Yeah, I definitely see the resemblance, myself, between Caleb and Rooney. And sexy, bandaged arisens' for the win. hehe.

And it look like you can do a lot more with the character creation since I last played. I haven't played dark arisen yet, but I think I'll get it this weekend and check out the new gear and stuff. I hadn't even gotten to the Everfall last time I played. I got to that point in the story where Aelinore starts coming onto the arisen (when Caleb was trying to get in good with Mercedes) and was just kinda thrown for a loop with that storyline.

Then I sold DD because I planned to get Dark Arisen, and then never bought the new edition of the game.

 She is super BAMF in that pic!!! I miss my shy warrior  Oh and to be fair she is technically my main pawn and Seel is my alt.  Seel gets played more because his Arisen takes longer to level up... not Arya's fault her own little Arisen is such a BAMF. On easy mode of course.

So that's Rohan, Seel's Arisen. This is his usual look. Only thing that ever changes nowadays is what he does with his hair. He's a serious chap, about 19 years old, very polite, takes this whole "save the world" thing very seriously. Might be first cousins with his boyfriend, but details, details.


And this is Dai, Arya's Arisen. My first Arisen. He is also very serious, but kind of a little jerk who throws people off cliffs and into the brine when they annoy him (so, a lot of people). He has cute freckles but not the cutest face. He kind of looks 15ish to me... which is kind of disturbing since he's shacking up with a grown arse man, so we'll say he has a baby face.

I'm also going to steal back Dark Arisen at the first opportunity. You have no idea how much I miss that thing.

So I got Dark Arisen for free with ps+. I played it way back when on the 360 and was wondering if its worth going through the game again. I enjoyed my time with it on the 360 even though the running around was a bit tedious.

I think they cut the price of ferrystones by half or more. There are also more portcrystals sitting around for you to collect, so travel has become a lot less costly. The tedium is still there, but it's been cut down.

I'd say it's worth it.

And, just seconds after shouting "the head is vulnerable", Shinon shot it in the bum.


And half the time he was shooting through his own arm.

Oh my, poor Shinon! Looks like someone's a little out of practice  I shall have to take him out for a spin... I've been neglecting him so as to not mess up any potential GNN shots, but then I never actually took any real shots... lol

You played what? Dragon's Dogma original on the 360 or Dark Arisen? If the former then obviously you should go through Dark Arisen. It's new content and feels like an entirely new game. Rather than being open world on Bitterblack Isle, it's a dungeon crawler with short-cuts you can unlock like in Dark Souls making getting about on the island a lot easier.

If you have played the new content then I'd still recommend going through the game again. This time as a new vocation (I sugget Mystic Knight because it's the best) and on the hard difficulty starting from Lv 1 for a completely new experience and one that rivals/surpasses Dark Souls in terms of challange.

I hopped onto DD last night thinking I was going to be spending a few hours trying to get a shot I needed - I wasn't even sure if it was going to be possible, due to pawns constantly wandering about. Without giving away too much, I needed Seel and Shinon to be pretty close and facing each other, which sounds easy but it really isn't. You have to keep picking them up and putting them down, and to get them facing each other you have to stand between them, so there's always that empty space when you hide your arisen.

I didn't get it as close as I wanted, but I got it. Then I left Seel and Shinon to their own devices and got this.


You've always gotta keep an eye on Seel.

Great screenshots as always. But at first I had to ask 'who is that pawn in the hood?' I didn't realise it was Chase, he looks so demure and understated! That's what I love about the pawns, always changing their style.

I know; I saw him in someone else's screenshot earlier and wondered the same thing, lol! Isn't he adorable in that hat, though? Chase is one of those lovely pawns who looks good in anything. He has, like, the most perfect cheek bones. I still wonder how Seel's face got to be so round and boyish. Well, it suits him now, but I'm envious of Chase's chiseled loveliness! LOL

Btw, if you've not played in awhile... a long time ago I gifted Thomas the tattered mantle; it's got great stats once it's DFed, but until then it actually takes stats down a bit. I feel really bad because he's still wearing it, and it's unDFed, so his stats are down. Might want to fire up the game just long enough to replace his dragon knight's cloak! Sorry, Thomas!

Oh, and guess who I saw logging on to xbox live AND DD:DA the other night? okenah! (sp?)  I bet Woolie missed his master

Damn I miss those little robotic lovelies. I'm just teasing.....I think they all have quite a bit of personality...even if it is just an off-shoot of our own personalities, or something....lol!

I have a soft spot for that cap, that Chase is wearing. Both Ulee and him fight over it. I do need to change his outfit though. Between work, family, holiday, anniversary, and the mod, I just haven't gotten a chance to really play. However, with the exception of two planned outings, I intend to do whatever I damn well please, this weekend. So I think a little game time is called for.
