I have...*ahem* a bit more than 100 hours invested. Here are some of my characters (they're not all in here yet, but I'm up to #19 right now).

I have well over 1200 hours sunk into that game, as of the last time I looked. Posted Image I'm actually a little scared to know what I'm up to now. If you were ever wondering what my sig means, it was in reference to Skyrim. Hehe.

:o ....I don't think I've ever spent that much time on a game. I wonder if I've played DA2 that much?? I have probably made at least 10-15 different Hawke's (thought not all are saved). So I know what it's like to be obsessed about a game and the character creator.

Although I don't think I've ever obsessed about a game the way I do DD. I literally think about it all day. I'm at work now, and as I was walking back to my office I was thinking about this new technique I developed to fight thunderwyvens. If only my students knew what thoughts are running through my head as I'm teaching!

EDIT: Home on my lunch break, and guess what I'm doing

So I've reached that point where I'm basically just dragonforging all the things. :innocent: I tell myself it's so I can have nice gifts to give any new people

...so, Caxton. I'm trying not to overuse "that line", but I can't see a way around it. It's hard to find that sweet spot, just before it starts to get annoying. He doesn't have that much of a personality, does he? I may have to invent one for him. His assistant, though... she's a little creepy.

Sorry to those who end gamed with me, I'll get your pawn and send you a little something. I always feel bad when I don't get to send back a gift.

Also...Briana is being really nice. Should I be worried?

That's really exactly how I imagined Shinon would sleep :D

I think with Briana we should all just be glad she has 100% possession resistance  I think most of the awesome level pawns do. I kind of like the dragon to grab them and hold them for a bit, as it gives me a clear shot to his heart LOL

Yaaaay Look who's back :wizard:

He's not sleeping. He's waiting. Still adorable.

Only if you have a fear of pink sweaters with chimeras on them. She insists on sending people she likes the hide of an infernal creature. Various dead dragons are usually involved but I think she took up knitting while I was away.

'Sexy Evil Kingslayer dude' is Ulfric Stormcloak, voiced by Vladimir Kulich. Posted Image He was also on the History Channel series "Vikings" - it was pretty surreal to actually see and hear him speak.

Hello :o!  Well that brightened up my breakfast!  Shame he doesn't do Belrand's voice. I checked him out and ...well he's no Vladimir Kulich.

And your Khajiit (first pic) is very cute and you called your Argonian 'Eats-many-babies'! That's quite a collection, I didn't even  realise you could upload photos onto BSN in that way.

@Shepenwepet - Shinon's report  He's such a natural in front of a camera. The Mercedes part was just classic.  The accent reminds me of an 80s British sitcom called Allo Allo - www.youtube.com/watch
And it's nice to see a pic of David Morrissey in the thread - Posted Image

And yay, nice to see Arya back!

Thanks! Posted Image I need to add some new pics of the character I'm playing now, which is a male Khajiit. I realized when I visited the college in Winterhold that he looks like a J'zargo doppleganger. It was completely unintentional, but kind of cool nonetheless. I have some others that aren't in the album at all, that I need to add, too.

Yeah, I have to use a very low-tech method for getting Skyrim pics into my albums...snap a photo of the tv with a digital camera, then import it to my pc, then crop and resize, then upload here.

The Dragon's Dogma method is much, much easier, and the quality is way better. And much more addictive, as @Shep can attest. Posted Image

But do you notice that it always looks better on the TV than it does on the computer? Or is that my crappy laptop?? I just notice it's fuzzier and darker when I upload it to FB, while on my TV is so bright and vibrant and clear. Like I tried for 15-20 minutes to get a good shot of Arya and thought I finally had one, but when I uploaded it, as you can see, it's still pretty dark and fuzzy :?

You know, I've noticed that myself. It's always brighter on the tv. Then when I upload the photos and post them, I'm like 'meh'.

I'd like to know why @Shep's are always so clear. What is her secret?

@moto - That Arya shot looks fine to me. If you'd taken the shot closer to the fire near Olra, you'd get better lighting, but I don't notice any fuzziness. When you grab the photos from FB, do you take them from the photo viewer, when they take up most of the screen? That's what I do, and they seem to resize well without looking fuzzy. ...wait, you're saying they look fuzzy as soon as you look at them on FB. I can't say I notice that myself.

Elite Lantern + Radiance, even in daylight. Especially in daylight, actually, because normally you'd put your lantern away. You'd think it wouldn't make a difference, but it does, and it's huge.

Getting close up shots of pawns/whatever that are also well lit requires a light source that isn't your lantern, and your pawn/whatever has to be facing that light source. Smaller rooms also help, as do obstacles like rocks, the camera will stick to them and move in close.

Hugging/facing the wall in a room can almost guarantee a close up of your arisen, because the camera doesn''t have anywhere to go.

I'll take a few shots to demonstrate my "techniques", as sometimes it's just easier to understand when you see it.

I was already doing most of that stuff, with the exception of using Radiance...well, and the lantern during the day. I'll have to give those a shot!

Here's another thing I forgot to mention: if you want a close up of your arisen, make sure s/he's not facing the camera when you pause. Either have them facing away or the side.

Here's the difference:
Facing the camera pre-pause:
Posted Image

Exact same spot, just turned away from camera:

Running away from the camera can result in an even closer shot:

And here's the set up of a close-up Shinon:

Rotated and zoomed:

Edit: daylight, no lantern:

Thanks for the tips. I need to try those techniques as my snaps always come out a bit crap! I do have radiance but never used it. I wish you could take more snaps of other Xbox games. That's one advantage of playing games on the PC (as well as mods).

And in Skyrim, why can't you romance a Khajiit?

Wow, thanks Shep!! 8D I wish I weren't post-game... that lantern-daylight versus non-lantern-daylight contrast is stark! It really does make a difference.

Also good tip on snapping shots of the Arisen. Facing away, got it. I usually do the "face a wall" trick. I wish I could tell Arya to go face a wall....

Wow I didn't realize you couldn't :o

I thought about making a kahjiit but I really need to finish my bosmer playthrough. I did make a nord male and an altmer female but didn't get very far. I think I need to, for some reason, finish this first guy first.

To anyone in post-game, or at least not right when you first hit Gran Soren, when you talk to Caxton, what does he say? All I can hear in my head is "Iron and stee- THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN"T GO WRONG."

It's that first sentence I want to know. Something to do with iron and steel.

Post-game is fine, my save was just as I got to Gran Soren, and he said something completely different, something about how he does his job for the love of it or something.

Edit: you may have to talk to him twice, he might have a huge spiel about the dragon or the everfall or whatever, most people do.

Okay, this may take awhile lol I changed it to English voices so I'd get the exact wording. But I decided to go into CC and hear what Arya's English voice sounds like, and....

OMG  I apologize to everyone for having to have put up with that for so long. I swear, her Japanese voice is awesome!!!

I picked a new voice for her, but discovered that's also Gab's voice. So trying to find her a new voice that isn't awful.

Then I'll head to Gran Soren.

EDIT: Gab's English voice sounds the most like Arya's Japanese voice. (Gabs in ******. is very high-pitched, sweet, but mature.) Stinks that there aren't many good choices for female voices!! I'm afraid Arya might become a voice copy-cat >.>

Caxton: Me, I’ve no love of magick and its kind. Iron and steel, honed to an edge. That’s all a man really needs. They’re masterworks all. You can’t go wrong.

Wow, this is surprisingly...fitting, considering what I made his assistant into. (a giant ball of crazy.). Many thanks!

Welcome :D

Death showed up just now to remind me that it's 1am and I should be in bed.... Sigh.

So today I was listening to this Coldplay song, "Death and all his Friends" and it reminded me of our Arisens and pawns and their adventures on BBI:

No, I don't want to battle from beginning to end
I don't want to cycle or recycle revenge
I don't want to follow Death and all of his friends
(repeat)

And in the end
We lie awake and we dream of making our escape
(repeat)

Well, weirdly enough, after spending about 30 minutes playing with the voice options, I've left Arya at Voice #5.

I believe Voices #1 (Briana) and #4 (Gabs) are the only original voices. All the others are tweaked.

Of those remaining seven, only #6 (Val) and #5 (Arya) don't sound dreadfully auto-tuned. There is a slight auto-tune sound there, but it's not overpowering.

And since Voice #5 is so lovely, thoughtful, and elegant in Japanese, I'll just stick with it (since it's not too bad in English... not too much of an insult to your ears :P)

This has likely been way more insight into my obsessive tendencies than any of you cared to hear about....

And I also apologize for the rapid renting and unrenting of your pawns. I was comparing their voices to Arya's. But hey at least everyone got several five stars :)

Killed a cursed dragon! :wizard: .... It dropped no cursed items. Forged nothing. =]

Okay that's three in a row of just me :D I'll hush for now.
