Wandering poorly dressed pawns make me really sad for some reason...

Posted Image

:crying: Seel can't even look at him, poor thing. And Val... evidently couldn't even stand to be in the picture with him.

Yeah...Shinon..who died mysteriously. No seriously, I have no idea where or how he died. He was just freaking gone. When I went back to get him...he was wearing this hat. LMAO

Um, I have to say, Grigori was rather...easy to kill. WTH? My level is only in the 60's. The hardest part was not falling off the edges of the bridge. Which I did...often. Grrr. :)

Who did you have with you? Any of the higher level pawns? But yeah he's pretty easy... especially after you've played around in BBI for awhile :)

I find when I'm feeling confidant I'll take my fellow lower level pawns into battle with me. But then when I get my ass handed to me and I have to fly all the way back to Olra with tears in my eyes, I immediately run into the Rift and grab Briana and Shinon. They are just a comfort to me lol Briana was already infinity when I joined this thread and Shinon reached it soon afterward.

Shinon: Hello again, and welcome to part 2 of GNN's multi-part special on Bitterblack Isle. Last time we got absolutely nowhere because everyone's an idiot. Tonight, we're heading out for Gran Soren and saying goodbye to these clueless yokels.

Voice: Oh, wait! Sir!

Adaro: It's Quina, sir. She's gone missing.

Shinon: And...?

Adaro: She's your master's best friend! Surely you'd -

Shinon: I think you underestimate my complete and utter apathy towards anything that isn't me.

Adaro: I'm telling Alynna what you just said.

Shinon: *sigh*

Posted Image

Shinon: When did you see her last?

Adaro: About half an hour ago, she said something about going to see a witch!

Shinon: Did you check Master's house? There's one there.

Adaro: ...what?

Shinon: Ugh, see? She's right over there!

Posted Image

Adaro: ...Why is there a witch in your master's house?

Shinon: I don't know, and I really don't have the time to  -

Quina: Good day, cos!

Shinon:....look. Just say "Mister." "Sir." "You there." Something like that.

Quina: Does "cos" offend you, cos? Here in Cassardis, everyone is family. Human, pawn, whatever you are, you are welcome. Do you not have family of your own, cos?

Shinon: Your "cos" Alynna assembled me from a catalogue of body parts. Face 1, Eyes 4, torso 10, ab slider...average? I'm average? WHAT THE HELL -

Quina: Oh, you're the one asking about Bitterblack Isle!

Shinon: Huh? Oh, right! You know of it?

Quina: Only that it is a cursed and dangerous place. Many of our fishermen have ventured out there and not returned.  The few that have returned refuse to speak of it. You may wish to speak with their pawn guides, I think they gather in Gran Soren.

Shinon: That's what I was trying to do until your chief threatened me. Tell him to put a shirt on, nobody wants to look at old man pecs.

Quina: *gasp* how dare you insult our chief! He is a wonderful man! He's like a father to me! Or.. is he my father...? I don't remember...

Shinon: well, this is getting weird. I'm off.

Shinon: Here we are again, on the road to -

Shinon: .... on the road to Gran Soren, and the Pawn Guild. We'll definitely get some answers there, then we can decide whether or not it would be wise to visit the Isle ourselves.

Voice: Hold!

Shinon: Oh, lovely. what is it now?

Mercedes: Non, we 'ave a gift for ze duke, ze decpitated 'ead of an 'ydra. 'E is sure to love eet. We are delivering eet by oxcart, but ze ox, it is.. 'ow you say... slow and stupeed.

Shinon: Ever hear of horses? Or hell, a ferrystone? Look, I'm busy, I'm trying to do an investigative report on Bitterblack Isle. If you don't know anything about it, I'll be on my way.

Mercedes: L'Isle Amernoir? Zey say 'undreds of men and women died zere, and zey come back as undead, 'unting for ze souls of ze living.

Shinon: Really? That's interesting.

Mercedes: "Eenteresting?" You zink it's eenteresting zat so many 'ave died?

Shinon: I'm a pawn. An unfeeling son-of-a-drop-down-menu.

Mercedes: Ah. Where ees your master?

Shinon: I 'unno. Last I heard she was going to a costume party that i wasn't invited to because I'm an abomination.

Mercedes: *seems to have trouble understanding the word* Ab-bombin'...?

Shinon: ...I'll take it.

*several hours later*

Shinon: We've run into a little snag at the mountain waycastle. I guess the guardsman on duty is rip-roaring drunk and not letting anyone through. Oh, wonderful... that looks like...

Jerrome: Hoy! Ponytail! Where's 'Lynna?

Shinon: I don't know. Oh, I mean, she's gone deep-sea diving with her new man-friend. That isn't afraid of water. And doesn't reek of cloudwine.

Jerrome: Pah! That little twerp with the hair? I could take 'im.

Shinon: So... drunk on the job, huh? Things must be going great for you.

Jerrome: Whass wit all the people n' cameras behind you? You doin' some sort of documa-mentary?

Shinon: Yes, on the effects of the "drenched" status on humans. I have a few flasks of water on me, if you don't mind, you could -

Shinon: if you don't open the gate and start letting people through, I'll  -

Jerrome: Fine, FINE. Tell your master I hope the brine takes her.

Shinon: The brine took her yesterday, actually. DIdn't want her, spit her back out.

Jerrome: Hah! You're alright, Ponytail.

Shinon: No, I'm serious. It was terrifying. We thought we'd lost her.

Jerrome: Serves her right, the bit--

Madeleine: My, my... you're a tall drink of harspud milk, aren't you?

Shinon: I have no idea what that means, and I'm scared.

Madeleine: Oh, don't be scared of little ol'me... you had questions, love?

Shinon: Yes. Bitterblack Isle. Have you been there?

Madeleine: Oh, my, yes. That trollop is trying to drive me out of business!

Shinon: "Trollop?"

Madeleine: That Olra lady! She sells sexy clothing like I do, only she deals in rift crystals. Everyone's got piles of them and nothing to use them for, so they go to her!

Shinon: There's a woman on a cursed island selling lingerie. right.

Madeleine: Well, not quite "selling." People bring her the materials, she makes the clothes herself.

Shinon: On a cursed island. Where hundreds of people have died. Lingerie.

Madeleine: More like... skimpy armor. And the whole dangerous island thing...it entices people.  Dangerous is sexy, right? Speaking of, how good are you with that bow of yours? I'm guessing pretty good, as you already shot me in the heart without me even noticing.

Shinon: My eyes can't roll enough to convey how i feel at this moment.

Madeleine: Oh, never mind... *looks Shinon up and down* say, would you like to make some coin?

Shinon: I'm just gonna stop you right there and say -

Madeleine: you've got the right body type to be the spokesmodel for my new men's clothing line. I had planned on using Rook, but... he's just not... right for it. *she hands Shinon a leaflet*
Posted Image

Shinon: Oh... um...I... didn't need to see that.

Madeleine: See? You would look fantastic in these clothes!

Shinon: Probably, but this rockin' body isn't for sale.

Madeleine: Aren't you a pawn? Aren't your kind rented by thousands of people every day?

Shinon: Aren't you?

Madeleine: UNCALLED FOR! You are GROSSLY mistaken, sir. I am a MERCHANT, and a DAMN GOOD ONE at that.

Shinon: and you're being outperformed by a woman on an out-of-the-way island that is supposedly inhabited by giant wolves.

Madeleine: Yeah, well... you....

Shinon: My eyes are up here.

Madeleine: SHUT UP!

Shinon: Nice save.

Madeleine: Enough! I have places to be!

Shinon: UP HERE. Didn't your creator tell you it's rude to stare?

*Madeleine storms off in a huff*

Posted Image
Shinon: well, I guess that's all the time we have. And what have we learned so far? BBI has giant wolves, a lot of dead people and a seamstress that makes naughty clothing.

...and Rook? What the hell, dude?

also be that BBI literally kicks my rear. I think after a run through of

 ROOK. WHY.  :o:o:o

omg You let Valmiro die :crying:

Shinon claims to be apathetic about anything not about him, but he sure reacted poorly to drunk soldier dissing his master :P

I have to ask, does Shinon add the captions under the names? Does that mean Shinon has toga envy?

Mercedes accent  She is so dignified in Japanese. I did hear her in English. I was like... wtf... why is she French? I don't understand. (Also, why is Valmiro Italian... why? WHY?)

Madeleine versus Olra... why do I think Olra isn't even remotely aware of this rivalry. So true about the rift crystals though. Who pauses before purifying / lighting / whatever to see how much it will "cost"? Oh, 500 rift crystals, wow, hope I can recover from that

One thing I'd like to see is Shinon interviewing his master. I wonder if he'll fawn over her :P Or fuss at her for going out on dates with strange soldiers or attending parties he isn't invited to.

My favorite part this time: Ab slider.... average.

:P:P:P Poor Shinon!

What is this about Briana's violent past?  I was not aware of this. Now her calmness seems more scary than wise

You can "kill" Death... I think. I mean he will respawn eventually. Super awesome players like Shep and Carcharoth can kill him. I run like hell. Once he appeared, and I ran the 10 feet or so to the nearest door and hit "B." In that small amout of time... less than a second... Chase and Shinon were both scythed.

I HATE Death. I will never not run from him.

There was a time when Briana had no possession resistance. Anyone who hired her and fought dragons ran the risk of her turning on them. She was level 200, they were not. It did not end well. Naturally, I assumed they said something to her and she reacted poorly. By coincidence an innocent dragon happened to be nearby at the time and was blamed for her behavior.

You should look at her eyes. She has crazy eyes. I should know. I made them and she murdered me for it. Under that calm veneer, her mind is a bag full of cats. Pray that cloak never falls off of her. It is your only salvation.

I have him back later. Thanks to DD's crazy world, death isn't final.

Shinon claims to be apathetic about anything not about him, but he sure reacted poorly to drunk soldier dissing his master :P

He also caved when Adaro threatened to tell on him. The Arisen/Pawn bond is something even Shinon can't ignore, despite how much he probably wants to. She's the reason he exists. Well, her and the camera.

I have to ask, does Shinon add the captions under the names? Does that mean Shinon has toga envy?

Yes and yes.

Madeleine versus Olra... why do I think Olra isn't even remotely aware of this rivalry.

Olra isn't even remotely aware of anything. She's quite... spaced out.

One thing I'd like to see is Shinon interviewing his master.

She was originally the one behind the camera until I realized it couldn't work.  She'll be part of the crew in BBI, at the very least. My only problem is that her appearance will change drastically from shot to shot. I realize Shinon's wardrobe is doing the same thing, but that's Shinon for you.

IMDB disagrees with you.

*rolls eyes*

Oblivion was actually much, much worse. But in a game that can take 300+ hours to complete (and that's just the vanilla Skyrim game), it would be nearly impossible to cover every voice acting base. Not to mention expensive.

'Sexy Evil Kingslayer dude' is Ulfric Stormcloak, voiced by Vladimir Kulich. Posted Image He was also on the History Channel series "Vikings" - it was pretty surreal to actually see and hear him speak.

Wow, I didn't even see this post. Skyrim actually had several voice actors per gender per race (except maybe Khajiit and Argonian?), which is a massive step up from dunmer/bosmer/altmer = one guy. (which is accurate, I checked.)

It also had Jim Cummings as Festus Krex, who I will lurve forever and ever.

Dammit, I will not be pulled back into Skyrim! It crashed so many times it was almost becoming a chore to play near the end, I must remember that!

The real chore is cleaning up after everything you kill, and keeping your miscellaneous quests to a minimum so you can keep playing after 300+ hours. I'm just happy the ash piles disappear now. And Fallout:NV is still worse as far as crashing is concerned.

Briana is on medication. She's cool... for now. Don't mind her staring at your neck. She's short (compared to everyone else) and can't help it. Still Team Mom... with a side of unstoppable killing machine.

^ I love cleaning up after kills. But then, I'm the annoying kind of Alchemist Dragonborn that pick-pick-picks every single Mora Tapinella, Imp Stool and Canis Root (along with everything else), as there is always a special potion or poison I need it for.

And I keep meaning to see the Thirteenth Warrior. My hubs mentioned that he was in it a while back, but I forgot all about it.

Yep, Skyrim :D I bought it last Christmas break and played it nonstop for about three months lol Then I sort of... stopped. I have the most adorable bosmer named Tamlen (very original, yes I know). He's an sneaky archer type.

I married what's his name... Vilkas? And it was disappointing to hear my "husband's" voice coming out of every other NPC lol Same with his brother... and the whole crew, really.

For non-important NPCs like that they really did reuse the voices. Like a lot, a lot. I thought people joked about this ^_^ Not like I don't love the game... I've got well over 100 hours plugged into the thing!
