@Shepen - This is giving me a Mystery Men vibe. Posted Image

@Apophis4321 - Thanks for taking the pics of Chase. Posted Image One problem with me renting your pawn; Artemis doesn't show up for me. Posted Image You are able to rent my pawn, but I can't rent yours. This has to do with the DD:DA thing. Since I don't have Dark Arisen, I can't "see" pawns that come from the expansion. I can only rent people that have the vanilla Dragon's Dogma. However, someone with Dark Arisen, can still rent my pawn, though they are limited to what they can gift (I actually thought they couldn't gift anything, truth be told). Nothing from BBI can be gifted to my pawn. I'm guessing this is why you have been able to gift some items to Chase, since they have been items found in the main vanilla game only.

I have considered getting Dark Arisen for the PS3, so if I do, I will be more than happy to rent Artemis, and give her loads of gifts. Sorry I am not much help right now though. Posted ImagePosted Image

Sigh. Ah well. Guess I got to grind in Bitterblack to get more cash.
Oh I know, can you make your pawn stronger by playing bit in the Ps3 verison? That would be enough for me rignt now cause Death scares me.

Has anyone else notice that Death bows right before he disappears? Checky little bugger, isn't he?

Arya: That's not how the microphones work, Master.
Dai: Are you sure?
Arya: ....Pretty sure.
Briana: *from behind* She should know! She stares at Shinon during his interviews.
Arya: What?!
Chase: Girl fight!!

And now...
Will she finally get what she previously could only dream of...??

Nah. He walked right past her

@Carcharoth - Wow, I totally set myself up for that, didn't I? Totally unintentional, I assure you.

Here's a question - the voices you hear upon entering BBI for the first time, is that what is inscribed onto the monument? I don't remember what the voices say, aside from Grette's account, which is one of the monument pages, that you actually hear in the Sparyard. Elton John posted a video a while back called "Font of endless diversion", which was a crazy person swinging on a corpse in Midnight Helix as you hear one of the voices. I'm almost 100% positive that one doesn't show up on the monument, so I'm guessing the rest don't either? Is the monument solely Arthacos' and Grette's group's stories?

If so, I'm going to have to do some digging on youtube.

@Apophis - I can play her some, sure. I just haven't been able to actually play much DD at all (except for going in and changing some vocations/armor), because of work and the MOD testing.

As soon as I get some spare time though, I'll look at leveling her up some. Who knows, maybe by that time I will have a shiny new copy of Dark Arisen for the PS3. Then I can rent Artemis. ;) In the meantime, I can still generally make time to load up the game for a quick vocation/armor change. Let me know if you would like her to be something else. I set her to Warrior earlier (and she has a really good weapon for NOT being a BBI weapon. lol!! What level are you at now?

**EDIT**

@Shepen - I always just assumed they were the disembodied voices of those dead Arisens we see littered all over the labyrinth. Maybe I'm wrong.....it happens....too often.

@motomoto - awwwwww......poor Arya! She just needs to pull a Grace Jones on his arse...where's that picture we have tossed up on occasion from Conan: The Destroyer. Posted Image

I just want to know what they say... I seem to remember a lot of "turn back before it's too late", but unless I restart, I won't hear them again. The wiki doesn't mention them , at least from what I found.

edit: never mind, found a youtube vid. :wizard:

I felt like turning the sky pretty again anyway. Might as well write down what the dead people say when I get back to BBI.

Around level 65. Trying to do some side quest in  Graynsys to quickly level up.

I've finally gone back to Dark Souls and it's become my favorite game again. Dragon's Dogma reign as my #1 game has ended. Or the dragon's reign has ended shall I say? Still, Dragon's Dogma, IMO, has the better character attachment for me just because of the armor customization. RPG's like Dragon Age make you feel attached to your character with their dialogue and choices. Dragon's Dogma does it with how you make your character look like effectively forming a personality for them plus the combat is, and always will be, ****ing amazing.

Though I'm sure I'll be back saying Dragon's Dogma is the better game. I feel as if these franchises, for me anyway, will be constantly competing. Never before have two games I've enjoyed provided me with this type of cognitive dissonance.

Maybe I should just call it a draw between the two? They have both provided me with an equal amount of hours for gameplay and an equal amount of fun.

Now I wonder how a Dragon's Dogma/Dark Souls crossover would work...

Edit:

I found this gem when I Googled that term...

I suppose the Chosen Undead could summon The Arisen into his world.

Though I suppose it might fit the Two Worlds protagonist too...

I was thinking of getting back into Dark Souls once I get a Beowulf Mask from the Ur-Dragon. Might buy the Artorias DLC too. We'll see. I've already got Dark souls 2 preordered.

@Shep Thank you soooo much for the lvl 3 cursed armor. I got my very first Coat of Oblivion! :o Eeeeee!

Now I have: 1 Carrion Mantle, 1 Coat of Oblivion, 1 Sinner's Gauntlets. Level 3 armor drops are a pain in the butt to get, aren't they? :pinched:

I'm pretty sure I will never complete the Trappings of Evil quest at the rate I'm going, and I still run away every time I see Death. If he would just be polite and wait until I finish kiling other enemies before he shows up, I'm pretty sure I could deal with him. But no! He has to come and visit when I've got 5 other things to kill first. <_<

I really need to remember to take Quintin's lantern away too...

Okay, off to visit a few more dragons and get something else forged. :wizard:

Hey guys. I got a question for you.

Is Olra a Pawn or an Arisen?

Why do I ask? Cause only Arisen's can ever find Bitterblack from what the Pawns say, and only the pawns can follow the Arisen.

Also will we have to face a Dark Arisen at some point? You know, the name of the DLC. It's just too much of a tease, you know?

There's no battle too fierce for Handyman Chase. Here he is taking on a drake, a wyrm and a wyvern in the Rotunda of Dread while the rest of his team wait a safe distance away like cowards.
Posted Image

@Bekkael - you can kill Death cheaply in the Fortress of Remembrance by stunning him (perhaps with blast arrows) when he's got nothing to fall onto. He'll fall into the abyss, and you'll get the XP, but you won't get the drops.

I don't advise killing him cheaply when you're on your third kill, he tends to drop three bone lanterns. (he's done it twice for me, both third kills, although it could still be a giant coincidence)
