30 minutes is not an "only" type of thing.....that's kinda long to be walking across a map to a video game world.
Lol what kind of games do you play? For an RPG thats horrendously short.

Forget RPGs. Do you know how long it takes to go across Liberty City in GTA IV?
I should just say
Any open world Game. I mean heck it took longer than that at least on Foot in GTA 3/ Vice City or LoZ OoT.
I mean several games, unless you play more of the recent shooters who have let the standard fall and only now seems to be attempting to dust its self off.
Heck even most shooters thats not true, well least you more open ones like the various Halo's. Thats just too little of a time unless your game is on rails.

It's even worse when you have the developer's basically "confirming" that it takes 2-3 hours to walk from one coast to the other... and it's not the case.
...but, for the sake of argument, it's all speculation at this point until we finally get our hands on the game. In Robert Cram's video, he doesn't actually do the entire walk.. he does a small section and uses that as reference to guess the length of time.

So Dragons Dogma and everything about it just doesn't matter to me. I'll look at its reviews but till some "game of the year" edition comes out, and knowing capcom it will. I'm just not buying it.

Besides the demo is way too short thats not nearly enough time to get a feel for it and I have 0 desire to play it again.

Funny thing is they claim it is too late for Dragon's Dogma. How about, I don't know, relaease the on disk content for free for a game that is not out?
My response.... I guess its too late to sell me on the game.

30 minutes to trek an entire map is really not all that impressive for an open world RPG who capitalizes on "how big" the game is. It's not like your Arisen can even sprint the entire time, since he runs out of stamina.. so, we can assume that the 30 minutes is mostly spent walking.
It's even worse when you have the developer's basically "confirming" that it takes 2-3 hours to walk from one coast to the other... and it's not the case.

Ummm...he runs actually and he said it would take 30 minutes to run across the entire map (not that he's even done it but he's assumed based on the trek he did from the starting village to the fort). I'm sure the mountains may also contribute to the time it takes. I do remember the developer also saying that it took 5 hours to trek from the beggining of the coastline to the end but considering the new information I doubt that's true. Maybe it takes 5 hours if you go about killing things from top to bottom but this just shows how misleading Capcom have been.
30 minutes to run from bottom to top isn't that bad. It took 10 minutes in Risen 1 and I remember it took 18 minutes in Oblivion with an above average speed. Fallout 3 was even quicker if I remember.
What annoys me however is how Capcom tried to be misleading. Yeah I'm sure it does take 2 hours to WALK across the map Capcom.

Indeed. You must be lucky if your version is free of all bugs and glitches without being patched.

By that definition of unfinished 99% of games are unfinished not just Bethesda games.

Depends. I don't remember Two Worlds 2, Deus Ex: HR, Dark Souls or Dragon Age: Origins releasing with game breaking bugs. Yeah, some of the games had a few glitches and minor bugs but nothing major which would actually destroy your save or break the main quest. The only major technical error in Dark Souls is the framerate in Blighttown and it doesn't destroy your game.
Meanwhile Two Worlds 2 has 1 side quest which is bugged but everything else is fine. In Dragon Age: Origins I encountered two sound glitches during the 200 hours that I spent on the game and I can't even remember encountering any bugs in Deus Ex: HR.
Note that I've played through all four games when they were unpatched.

Oh lawdy why you say tthat!?
Lulz
I preorder that game to shut the ****ing new guy at game stop up. God some of the new people there are just sellsmen, you have a few folks that work there who love the games...I need to sneak in the back see when they work lulz.
But yeah I'm thinking of getting it, waiting for E3 really. If it still has the slugish controls from RE4 and RE5 I'll skip on it. For a shooter which is the direction they are going, those controls are what kept getting me killed or wasting healing items.
