What is Shinon doing? It looks like he's adjusting Arya's headgear lol
He's doing the post-fight celebration that I call "working out a burp." But he's actually messing with her dreads.
I picked up three (!) bestial eyes in one of those fiend-luring incense rooms. And I'm post-daimon, I thought those puppies only dropped pre-daimon.
Page 200, folks! Picture spam time! Again!

You think maybe there's a maneater in this chest?
They call this the "Tower of Awesome."

Ran into Quintin and Woolie on one of my many, many reloads in the pawn guild. (If you're trying to recreate NPCs and you're happy with the results, DON'T go and compare them with the genuine article. DON'T.)

Quintin is so big that his gambeson is actually poking through his coat.
I tried to get a shot with everyone in it, but Chase decided he'd had enough too.

Shinon thought the Angel's Fist looked tasty.

Sirens' voices heal their comrades, I think they sensed something similar within this fella, so they rightly ganged up on him.

Caretaker fight!

Quintin bet on "the one that looks like a deformed Eddie Vedder."
There, I'm off to work on report #7. It's pretty big already, and they're only right inside the frickin' doors.

OH RIGHT! lol
Shinon licking Chase's weapon (get your mind out of the gutter)... he's looking at the camera with this "Don't judge me" face. Same face I wear when I buy ice cream at the end of a long week...
And JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH I had no idea Sirens were so bloody terrifying close-up
Report #7 ... yessss...

Especially thanks to spoiling quote! Argh, reading forums sometimes makes me mad. At this point sadly, I'm going to spoil myself on the BBI lore, simply because I can't take not knowing.
But what I know for now is that there is some Arisen named Ashe, who's the villian of BBI. And he makes a quote saying that the Cycle is an illusion.
Give me a second too lore dump my head- there we go! All spoiled.
Now, this is interesting, but instead of getting into the multiversal aspect of it, if you think about it, this means the Arisen knew about the Cycle before it was revealed, plot wise. So does the Arisen know about the Dragon's bargain? Does this explain why the Arisen kills themself, pulling a succesful Ashe?
And ironically enough, what Ashe says about creation being harder than destruction is true, because the final act of our Arisen is in fact life for a Pawn.
I still don't get how BBI works. Is it just some anomaly in the Cycle? Or does the awakened Daimon imply that BBI is a perversion of the Cycle, a constant cycle of destruction. Is the Cycle truly and illusion?
If so, what happens in sequel? Will the consequnces of breaking the cycle be shown?
Holy crud Dragons Dogma is confusing.

I honstly don't remember him saying that. I have what he says in battle etched into my brain forever, and there's nothing of the sort. "I have seen the scattering of countless myriad souls. They gather and flow to become as the river of time, expanding to fill the firmament. What a base and trifling creature is man. Yet at once he is the master of this empyreal flow, as grand as all the heavens. I bid you, hone your spirit, refine it. I await you in the crucible of souls."
It's possible he says something about the cycle outside of battle, I think when you first encounter him he might say something, but I always skip that cutscene now.
Now, this is interesting, but instead of getting into the multiversal aspect of it, if you think about it, this means the Arisen knew about the Cycle before it was revealed, plot wise.
If by "the Arisen" you mean Ashe because he apparently mentioned the cycle, no. BBI exists outside of time. He's seen it all.
Oh wait, I get you. You're talking about the monument of remembrance. Hang on, I'll find the quote.
"The Arisen, the Seneschal, the whole cursed world… All is but an illusion.
A meaningless refrain. A hollow echo… What sense is there in giving one’s life for these falsehoods?
I damn them all.
And I will not cease in my destruction until the last senseless cycle is broken, the last bond rent to dust.
Yeah, BBI does things to your mind, although that just might be Daimon/Ashe's hatred and anger influencing other Arisens. Ashe has gone mad, which was aided by his anger over Grette and Olra in the first place. He's trying to give purpose to what he's doing, but he's bonkers.
So does the Arisen know about the Dragon's bargain? Does this explain why the Arisen kills themself, pulling a succesful Ashe?
I'm not quite sure what you mean here. The arisen kills him/herself to try to end the cycle. Of course s/he knows about the dragon's bargain, having chosen to fight instead of offering a sacrifice.
I still don't get how BBI works. Is it just some anomaly in the Cycle? Or does the awakened Daimon imply that BBI is a perversion of the Cycle, a constant cycle of destruction. Is the Cycle truly and illusion?
It's implied that BBI exists outside of the cycle, or at least outside of time. Time never actually passes on BBI. You can sleep there for weeks and it's still the same day you left Gransys.
We create quests involving hang-gliding to the moon. It seriously wouldn't surprise me.what happens in sequel?
Holy crud Dragons Dogma is confusing.
Tell me about it.

Edit: motomoto, I didn't realize she didn't have a Revenant Wail! I'll toss you some level 3 weaps the next time I'm on.

Ooo thanks!
The other thing the game refuses to purify for me are the oblivion pants (forget the proper name). But cursed armor is much easier to come by, and I don't mind trying for those. Not having the long bow pretty much locks out a whole damn class for me, GRRRRR!

I meant that out main Arisen, due to traversing in BBI, would have learned about the Sensechal early wouldn't he/she?
Ahhhh. Lol, yep. Grette's Account spells it all out pretty clearly. Capcom assumes you'll be playing BBI after you've beaten the game.
And doesn't awakened Daimon say something too?
If you're referring to the post-fight Ashe scene, I've only seen it once, I've skipped it every time since then. And you only see it once per playthrough anyway, I think.
The quote I have is Awakened Daimon.

I wanted to thank....
I had a really strange/interesting game glitch yesterday. I was headed west from Gransys hoping to kill the dragon that hangs out over there. I saw the harpies on the path ahead of me, like usual, and I saw the dragon fly across as though he were going to land a little further up the hill. Great! So, I kill all the snow harpies, and 2 of my items got DRAGONFORGED.
@Shep Yeah, poor Quintin, I've been messing around with his look every time I play. I reduced the size of his arms again now and gave him back his blond ponytail dreads.

I ran all the way to Windbluff Tower and all around looking for him and got a failed ambush quest pop-up. Just bizarre all around. I assume the game registered the harpies as the dragon, and rewarded me accordingly but then derped out when I didn't actually fight/kill a dragon. Anyone ever have that happen?

Ahhh yes! The "Conquest Road Wyvern" glitch. You actually got lucky (I have had the same thing happen once before as well...getting DF'd without actually killing the wyvern), but normally if it glitches out, it just disappears, and the quest will eventually "fail!"
Enjoy the free forging....always a nice treat!

You've experienced two glitches. The first was the random dragonforging. It can happen as long as a dragon is in the area. It also lead to a lot of confusion over how to dragonforge items early on. I've only had it happen once, with the devilfire grove drake. He wasn't even attacking me. No one knows why it happens.Bekkael wrote...

The second is the result of another poorly implemented, anti-cheating feature. Some people were getting a dragon to a sliver of health and then running away and saving the game. Then they would kill the dragon over and over again until they got an item dragonforged. Capcom made dragons run away if you get to far away from them to prevent this sort of behavior. Unfortunately, some dragons are prone to flying away because of this. Just another glitch.
