practical for her place in the game), I switched him back. Besides, I DID decide to have him level up more on Strength than Magick, so......

Got a trunk full of snapshots I need to upload. Will do so shortly (I say that a lot.... XD )

Nah, it just takes getting used to. You can do it!  

Once you start using Magick Archer as your vocation, I think you'll have an easier time, as it has auto-targeting. Aside from MA, I've decided that my favorite ranged class is Assassin. I just wasn't all that good at squashing enemies with Strider and Ranger.

Are you still using Rook? I saw that you mentioned it earlier. If you are, I'd definitely recommend ditching him. He's really only good for a few levels. My pawn Iorveth, or any of our pawns, can be used by going to the rift. I'm sure Coldi probably clued you in to all this stuff, but I thought I'd mention it just the same.

You'll get better  But it is hard to hit a moving target LOL Especially wolves... I pretty much give up being able to hit those little f*ckers. Just run up to 'em and stab 'em!

@Happy...*giggles* I totally dumped Rook for Iorveth last night! So me and Valkerie were pretty much dropping things so Chase and Iorveth would bend over to get them. LOL Just kidding. It feels like cheating, but I like it!

@moto....yeah, archer and wolves is never gonna happen for me. I barely targeted the cyclops. I am *that* bad. LOL

@mnomaha - when you start getting good augments to implement in your build, bow shooting will improve quite a bit. For now, just use it as an AoE (mainly Cloudburst, for example). Then use your daggers for everything else. The more you practice though, the better you really will get.

Ranger and Assassin are my top favorite vocations, with Magick Archer coming in closely behind them. Truth be told, I actually have found most of the vocations fun at one point or another. Hell, as steep as the learning curve can be (well, at least for me.lol!) with Mage/Sorcerer, the first time I was able to execute one of the big spells successfully was not only tremendously satisfying, but also quite deadly!

I still am probably the most "skilled" in Ranger and Assassin. I'm a bit clutzy with the Magick based vocations, and using shields has always been my biggest weak spot.

^ I hear that. Assassin was something I never gave much of a chance to, but once I did, it was super fun. And I got pretty good at it. Having an enchanted fire bow helped.

I was pretty good at Mystic Knight and Fighter for a while there, but I seem to have dropped quite a bit in skill level. And I've never once used my shield to actually block. I just don't think of it, during the heat of battle! But then, I've never been any good at sword and board combat.

I actually found the magick vocations pretty fun, once I played them for a while. You really have to figure out a way to get yourself out of danger before casting a big spell. Then it eventually becomes second nature.

I think I prefer Sorcerer, of the two. Gicel has a special place in my .

I'm an ace at magick archer. Sorcerer is #2. I spent a lot of time playing sorcerer with Dai, and oh, I also love Gicel It's awesome when you can wipe out a room with just a couple massive spells. But all that magicking made him an even more powerful magick archer now.

My other Arisen spent most of his time as assassin... which to me is just a combo of strider and fighter?? I got decent with that, but it's not as fun as MA... but I didn't want to spend time making the exact same kind of Arisen, so I'm now playing him as a ranger. I'm getting better at being ranger.

Is there a preference between ranger and strider for pawns? Seel's building up strider skills currently. I think striders are more likely to go in with the blades versus rangers, who prefer the bow.

yes! Love Gicel...I just want the pawns to start sliding so badly....kinda a silver surfer thing. XD

I just setup Exequy for Ulee. Have never tried it before, but always wanted to. Suspect it will be great in Gransys and Everfall, but not so great in BBI (except where there are a lot of Greater Goblins, wargs, and hellhounds, maybe. lol!

Nooo! I have been back to BBI and defeated two Garms (after using lots of Wakestones) in the Garden if Ignominy. But forgot to save and my Arisen got munched on and killed by a Maneater. Gutted!

BBI is a lot harder post Daimon. I mean really tricky.

Nice to see new pawn Valkerie. There aren't a lot of female pawns. Maybe I should change Thomas' gender for a little while!

@Coldy - love the screenshots, but who is the blond pawn with the eye patch? He looks a bit like a blond Kurt Russell.
