I remember seeing that if you lost or gifted the ring you could repurchase it from the Black Cat, maybe check there. But since it doesn't recognize you picked it up in the first place, yeah, I dunno.
If I was on PSN I could gift you a Wyrmking's Ring, if you know someone that can, see if that fixes things.

Maybe switch to a different quest, if you haven't done Pride Before a Fall, do that, then go back to Wyrmking's Ring.
Save corruption without warning is a fairly common thing in DD, but quests being bugged? I think this is the first time I've heard of something like this happening. And looking online, the only thing I can see similar is someone being arrested the second they try to hand the ring to Aldous, then the ring disappears and the quest doesn't complete.

I'm going to open up a walkthrough and gets as many quest as I can do in the opening parts of the game, possibly all of them.
If I'm going to redo this, it's going to be better.
Interesting to note, I'm starting to think that the Pawns do have something other than loyalty: Curiosity.
I used a ferrystone, and hilariously enough, they question how the ferrystone even works. Their questioning game mechanics.
Also, any PS3 Dragons Dogma owners on this forum.. could I use your pawn?, I'm sorry but I really just want to get back to where I started, perhaps with a higher level. This situation is really making me annoyed.

I should have a free Wyrmking's Ring and can gift you one.
The bad news: I can't get online till Saturday or Sunday next week.
So, if you can wait.......

Hahahahaah... my luck is horrible.
But pleasure to meet you Big Boss.
Though, I have to admit, I'm doing better in my restarted game then I ever did in my first one. But still, I hate my luck.
At this point though, all I want is a pawn that can help marathon my way back to my original spot in the game quickly.
-------------------------
Time to talk about my restarted game.
When I made my new character, I decided to darken the skin a bit because I wanted the character to fit in with the majority of Cassridis. I actually want to feel immersed, you know.
Then I tried to complete as many quest as possible in the area.
Then I went to make my pawn, heck I even got a backstory for why she has scars on her face. (Very short bio coming soon.)
I made a realization just before choosing my pawn's vocation. I constantly made my pawn female and beautiful.. .well because of the obvious. But both warrior and mage options gave good defense but not so much in the.. sight-seeing department. (Mock me I know.)
So this time I tried Strider, since their armor is far less than the others... and damn.
fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/1503399_486100154840941_1755131932_n.jpg
I decided to put her hair in a ponytail because I wanted to give a sense of pragmatism without choosing a short hair style. But once Artemis got some gear at Cassardis, boom, beauty. But the best part is that it hasn't messed up her defenses.
So yeah, a note sad, pathetic, and lonely gamers, Strider is the way to go for visual appeal, male and female. Visual appeal without sacrificing defenses.

On Gransys it's all wolves (no exceptions, they're all annoying as they run about all the time), Hell Hounds and Harpies.

Hellhounds. Those bastarts! I get to greedy and get in close to try and do a quick melee on their arses, and generally I can do just that. However, there is never just ONE Hellhound. So, it isn't uncommon for them to knock me over with a fireball, then grab my ankle and drag me off. Bastarts! LOL!
@Apophis - I promised another PSN user that I would start up my old copy of DD on the PS3, and let him/her use my pawn. But I still haven't gone and bought a replacement Ethernet cable (yup...I have one of the original PS3...no wifi). I don't have Dark Arisen for the PS3 (only for the Xbox), but you could still rent my pawn for free...just can't gift her anything. She is over lvl 100, just don't remember the exact level. As soon as I get the Ethernet cable, I will post. Hell, I don't even remember my damn gamertag, it has been so long since I have been on PSN. XD

There was a "rare quest" available called "Defeat a Griffins" (Yes, a griffins.) in which the possible rewards are a bunch of dead fish or Barnaby. I'll screencap my abode once I no doubt receive my dead fish.
Edit: Wooooohoooooooo!
And Report #7 is chugging along well. For a side project, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like Seel's (or Arya's) and Chase's facial sliders/numbers. Actually, anyone's.

I just joined the Capcom Pawn Community, I wanted to mess around with that Arisen's Abode thing to see how it worked. So far all I have in my house is Rook, a carrot and a well. I put the carrot there, they give you a bit of furniture and stuff to start, but Rook and the well are there by default.

It's just a place to upload pictures and find new pawns. I don't plan on actually uploading anything, I just wanted to check out Arisen's Abode. (And you have to upload pics manually, I checked before signing up.)
I just need the face set-up, not the rest. I'm sure I could piece it together from my many screenshots if you don't have the time.

Artemis in her new armor. I'm trying to keep her looking nice, without her defenses being to weak for a Strider.
Also, that The Fool has he's called, seems very... cryptic, but not very foolish.

It's because the world is small. And that makes it great.
Think about, how much nothing usually happens in Skyrim. The area's aren't well defined, aren't really different from the other, and there's too much talking, ergo fast travel is used commonly, ruin the exploration aspect.
But Dragon's Dogma, due to being smaller than those RPG's, is able to accurately define an area. You can tell where you are, like the plains of Gransys, the ocean beaches near Cassardis, and the Woods of the Witchwood.
By limiting fast travel, they make you explore the area. Do you stay on the path.. or explore?
And because of this, exploration feels a bit more fun, because not only does it cut down fast travel, but it makes it infinitely more rewarding than a game like Skyrim, because exploring the area is important, because the area is unqiue.
The barren, windy area before the Bluemoon Tower.
The very dense, and dangerous Witchwood.
The open, expansive plains of Gransys.
I can remember these areas because each are unique in it's own right. It's why RPG's that aren't open-world can have more unique areas, because they are bit smaller.
So yeah, I finally cracked that chesnut..
While I haven't finished the story yet, for Dragon's Dogma 2, would you like to see a different country of this world?
For me, I would like to see the past of Gransys, in the days of the Earth God religon and what happened to erase those days. Maybe instead of an Arisen.
Also, my evil sisters decided to try to spoil me with the Digital Comic. Luckily it was only part one, but it was interesting to learn about the Arisen in the tutorial a bit. Question, does the Digital comic spoil anything major? Cause I actually want to watch a bit more.

And Rook has a friend now, I did a quest to collect 5 grandgrapes and was rewarded with... I think her name is Aestella?
The quests aren't really interactive. You pick one and all you can do is watch updates about you and Rook fighting or finding apples until it completes.
I'm at my brother's house right now, we just finished the fights we missed last night. (they air far too late here.) I kinda want to vomit.
edit: Oops, never saw your post, Apophis. I actually just saw those digital comic things yesterday when I went to download the japanese voice track. I didn't know they existed until then. I didn't get 'em.
As for DD2, I'd be happy with the same map, same everything, just expanded a bit. Maybe a new town or two.
I'd also be happy with a brand new setting. I just want a sequel...

New lore: The Faith. What's that? Probably a religion, but whatever it was, it didn't originate from Gransys.
Update: The Pawn make a this quote:
'I suspect that's why they bury the in the soil, to the return it to the Earth God.'
'So that their souls are reborn in the coming generations'
(So those who worshiped the Gods of nature believe in reicarnation?)
Sorry.. just, I like these little touches.
