@Shepen - lovely rump shots. I think it may be deserving of a series. ;)

As for the ring + Articulacy combo: I really do see a difference in casting time. It may also help that I always use Gravitas and Inflection (one helps to not be interrupted when spell casting, and the other halves the damage Chase takes if hit while intoning). My suspicion is that he is less likely to stop casting either to protect himself, health up or wuteva.

I don't put Gravitas and Inflection on Seel because I have watched that sucker in battle. Anything comes even remotely towards him and he drops his staff and books it. Has the fortitude of a jack rabbit.

REALLY?? The BBI rings make them cast slower? *rubs chin* I might have to reconsider equipping him with the Bolide/Gicel ring lol

Only because pawns will try to cast the full spell. They don't really slow down casting time, but it still takes longer for them to go through three levels of magic rather than one or two. You can speed up casting speed with having a team of sorcerers on top of the ring and augment.

@motomoto - LOL....I am getting an image of poor Seel kiting around a column from some big, bad, ugly. HA! XD

You should give those two augments a try (Gravitas and Inflection). I do really find they help. That doesn't mean your pawn won't eventually stop casting if he/she is getting overwhelmed, or continuously battered, but they aren't AS quick to stop casting when every little goblin says "boo!".
XD

And yeah, I actually noticed the BBI ring for upgrading Bolide (for example) when I had Ulee set as a Sorcerer. Trying to cast that spell literally became completely fruitless. If I was able to actually pull it off, it didn't finally trigger until everything was pretty much about dead. :P lol! When I took the ring off, I found I could usually get the spell out before the pawns had finished off the baddies. Same thing I saw on Woolie, when he was using the BBI Bolide ring.

My problem is that I play as the sorcerer, the cast times are much more noticeable when you're frozen in place waiting for the bar to fill up.

I know articulacy makes a difference, as I never let that baby go during my first playthrough as a mage/sorcerer. Wyrmking's Ring is another Articulacy stacked on top, which, when both are active, reduces cast times by 30%.

It's just that I've played MA for so long, the sorcerer spells are hell to sit through. I couldn't imagine doing so without the 30% reduction.

Re: rump shots, I'm afraid I don't have very many that aren't cyclops-centric. I do have this one of Carcharoth taking a page out of Alynna's book, which I believe was called "Grab Dat Ass On The Sly."

Okay, I'll give it a try when next I play him. That means I'll have to knock out two other augments though. This is Seel's sorcerer set-up: Sinew, Attunement, Conservation, Bastion, Articulacy, Acuity. Ideas?

Yeah, what can I say, he has a healthy sense of self-preservation  The scene where Daimon first emerges, and the pawn jumps in front of the Arisen, all protective... when Seel did that I had to rub my eyes. I think Rohan did, too. "Who are you and where's Seel?"  Seel: Shut up; it's scripted, I have to do this. As soon as this guy gets going, you're on your own, bro.

I have to say that Seel knocks out Bolide pretty quickly. It's his favorite spell. But I find it so ineffective. I mean half the time the meteors finally fall and, if the monster isn't just sitting in the same spot, it never hits it. And he looooves to cast Bolide. Sigh.

This makes so much sense now! No wonder Seel hardly ever manages to cast Gicel. It IS worth it though... I mean when he does manage to kock it out (and AIM IT IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION), it's brutal.

And luckily he's never done anything stupid, like cast Gicel at a frostwyrm. That day is coming though, I can just feel it.

I find that I take to hiding in corners while I cast. Playing as sorcerer builds bad playing habits!

@Carcharoth - very good point about releasing spells early to cast quicker. I do that quite often, if I don't think I can make a full charge, and pawns won't....just as you stated.

@Happy - you're so cool. Posted ImagePosted Image

@Shepen - I have a few interesting ones......let's see what we can find.

Ah yes. The days of our "Guess Who" game. Ulee and Chase as Buffy and Spike, while Shin is showing off cool moves in an outfit tailor made for the likes of Liberace....or Elvis. Posted Image

Stupid share button. Posted Image

Shepenwepet mentioned a few pages back, about starting a new account, and making a new Arisen/Pawn. This is sounding more and more fun to me. Both my PS3 and Xbox characters were never built exactly as I had hoped (M!Chase is probably the closest), and I am kind of liking the idea of being "squishy" again. Go figure. Don't get me wrong, Ulee is more than capable of biting the dust if I am not paying attention/distracted by taking photo-ops, and the likes. I also find a strange joy in being slightly god-like, in vanilla Gransys.....but it does get boring rather quickly. At least BBI still requires me to put some effort in, even if I can survive everything.

So being squishy again, sounds like a laugh. Doing better builds, and being stuck with some crappy gear again, at the beginning of the story sounds nice. My husband has an old Hotmail account, so I could just use his to set it up.

*whispers* Do it... do it...

I really hate that you have to have multiple save locations to have more than one account/playthrough. The only bad thing about having two Arisens is the whole "you sent me a lvl 3 armor and it turned into a rock, sorry" deal. That really and truly sucks. Also sucks when someone sends one pawn something that is meant for your other pawn. Then you feel like a real douche. But overall it is worth it. I love my four characters equally. I know I would get bored with just Rohan and Seel, or Dai and Arya. It's good to switch it up. It's good to have a pawn who's strong versus a pawn who's magically powerful.

I think I will, by gum! :D

However, I am going to do the whole other account thing. So I will need to friend y'all on the new account again. That way, I can truly keep them separate (no worry of switching back and forth. Hell, in theory, my new Arisen should be able to rent my own Chase. ;) I just have to be logged in as the new account (hubby's account, it shall be), and thus, do friend requests for everyone with said new account.

BTW, @motomoto, This is the augment list I have been using for Sorcerer/Mage, for some time. You are at a high enough level, that you should be fine with these augments: Acuity, Attunement, Articulacy, Gravitas, Inflection, and Sinew.

You can always take out Sinew (not everyone needs to be a pack-mule, and Sorcerer gear is much lighter than other vocations), and replace it with another "defense" style augment. Inflection is a defense augment, but is meant to only give you that higher damage resistance when your character is busy intoning. ;)

Kay thanks; I've copy/pasta'd it to my Word file for next time I play Seel! :D

Also... I'm proud to say I fought Death again!!!! I got a whole bar and a half off of him, AND I was fighting him with... Talia and Thomas!! Good job, guys! They were both very helpful 8D

Oh yes, and whoever sent me the scythe shard, THANKS!! I can now upgrade some of my Shadow gear! :D

Seeing all these build discussions has had me thinking now :P

So I've had Talia (my main pawn) run as a fighter for 74 levels.  Do you think its worth making her play another build for a while to bolster other areas?  Or is a fighter suitable overall since my arisen has been playing a strength based assassin build since level 25?

B)

Also BB has just got hard (entered the area with two chained Gore-Cyslops, 3 Garms, 3 Sirens, 6 corrupted Pawns and a Lich).  Ran out straight away since I know its going to be a long battle for the weekend ahead B)

Here is the stat growth page: http://dragonsdogma....ki/Stat_Growths

You kinda have to decide for yourself? ^_^ Some like a well-rounded pawn. Others like a "specialist" pawn. My pawns are specialists. I believe Coldy's is a well-rounded guy. The truth is, once you get to level infinity, I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference.

Yes. If you plan on making her a purely physical pawn, you're missing out on some Warrior augments that would really, really help in that department. (Clout!)

It's advised that you max out everything, though. Having a physically/magically balanced pawn can be preferable to a glass cannon, but it's all up to you. I myself sometimes regret making my Arisen purely a magic class, but Shinon... I wouldn't change him a single bit.

If you're in post-game, a quick way to rank up classes is to head to the noble quarter and just... go eat lunch or something. You get very little XP, so you don't have to worry about leveling up with a class you don't want the bonuses from.

Definitely look at changing her to all the vocations (or at least to all the strength/stamina related ones...if you want to focus on a Strength build. Which is more than fine.Posted Image) The bonus to maxing out other vocations, is to make available ALL the augments that the different vocations offer. You are not restricted to only using "class" specific augments. If you want to put "Clout" on your Mage, you can (no point to it, mind you...lol. But your choice.) And speaking of clout, if you have never maxed out the Warrior vocation for her, then she doesn't have the best Strength modifying Augment that the game offers (you get it by maxing out Warrior). Check out this link to find more info on level up info and individual vocation intel: http://dragonsdogma....ki/Stat_Growths

Just use the links in the above link, to the individual vocations, to learn what maxing out each class gives you.

**OF SPECIAL NOTE**
If you are already "Post Dragon" in the main game, then there is a "trick" to maxing out Vocations quickly, with out leveling up to fast. Just go into the Noble Quarter, and fight the never ending horde of guardsmen. They are low level and lots of them, so your rate of DP will be much higher, than taking on dragon after dragon. ;)

Got lots of shots to convey general craziness, however.

I'm not sure Chase knows what's going on in that picture either. His face... "Help me... someone... pleeeeease..."

It's the weekend, so no more sharing :crying: No pic of Thomas and Dai playing hide-and-seek behind a cursed dragon's tail for you guys.

Seriously, Thomas was bound and determined to scale the cursed dragon from it's tail. I guess he likes a challenge.

Judging from the pics that were around that shot, the white thing next to Chase is a Silver Knight's shield, and the bare arm holding the Framae is Valmiro's, and he's using Advanced Trigger.

Here's another one from the vault, looking out from inside a chimera.

Just signed up with the new account....and it is (wait for it....): coldwetn0se. LOL! yeah....go figure. I get my husbands account up with MY online username for pretty much EVERYTHING. :P XD

I am sending out friend requests as we speak, but I had to come on here, to be reminded of what my own stupid gamertag is. >.< XP I'm an idiot. Who had too much wine. O.o XD

So I am still trying to decide if my pawn will be female or male. What ever gender I choose, I will do the opposite of for my Arisen. It's my way. *shrug*
