Spoilers, but I'm going to try to keep them rather vague in case mnomaha hasn't beaten the game. I'd link the pics, but flickr won't let folks without accounts see 'em.

I went ahead and beat the game, got my last achievement, and Alynna got an interview with Ghost Balthier. Everything's good.

She then tried to reenact a scene from The Graduate. It didn't work out as she'd hoped.

"Are you trying to seduce me, Miss Alynna?"

This Arisen doesn't belong to anyone here, right? If he doesn't, the "Friends Only" trick doesn't work.

I didn't even get to see the pawn because Shinon sniped it.

I wish we could get shots of the book in the credits. That Shinon-on-an-invisible-motorcycle picture is fantastic. Gabs was also on one. Chase and Seel had very macho poses, arms akimbo and chests puffed out.

And no Aelinore in the ending cutscene, nor was she in the final hall, the "LI" spot was empty. The beach scene had Barnaby. I'm beyond confused.

Thanks for letting me know about Aelinore. I have already done her quests and once was enough!
Love that Graduate screenshot ! I thought that if you were set to 'friends only' then the Seneschal would reflect this. Oh well.

I love the book, it was a nice touch. I had Chase in the motorcycle pose in my book, looking fierce!  For some reason he showed up as a warrior, even though most of the time I used him, he was a ranger.

Shinon had the macho pose when I completed the game LOL It cracked me up. I also had Briana, Chase, and Iorveth (though I had used Gabs most of the time, Iorveth was in the Rift). I can't remember their poses though.

I liked the little quotes that came with them lol I wonder if it's related to the personality of the pawn.

I think I have cleared out all the Hellhounds (I generally take that task on myself, since the bimbo brigade...won't! XD ), but no.

Going back and seeing this, it reminds me that I intended to change Seel to Scatherer / Challenger. Most of the pawns are the opposite. I get my ass handed to me by those stupid hellhounds, too (unless I'm playing MA).

I long for the day when it only takes me ten minutes to kill a firedrake

Seel and Rohan are inching towards level 90, and when they do I'll switch back to Arya and Dai. Miss those two.

If you're playing MA, all it takes is a few Ninefold Bolts (or Sixfold Bolts if you don't have an upgrade ring), and it's dead. You don't even have to hit it in the heart, and it will drop.

When playing MK and encountering Firedrakes, I often pull out the staff, and use Levin, just to get the bastard on the ground. Then switch back to cudgel, jump on chest, and whack-a-do all the live long day. :D

As for changing Seel's Inclinations, Scather will send him after the biggest bads on the field. If you are looking for him to charge after the annoying adds (like hellhounds, gargoyles, goblins, ect...) try switching his Primary inclination to Mitigator. If you do just want him close to you, use Guardian. Just make sure you put something like Utilitarian, Medicant, or something like that, as his Secondary Inclination. Guardian plus Scather/Pioneer, and to a minor degree Challenger and even Acquisitor, can conflict with each other. The reason; they are primarily used for opposite field motivations, and you end up with a confused Pawn. LOL!! (one is to "stay"near the Arisen, the other to "go" seek/fight....so to speak. ;) )

Yeah I use that to bring them down (when playing my MA Arisen). Even so, killing them while they're writhing on the ground still takes many, many tries.

Wow, thanks for that!!! I thought Challenger was the "defeat the Big Bad first" inclination, as all the pawns have it, and they ALL rush towards the dragon (and leave the little guys to me).

I have heard that Guardian is a red flag, and no one will hire your pawn who is a Guardian... but that might be good for Seel since he keeps coming back with 3-4 stars. I haven't had a 5 star rating for Seel in weeks *sniffle*

If I select Mitigator / Scatherer then he should destroy the wolves first then the dragon, yes?

I don't know how much the game prioritizes primary inclinations over secondary, since you do have the useless guardian/scather pawns out there. Mitigator/Scather sounds like there could be some minor conflict, since they're aiming for weakest and strongest respectively. Will he be running back and forth between the wolves and the dragon? Not sure.

Shinon's a Challenger/Scather, I believe, and he does whatever the hell he wants. Challenger is focused on ranged and mages, but he's usually too busy climbing on chimeras to worry about those guys.

Oh, good point about Mitigator/Scather. Maybe Mitigator/Mitigator? As ridiculous as that sounds. Kill all the wolves/harpies/etc. first, then help me out with the Big Bad.

I think most of the pawns are same as Shinon. They ALWAYS go for the dragon/chimera/cockatrice. Hell, they're the worst at running for the condemended gorecyclopes. NO I don't want to fight that guy at the moment, thanks!!!

Oh, whoops. Forgot to post this. Part 1 is done, many more to follow.

*Note: Shinon is also in charge of the identifying graphics, if the first pic isn't enough of a hint. Hopefully when it resizes the pics you can still read the text.

10142713116_483591c5bf_z.jpg
Shinon: Good Evening, Gransys. Tonight, we bring you Part One of our in-depth report on Bitterblack Isle, an island off the coast of Cassardis that everyone swears wasn't there a year ago. Where did it come from? What secrets does it hold? I talked to a few locals to see what they had to say on the matter.

Shinon: Hello, sir. What can you tell me about Bitterblack Isle?
10142525044_a0994deb5e_z.jpg
Pablos: Huh? Is that outdoors? Oh, I don't go outdoors. That's absurd. Standing behind this desk 24/7, that's the life. Oh, hey, would you like to rest a while? 50 gold for a nice warm bed.

Shinon: Nah, my master's house is just around the cor-

Pablos: That's right, just 50 gold and I won't shank you in the stomach.

Shinon: But I just said... wait, what?

Pablos: 100 gold, I won't shank you in the stomach and I won't watch you sleep. That's a limited time offer.

Shinon: I'll give you 1000 gold if you'll stop talking right now.

10142637785_083ab3920a_z.jpg
Valmiro: Hey, Cos!

Shinon: I'm not your "cos". Would you perchance know anything about Bitterblack Isle?

Valmiro: Yes, Cos. I've heard that on BBI - that's what all the cool kids call it - there's a wondrous plant called Kingwarish. If I had a few of those, I'd surely be able to make it about 3/10ths of the way to the Encampment. Would you mind fetching me some, Cos?

Shinon: Will you stop calling me "Cos"?

Valmiro: *thinks hard for several moments* Perhaps.

10142765073_9e41171ca8_z.jpg

10142629545_39bb52d0dd_z.jpg
Rook: Oh, Bitterblack Isle? Yeah, s'over in that direction. My master says I'm not allowed there.

Shinon: Oh? Why's that?

Rook: Apparently the wolves there are so big and strong, they don't even need to hunt in packs. They could swallow me whole before I can even shout "No! They hold the advantage!"

Shinon: But that goes against everything we learned in Pawn School. Are there goblins that don't mind fire there too? Do BBI ogres like men?

Rook: Well, don't go that far. I'm just saying what I heard. Hey... where'd you get that nifty microphone?

Shinon: Gods, there's a cyclops behind you! You'd better get moving!

Rook: *looks behind him* Wow, thanks for the heads up!

10142527994_6d45f25d4a_z.jpg
Selene: Bitterblack Isle? Oh, I'm sorry, I just heard the name a few times. But you... you're talking to me? And you're not afraid of me or threatening to kill me? Can I come live with you?

Shinon: My home is a giant misty void. Come to think of it, wasn't that where you used to live?

Selene: Oh, right. Does the riftstone still have "Selene and Sofiah 4ever" written on it?

Shinon: Nah, someone wrote "Chase for Seneschal" in permanent marker all over the thing.

Selene: ...it was right next to the "For a good time, hire Joe" near the stone's center.

Shinon: I'll check next time I'm home.

10142734585_fab6c3b185_z.jpg
Shinon: So there you have it, ladies and gents, part one down and we've not even scratched the surface of this mysterious island. Next time, we head for Gran Soren and the Pawn Guild. Perhaps my kinsmen are a bit more knowledgeable on the subject.

I think... this is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. I, erm... cracked up at the office and was kind of embarrassed because I was laughing really loudly LOL I can't imagine what I would tell anyone who wanted to know what it was I was laughing at. "No, um, you don't understand, see, he's the innkeeper, so he never leaves the inn. And it's stupid because to rest you have to pay 50 gold, even though your house is right there...."

The characterization was so spot on. Air-headed Valmiro <3 Thanks for properly rewriting his quest as that seriously should have been the description. I mean, come on.

"For a good time, call Joe" <--- my favorite... along with mischievous Chase xD

(Kind of missing Seel's old hair now.)

Also, yeah, Pablos is like way short...

And the obvious, more, more, more, MORE!!!!!!!!!

Interviews I'm looking forward to: Aelinore, Aldous, and Quina. Will the pawns be interviewed as well? I'm sure Chase will have something clever to say xD And Briana will just smile wisely and wink at the camera.

Quina. Dammit, I knew I was forgetting someone in Cassardis. Chief Adaro too. Oh well, they'll all have their moments. I'll fit them in next time.

Yes, pawns will be interviewed, and some will be sent on assignments in BBI to do the interviewing, once we get there. I've got interviews with a maneater, a pyre saurian and a banshee roughly outlined. Monsters aren't off-limits here either.

Monsters!!! So we will get to hear what the gorecyclps thinks about being locked up for all eternity for no particular reason. Or why Death always comes over when he's not invited (ass hole). Or what poison undead ate that upset their tummies so much....

Looking forward to the interview with the maneater. I mean that is a scoop, because generally they just tend to swallow you!

And Selene's an ex-pawn? I think that passed me by first time.

Yep. You must have skipped Witch Hunt. She's halfway between pawn and human, on her way to becoming a full-fledged human in the image of her master.

Question: I'm right in assuming Adaro's clothes aren't available for purchase, correct?

I don't remember seeing them in my inventory, and I think I bought everything. Since the wiki doesn't mention what he's wearing, I'm guessing it's unique to him.

Yup....I believe Adaro's outfit is unique to him.

I still have pics to send you, but I am getting ready to head out of town tomorrow. Will be gone till the 12th.

I will have my work laptop with me, so when I get a chance, I'll post some snapshots. ;)

So I switched Seel to Mitigator/Challenger. So far he attacks the goblins / smaller saurians / hellhounds / sirens / etc. first. He ALSO keeps out of the way of enemies a lot better than before (when he was Scather/Challenger). And after a couple hours of playing, I notice that he is the only one with a FULL bar of health still.

So for the lower ranked folks like me, this is a great inclination set-up for a sorcerer/ranger pawn 8D

EDIT: Seel, your aim's a little off here:

He's too distracted by how pretty the ice looks as it shoots out of his fingers. :pinched:

I missed that one first time, so I am trying to complete the quests I missed. Maybe that's why she stays in people's houses after that quest (her inclination or something)!

Anyway, it's a shame that Adaro clothes aren't available. I could just see Shinon and Chase in that get up!

And MMG that's interesting about Seel. I do have some mitigator potions (will try).

Thanks! Even if they're people I've already used, don't hesitate to post, some will pop back up later, and I'd rather not use the same shot as before.

Adaro, Quina, Mercedes, Ser Jerrome (a bit of continuity with Material Witness) and Madeleine are the next instalment, and it's a lot bigger than the last one. They're less "interviews" and more "obstacles." Poor Shinon just wants to get to Gran Soren, his master must have taken all the ferrystones.

Still a few things I have to do, and I have to actually play the game to get a shot using a Shinon-Arisen, so it might be up late tonight, depending on when I can get around to playing.

Awesome, good luck ^_^ And don't let the above image fool you; the fight was actually pretty easy AND it's the only time I've been able to engage those two condemened gorecyclopes. In the past, I was too overrun with the "small" baddies, but this time, Seel took out all the small guys so by the time the cyclopes broke free, we could focus on just them.

Took forever though, 30-40 minutes... and used up sooo many curatives. These fights wouldn't be possible without masterful kill, methinks. Although... my MA Arisen could probably also handle them.

Later that night I fought a thunderwyvern and a firedrake at the same time :crying: That took an hour... and almost all my curatives. And... as soon as the fight ended, a cursed dragon appeared. You have GOT to be kidding me. I was so close to encountering Awakend Daiman for the first time, but at that point I couldn't handle it anymore. I liftestone'd back to BBI.

Fun fact: Reynard's English voice actor played Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler and Jack the Ripper in a game called Operation Darkness.

Sounds about right.

I actually had to look up who it was as I was thinking his voice reminded me an awful lot of the Adoring Fan (and all of the other male Altmer) from TES:Oblivion. It's not him, but it's pretty darn close.

Edit: wait, adoring fan was a bosmer. did... did one guy voice ALL the male elves? I think the dunmer had the same voice too.

Rohan: Seel, there's something you're supposed to be doing right now. Do you know what it is?
Seel: No, Master!
Rohan: Something for you to pick up... Something by your feet...
Seel: By my feet... the floor, Master?
Rohan: Oh Christ, never mind. I'LL pick up the loot as usual...
