And good point about Seel, I would have forgotten all about that. :)

Pfft, you mean you haven't memorized who we've all romanced... on our alt playthroughs no less.

Arg, if anyone still has access to Fournival, could you possibly send my boy (or girl) home with a Dragon's Gaze? Two stars aren't cutting it and now the dragons have taken to laughing at my attempts to dragonforge this thing.

And look out, the share button's working.

Dragon's Gaze can't be gifted. I have three of them but they don't show up in the gift menu.

@cold So sorry for the 3 stars Chase would have come back to you with. The first time, Daimon sucked him into a vortex, and the second time he jumped into the water at Blue Moon Tower. :pinched: It seems like all my pawns love to jump in the water there, Quintin included. Come to think of it, I've accidentally done it once myself. :wizard:

I've gotten sick and tired of random people using Quintin (who I think is a fairly decent pawn) and sending him back with constant 3 stars, so I made him "friends only" yesterday. I never use a pawn unless I'm willing to give 4 or 5 stars, why are people so mean? :?

How difficult is it to kill Daimon's second form? I've done his first form twice now, so I'm pretty comfortable with it, but is the second form much more difficult?

@Shep Love the report! <3 I can't wait to know what Quintin is up to. Also, you really kinda made me love Death lol. I still need to work up my courage and kill the bugger, but I'm scared. When he scythes the pawns I'm all alone... :crying:

Also, if anyone has any extra Bloodred Crystals, I could really use them for my Framae Blades. I let endless Strigoi snack on me and the pawns, but they won't drop any for me. Maybe they aren't getting enough blood? :(

In other news, all the dragons have stopped forging stuff for me again. Ugh. Not even any of the Cursed Dragons will, and they've been my go-to for forging for a while. Curse my luck. Guess I need to start speed running and kill Grigori a hundred times. >_<

@Carcharoth - huh. Well, thanks anyway. I'm sure it'll forge someday. Last night I kept godsbaning on the dark bishop/cursed dragon until I got fed up and switched my equipment... after which it forged everything.

@Bekkael - I may have some Bloodred Crystals, I'll send one your way if I do. Don't know what time I'll be on, though.

Bekkael, if you got sucked into the vortex, I think that WAS Daimon's second form... right? I've fight his second form only once, and all the pawns got sucked into the vortex. After about 30 minutes, I finally killed the f***er... on my own. I hate how it traps you in that room.

I can send you a blood red crystal, too; I'm pretty sure I have a few. Man I really need to fight Daimon again so I can gold forge my frammies. I think it'd be impossible with an assassin though, urgh.

No, I still haven't made it to his second form yet.

His first form has at least a mild vortex thing he does, because I always run away when I feel that pull. Maybe he sucked Chase to him and then killed him? I was busy running away lol and didn't exactly see what happened.

The first time I killed him as a MA, and it took a long time, but this last time I went as an Assassin. It was muuuuch quicker when I could Thousand Kiss him while Chase whaled away on him as well. Shinon did lots of damage with his bow, but Quintin was a total derp and only managed to case a few spells with all the running he was doing. I think Ranger would have been a better choice for him, or even a Fighter like Chase.

Also, Daimon didn't forge anything for me either this last time I killed him. Was he supposed to or is it just Ur-Dragon and Grigori that always do?

You have to stun him, or chances are all your pawns will get sucked away. I find the "come" command isn't enough. A direct hit or two to the face will stop the vortex. With MA it's easy, a ninefold bolt usually does the trick. And if it doesn't, two ninefolds will. Other classes I'm not sure about, if you're already climbing on him, does he throw you off before the vortex? If not, just keep attacking.

And Daimon doesn't forge things. Just dragons do.

I died against the Giant Ogre a couple of times-- Luckily I had 20 of those resurrection stones. Either level 109 isn't good enough for this island or it's simply because I'm playing on Hard.

The recommended level is 80 to begin, I think. I still get OHKd occasionally at infinity on normal, but my Arisen is constructed entirely of wet paper towels.

I can see her falling pretty fast on hard.

I was never able to stay on him. Since I was trying Assassin I had all strength augments equipped and no Adhesion. I find unless I have that augment equipped, EVERYTHING can throw me off. Quintin and Shinon both ran when he started the vortex, but they have ranged attacks. I guess Chase didn't run because he was melee only. I will stick with MA next time I take him on. The magic bow I have is much better/stronger than the one I have for Assassin, and I get beat down by him a lot using daggers/sword.

Okay, so Daimon isn't a dragon so no forging. Got it! :P

Oh I see. Yes, if you enjoyed the "mild" vortex, then get ready for some real fun when you fight Awakened Daimon :innocent:

Climbing won't work very well for Awakened Daimon... :crying:

Getting drenched must result in a real mess :lol::lol:

I didn't find BBI got relatively easy until like level 140 or so :innocent:

Most of my gear is stuff gathered from the Ur-Dragon Offline & Online, like Heaven's Key Daggers, most of it is D-Forged too. Guess it's because it's still hard difficulty I'm playing.

Actually, climbing is how I always fought AD: all-archer crew, with my Arisen as MA, with Framae Blades and Immolation. Then hop on his back, and go to town with Thousand Kisses. Add periapts or buff potions liberally.

If you have Briana and Shinon with you, they help make mincemeat of that bad boy. Posted Image

The fight is usually over in about 5 minutes. Literally.

All vocations that are good for climbing and whack-a-doodling are great for taking both forms of Daimon down. Seriously. Quickest way I have found to get him dead. Ranger and Assassin work best for me, with great strength augments. MA also works, but I utilize at least one slot in augments, for a strength augment (Clout). I then have Opportunism and Adhesion in my Augments as well. I jump on him as quick as I can and whack his face repeatedly. If you go in as an Assassin, and would prefer to use the sword, you can still take advantage of jumping on him and attacking with Dire Gourge (it's a favorite of mine on the Ur-Dragon....I prefer to take down the Ur by jumping on and attacking the hearts melee style).

@Bekkael - Don't even worry about it. That boy needs to learn to "RUN" when big swirly vortex's show up out of the ground. Silly lil' elf. XD

@Shepenwepet - *Applause* LOL! I almost missed the report. Frickin' awesome. Definitely look forward to more. Nothing wrong with shorter reports, if those are a bit easier. ;)

I may also have a Bloodred Crystal.....won't be on much though. We launch the mod this week. :D

Oh, and too bad we can't send Shep any Dragon Gaze's...I have a bunch them. Not even sure where I keep picking them up. Everfall maybe?? *shrug*

(psssst....I do bite....sometimes *evilgrin*)

@TheChris92 - The island alone is pretty hard, but throw in the higher difficulty and that is definitely going to impact how hard it is to kill da beasties. At least I suspect it is a fair assumption. 109 is fine for going into BBI, but even at that level, there are baddies that can stomp ya.

That was very brave and foolish of you. Posted Image If you have high-level pawns, you might just make it, but if not... I remember running out of there more than once with my tail between my legs.

I love that screenshot. And you should try Immolation! Unless you're really into dragging the fight out. Posted Image

I think I might have been somewhere around that level when I started BBI or maybe a little less. The first set of Helmbarte Daggers I got I couldn't even use because it drained my stamina, and it took me over an hour to kill a chained Gorecyclops! Good memories. :P

And then, I encountered Death within about 30 minutes of starting the Isle...and of course he took out my 3 level 100 pawns in one sweep of that accursed scythe. Needless to say, I sh*t myself when I saw him.

You must be good! Or maybe I suck  Also I was about level 130... so yeah. But every time I climbed on him... he zapped me with lightning. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.
