Loving the look of everyone's Arisens! Gransys is blessed with gorgeous looking Arisens! Rohan could be in Final Fantasy.

Thank you :D I am sure there are some people on the BSN who would be insulted by that, but I make no bones about loving the pretty boys  One of the reasons I love DD so much. Can't think of any other CC that lets me make a character who looks like that. Am also an anime nerd, so yeah! Though never played FF before lol

Arthur is a handsome bugger, though I suppose you shouldn't tell him I said that. He sounds the vain type

Oh he is!

I have Final Fantasy XIII (which I will finish off playing one day) and everyone is pretty and it's a lovely looking game. I am not really one for pretty boys, but I do like Snow in it. Yeah, he's nice!

I want to try out a couple of Japanese RPGs, so I have that game, plus Lost Odyssey to play at some point. Hopefully within the next year!

^ And Snow's VA just happens to be Troy Baker.  Posted Image Trust me, I get it. That voice could keep you warm at night.

I still need to finish that game. I got a decent ways into it, but got stuck on a boss fight. I probably just needed to grind more, but now I've forgotten the entire story. If I ever play again, I'll probably have to start over.

I didn't care for FFXIII myself. The only character that didn't get on my nerves was Sazh.

Lost Odyssey made me feel eerily uncomfortable... but besides that, and despite playing it on a non-HD tv at the time and having to ruin my eyes to read the text, it was a fantastic game. I might have to play it again someday.

Oh, right, Dragon's Dogma... uh...Shinon, distract them with a little jig as I think of something relevant to the thread!

I know why that is. Posted Image

My apologies @New, I didn't even see that you'd mentioned Lost Odyssey. I loved that game. I admit, I haven't finished it myself but there are very few games these days that I DO finish. Definitely worth a try. It gets more fun when you get Sarah and Ming on your squad, for sure. And I just love Seth.

And I also loved Sazh in FFXIII. How could you not?

LOL....why do I like these distraction pictures so much. :D

I'm loving the last one that @Carcharoth posted. XD

Been trying to get through the main campaigns now, with this current NG+. I want Everfall loot. Been to long. I will miss the blue skies (especialy while we have remnants of a Typhoon from Japan here in the PNW....so dark.....so gray.....too flappin' wet!), but I am actually very shy on Everfall loot now. And some crafting materials. I suspect I will end up with Max again.....*shrug* I don't feel like completing Reynards quest (such a bad person). And even if I can dream of easy/quick access to Fat Bastards inventory, I would have to label him worst. dad. ever......where's your ankle biter, fat man?!?!?

XD

I don't think you have to finish Reynard's quest; just get him to max affinity and give him Arisen's Bond AND make sure you talk to him last if you have others who are at max affinity.

Same with anyone else, I think....

Though Reynard's ending quest is so cute, the way he walks off into the sunset... *sniffle*

Screw Fat Bastard :P We can supply you with periapts. I saved him the first time, but second and third... screw him. It's one of the few side quests I made sure to do lol Hate that guy!

I googled Snow; he's a hottie! :D I don't normally like pretty guys, but he's like perfect combo of pretty and rugged.

I realize I lied about FF; I did play FF: Tactics. It was super fun. But as I understand it, not a typical FF.

I've actually played a Japanese RPG. Possibly because they usually come out on PS2/3/4 and I don't have one. But also because they don't let you create your character.

My friend is playing Lost Odyssey, or has been, for like... a year lol It's apparently very long, though she is a beginning gamer and finds it difficult.

Yeah, I know about the affinity, but his affinity increases significantly if you do his quest. Over two play throughs I have completed his quest once, and given him an arisen bond before. There are only so many Reminishrooms I will pick for that man. LOL! That's ok though, I'm fine with Max....he's a man of few words. XD

As for the periapts, I need access to a lot of them. When I go Death hunting or Ur-Dragon hunting, I can go through 15-50 of those puppies, easy. They stack (up to four), so I get some great damage numbers from them. I have so much $$ now, I might as well spend it on periapts....can't take it with me. Oh wait.....I CAN!..........NG+ XD

If only we COULD gift each other more than one item at a time....we all would be sitting pretty, me thinks. ;)

Oh wow... I always give you periapts because I know you love them. I guess it is kind of pointless, just getting one at a time >.< I had no idea!

@moto - have you never used periapts? I know we've talked about it (a lot) in this thread; I'd assumed you'd probably be using them by now.

I like periapts, and I use them, but I like using the potions that affect the whole party instead: Tagilus' Miracle, Salomet's Secret, Decoction of Bandlily, Steel Nut Salve, etc. Having the whole party kick butt is pretty nice.

I for sure take that stuff when I'm planning on fighting any flavor of Daimon. Or Death.

But alas, all that crap is heavy.

If you're a magick archer, Magick Rebalancer is exactly the same as a Demon's + Mage's Periapt - it stacks, too, apparently.

I usually give them to the pawns.

DD: DA is... a very involved RPG lol Like I said... I'm not used to RPGs. They're a lot more complicated than FPS (which is what I'm used to playing most). So it's weird that I can't rely on just having great aim or quick reflexes (which is what I'm good at). That's why I get so frustrated when I'm having perfect aim and speed... but my arrows aren't causing any damage.

I'm having to learn to rely on all these extra things... like periapts. But it's hard to remember to do so. Just a couple days ago I used a "sundering tome" book for the first time... I made some rocks burst out of the ground because I realized it was the only way to kill these floating balls (the ones that possess you) and I had no magic user in the party.

It just... takes time. This is hard for me!

I think one reason why I love MA is that it's so easy. Just up your magick skills and BOOM! you are a bad ass. With MA I can kill a cockatrice or chimera in about 20 seconds. With ranger... takes like... 2-3 minutes?

Drakes in DD: DA ... takes 30 minutes to an hour, no matter what >.< I hate those guys!!! Though the last one forged my dragonwing circlet. Love that guy ;)

@carcharoth - that is the cutest Chimera I have ever seen! Particularly when he (or is it they) is sleeping.

I have to admit I don't use the periapts as often as I should ... maybe that's why Death has so much health left! I don't have that many. Does this mean I have to escort that brat around Gran Soren again? I also must try Magick Rebalancer, I'm not sure I'm aware of it.

And nice to see Sazh. I used to love it that Chocobo Chick lived in his hair!

Because periapts stack, is the main reason I use them. I use the potions as well, since they affect the whole group. I admit to finding something oddly satisfying fighting Death, taking down a whole bar of health in one shot of Tenfold by my Ranger Arisen, while stacked with four periapts and equipped with Blast Arrows. LOL! Ahh the simple pleasures in life. :D

From the wiki regarding Conquerer's Periapts:

◾Boosts Strength by approx. 20% for 60 seconds.
◾Can be stacked up to four times (multiplicative).

And for convenience, some has done the math:

"4x Conqueror's Periapt boost your strength by 2.0736 times

AKA, if your strength is 3,000 it would be 6,221 after taking 4 of these

If it was 5,000 it would be 10,368"

This is the same for Demon's Periapts as well (which raise Magick).

It takes the total number of strength (or magick) points one has (Base + Accessory/armor boosts + Weapon + augments), then attaches the multiplier. And in the easiest terms....more means high strength or magick, and kills things faster. :D

Well, then... perhaps I shall be using these periapts after all! LOL!

Thanks for the explanation. Maybe I will use them the next time I encounter a drake. I know there is always one that hangs out in the "deer field" room (where Barroch is initially located). By the way, I am thinking of changing Seel to Scatherer/Challenger instead of the other way around. Too many of the pawns (him included) rush for the Big Bad and leave me to deal with annoying wolves or harpies or some sh#t lol I need at least one guy to take those suckers out while I'm busy dealing with the stupid drake (who not surprisingly only attacks me).

I took a break from xbox to try to stave off the addiction ;) I'm thinking I'll fire it up every other night instead of every night. I actually... watched a movie last night. And... read a book. Wow!

What spells do y'all like for a sorcerer? I got rid of High Silentium because Seel is now wearing a ring that boosts Holy Boon/Affinity... but I'm not a huge fan of the boon thingies.
