Works especially well with a sorcerer who continuously casts maelstrom and gicel... for some reason the guards ignore him and go after the two archers....

Whenever I did it, I always had to jiggle the controller once in a while, or it would turn off, and the game would pause. Must be a setting somewhere...

The pawns are being such smug bastards, too. Half the time Seel starts gearing up maelstrom, then he's like, f*ck it, and just pew pew's the guy with his staff lol Shinon is shouting, "What else would you expect with ME around?!" Pretty much the only one not being a twerp is dear Thomas lol
...Who, FYI, ran off with Seel earlier in the game. I watched as Shinon sprinted delightfully forward to open yet another chest and realized... we were alone. It took several seconds for Seel and Thomas to come lightly jogging back into the room.
I think Thomas is trying to start a pawn revolt.

As you can see, Seel chaperoned the event and tried to stay as far away as possible to give them privacy. Not that that was necessary because all Valmiro talked about was how he wanted to travel, see the world, collect specimens, blah blah blah. Rohan was too busy wondering why Valmiro calls him "cousin"... are they related? If so, is that legal? And is it okay if he thinks it's kind of kinky?

Rohan: All right, that's it. Less yappy, more slappy.
Seel: Master, wait!
Rohan: You're not invited. Better yet, go distract Ser Max for me, will you? He likes quills, do something with quills.

I'm tired, too. I should go to bed. But it's Saturday.... Ever since I started working full time, the weekends have become so golden.

Okay, I'm frustrated. I've tried forever to complete "Hope Springs Infernal." I let the stupid bat things drink my blood, then kill them, but they won't drop the dang bloodred crystal. So... if anyone out there has just one bloodred crystal (or if you have a lot of them and can spare one) I'd be so eternally grateful. I can duplicate it twice and then finish this quest and finally get another dragonwing circlet!
I assume by "bat things", you mean the Strigoi, correct? Even when they drink from you, it isn't a guarantee that they will drop the bloodred crystals. I have gone weeks without any, then one night they will be dropping like poop from a guinea pig. I believe I have an extra one. If you need more, just take that one, and get it forged from Montebank. I forge crafting material all the time, since some crafting material takes forever and a day to drop.
I already shut down for the night, but I will gift it to Seel tomorrow. Also, I gifted him a lvl.3 Armor this evening.
BTW @Shepen......the outfit. The OUTFIT. *chuckle* So dreamy.....

I can't wait till Seel being a powerful sorcerer can actually mean something. Right now, he dies like ten times in every fight. It's a bummer.
p.s. Looking up at those pictures, I just realized that Valmiro is frigging buff.

I didn't play yesterday, I sorta got caught up in Fallout:NV. I started Old World Blues. I probably should have left that DLC for last as it's generally regarded as the best one, but whatever.
I do have a bunch of pics that depict a typical Shepenwepet Maneater encounter...

This is that chest in the Ward of Regret that always seems to have one. I waited for someone to open it. They didn't. They just stood there, milling about, occasionally jumping over the chest.
But then I figured, what if it isn't a maneater? WHAT WILL I MISS OUT ON?...

...it's a maneater. Shinon quickly looks the other way...

...and then runs, leaving the other pawns to do all the work.
There's also situations like this, where an exequy spell is still hanging out when the maneater's dead.

I thought these three were smarter than that! Come on, you guys! What are you doing? It can still kill you!

...ah. You wanted to do your victory poses, and to trick Shinon into killing himself. How nice.
...he actually didn't die there, and I'm not sure why. He's died many, many times in the same situation.

I do miss V.A.T.S, though.
@moto - it can take forever, like Coldi said, to get Bloodred Crystals. In my Selene/Iorveth run, I still haven't gotten a single one, and they're level 130-something. I shudder to think how many Strigoi I've killed in that time. Once you complete that quest, you'll be able to just buy a Dragonwing Circlet from Barroch for your pawn.
Who is your LI in the run you were playing while on a date with Valmiro? Ser Max?

I think if I decide to replay I will go for Mercedes next. She's female and a major character, so she's sure to have a decent ending lol Her good-bye scene always chokes me up.
And okay about the bloodred crystals, guys! I had no idea they were such a pain in the ass for everyone, not just me. Well, I'll just be patient and maybe wait 10-20 levels before I try to fight those scrigori again. They seriously just destroy me. And the stupid floating red balls that can really only be killed with magic... god I miss my magick archer!! And my last attempt, Seel evidently fell of the bridge. *sighs angrily*
On pants, yeah I know, and archer boots usually do hide them, but Seel has the greaves that Woolie has now so you can see his pants. It's no big thing though. I wish he could wear the chain hosen because it matches his shirt perfectly.

And Val and Seel keep running off together. Maybe he can do that lightening/cold thing that I read about from an Anders fic.

@mnomaha - I sent Val back with a portcrystal and...something? I know I gave her some new clothes but I can't for the life of me remember what they are.
@happy - I bought the ultimate edition of NV last year for 20 bucks and am just getting around to it now. I beat the game, I sided with Yes Man because he was a Kid in the Hall. I resisted using companions for the longest time, I figured they'd just get in the way, but... Boone. He kills things I don't even see.

That's in banter, too, between Isabela and Anders!
I'm so sorry he's off doing kinky mage stuff with innocent Val

Well, I'm off. I think Alynna and Shinon got invited to a masquerade ball in the Duke's Demesne.

Shinon's gonna be crushed when they turn him away at the door for being a soulless automaton.

Can never leave well enough alone. Just spent about an hour in the Character Creator redoing Ulee once again. I have been trying to get a particular hairstyle to work for weeks. It looked awful on all of my prior attempts. This time, I built a face that was meant specifically for that hairstyle. Is that weird? O.o
I don't want to babysit Fat Bastard's kid, but it does make it easier to acquit him when charges are brought against him. I need the big turd to keep me stocked in periapts (even though I have already stocked up substantially in case I just don't feel like bothering with him).
But for now, off to the water god alter. Taking Val and Shin, who is still dressed very "colorfully". XD

I kept handing in petitions until Shinon said something like "it seems like Fournival will be found innocent", then I went and crashed at the inn for a few days.
Aaaaand guilty. Shows what Shinon knows. Now I can't get Maker's Fingers.

Loving the look of everyone's Arisens! Gransys is blessed with gorgeous looking Arisens! Rohan could be in Final Fantasy.
Talking of Arisens, this is my first Arisen, Anna. She was quite petite and a complete tomboy -

This is my current Arisen, Arthur, he's quite metrosexual and a bit vain -

And here he is carrying a deer, who is not very happy!

I did try riding a cow, but it went horribly wrong and ... well I'm not doing that again
Edit - things always go wrong when I try to post images! Must go to bed!
