All vocations that are good for climbing and whack-a-doodling are great for taking both forms of Daimon down. Seriously. Quickest way I have found to get him dead. Ranger and Assassin work best for me, with great strength augments. MA also works, but I utilize at least one slot in augments, for a strength augment (Clout). I then have Opportunism and Adhesion in my Augments as well. I jump on him as quick as I can and whack his face repeatedly. If you go in as an Assassin, and would prefer to use the sword, you can still take advantage of jumping on him and attacking with Dire Gourge (it's a favorite of mine on the Ur-Dragon....I prefer to take down the Ur by jumping on and attacking the hearts melee style).

*faceplam* Okay, it's official... EVERYONE is better at this game than me! And I play on easy =]

And then, I encountered Death within about 30 minutes of starting the Isle...and of course he took out my 3 level 100 pawns in one sweep of that accursed scythe. Needless to say, I sh*t myself when I saw him.

Yeah I think a little pee squeaked out when I first encountered Death in the Garden of Ignoiminiminimity. :D And then I distinctly recall happy_daiz laughing and saying she didn't want to spoil me about it. So mean!

Ever since you told me about Immolation I actually get excited when I see a frostwyrm

It's sad how I tend to get into a rut. I mean I was using the same three skills for about 40 levels. It never occurred to me to change them :pinched:

I'm right there with you! I would never try to play this game on any setting BUT easy. I don't like to die in my games apart from intentional Godsbaning. Ever. :kissing:

I was just sharing the love! Posted Image Seriously, I nearly shat twice and died when I first encountered Death myself. I actually ran from him for probably the first 30 levels in BBI, until I stood and faced the tiger, so to speak.

Team Sexy had my back. Posted Image

Indeed I am! As an example, spending close to half an hour fighting the Dark Bishop is thirty minutes of non-stop fun.

If you guys are wondering how to use Immolation to your advantage with AD, here's a video you can refer to. Granted, the guy and the music is terribly annoying, but the tactics he uses are really similar to what I was using. Heck, I probably stole them from him.

Periapts!! I forgot to mention that. Thank you @happy_daiz.....and HI!! You have been missed. ;)

I am addicted to Periapts. They are my DD "crack". It's one of the main reasons I flirted with the idea of "romancing" Fat Bastard Fournival. Limitless supply of Periapts at my HOUSE...in post dragon. Meh....in the end, I just didn't want to bother. Ended up with Maxi-pad again. *shrug* wuteva. XP

Aww, thank you. I've missed you too! Posted Image All of you guys!

I have been thinking lately that I should get back into DD, but I can already hear my hubs groaning about it. He's been trying to get me to play Game of Thrones (where you can only play as a dude, tsk tsk). I watched him play it quite a while ago, and was turned off. It's like they stole the combat directly out of DAO.

I do silently lurk this thread, from time to time, just to stay in the loop.

Just watched that video and one other of AD. :o Yeah. I won't be taking on his 2nd form anytime soon. Forgot you had to basically kill him twice and his attacks get ramped way up. I also don't want to fight a super strong possessed pawn. *eyes Shinon*

Think I'll stick with killing the little guys like cursed dragons and Grigori for now. :wizard:

@happy I was on the forums for the guys that created the GOT game way before it came out, and I didn't like their attitude at all when I and some other females mentioned that it would have been really nice to have been able to play a super tough female avatar. (Bryn or Arya anyone?) Their response was that it was basically a male universe so their game would reflect that. I thought they were disrespectful of female gamers, and women in general, so I will forever boycott their game. <_< Plus, all the reviews say the game is complete crap.

Anyway, hope you have fun if you decide to play it. :innocent:

Having a healthy fear of AD is a good thing, I think. I went in there more than once, over-confident, and got my arse handed to me. I'm pretty sure if I went home and tried it today, that would be the result. I doubt I even remember how to play.

Honestly, if it weren't for Shep and Carcharoth rooting me on, I would have never had the guts to try it. I can't tell you how many times I got through the Forgotten City, and Liftstoned back to the entrance, because I was too scared to face him.

Ugh, I hate that 'male universe' argument. If they want to have a sausage fest, that's their prerogative, I guess.

The reviews are right; that game is awful. I watched the hubs play it, for quite a long period of time (at his behest), and the whole time, I'm sure my eyes were squinted, and my brows were furrowed.

I will not be playing it. Posted Image

I checked, I don't have any Bloodred Crystals. I have Leapworm Jelly! That's... that's practically the same thing.

:wub::wub::wub: Have I told you that my 13 year old daughter ships my ARISEN with Shinon? Every time she walks in the room and sees me playing, she sighs and says: "Dem abs."

I think I'm pushing around 150 Leapworm Jelly myself! And the pawns always stop and pick that stuff up, while leaving the cursed armor laying on the ground. Gotta love 'em! Thanks for checking for me anyway. ^_^

(Edited for clarification: she doesn't ship Shinon and Quintin! LOL derp.)

Okay, Quintin has been sent back with a bloodred crystal.

And... the share button isn't working again. Even 10 minutes of trying and re-staging and re-trying and... ugh. Just imagine the scene: Half-naked Shinon standing with his hand on his hip, giving a delighted looking Seel the stink eye. Add your own caption.

But seriously, Shinon. Dat outfit!

I must continue my corruption of today's youth.

But yeah, booo, share button...

If you can get it to the "share on facebook" window, it will eventually go through, but you might be waiting anywhere from five minutes to an hour.

I usually bring some stuff I need forged. Always forget to put it on though.

Kill number 15. Still no Beowulf Mask. The RNG gods hate me.

It helps to use Heaven's Key and a crapton of periapts if you're going one heart at a time. That Ur just had the one heart on its leg, which was a nice change from the 6 or 7 I'm used to seeing.

I got a few pics tonight, maybe about 4... here's one.

Shinon: Yeah, that was brilliant. Casting gicel on... what was it? A goblin? Or was it NOTHING because everything was already dead? Now we're stuck in here until this stuff melts. I'm not exactly dressed for sub-zero temperatures, y'know.
Barnaby: Mrr frrrce rrrs frrzrrn.
Shinon: Well what does that tell you? That tells you you should have stayed back in Gran Soren guarding the Everfall.

You mean there are usually more hearts?!?!?!? How is that possible??

I had Heaven's Key the first two times then switched to frammies; also gave Seel High Maelstrom, which was quite effective... but still not enough.

:? I'm not used to using periapts, but maybe I'll try that next time :wizard: I've had enough of this guy for the night.

p.s. Barnaby's rusty magic BETTER make an appearance in Shinon's next report  Also, tell him that Seel recently tried to cast Bolide repeatedly on a single wraith, so, it happens.

Sorcerers. Bah!
