I originally tried to gift it to him when he was level 23 or 24.....so, maybe it requires level 25 or higher..?? Hmmm. Maybe Shep will humor me, and switch Zihark back to Strider, and I can try and gift it to him.

@Carcharoth - Castor is very grateful for the lovely weapons, but I gots to ask?!?!?! How the hell did you gift him the Pleached Limbs bow?? I tried to give him that with Ulee/Chase, and it told me I couldn't?? Is it just level specific, or are you just that damn special?

 

Are you sure you weren't trying to gift the Everfall bow Noble Limbs? You can't gift those as they're now BBI weaps. I don't think there are any level requirements for weapons, aside from the stamina penalties you get from using BBI weapons at low levels.

 

Oh, wait, Noble Limbs is a longbow. Yeah, I'm stumped.

Well what da hell! LOL! I was able to gift the Pleached Limbs to Zihark. >.< My only guess is that maybe I had re-clicked on Stalwart Bow (which isn't giftable), thinking I had clicked on Pleached Limbs. I was meaning to gift the Pleached Limbs though, so....fooey!

 

Ahh well. lol! Zihark now has a new bow, and I also sent Alynna back with her cursed weapon.

 

I actually ended up losing Chase to Death....he decided to join the party a little early (before I finished off the Saurians and Gorechimera). Stupid goat head kept zapping us (I was out of everything...no sobering wine, no periapts)....

 

Anyway....switching back to Ari/Castor. Trying to knock out a bunch of vanilla DD quests, still.

Oh. thought I would mention. For those higher level Arisens that are using our little squirts (Castor and Zihark), you may want to occasionally check your own pawns inclinations. I have now had to change Chase's secondary Inclination, because it kept getting switched to Nexus. As often as he kept running and grabbing Zi and Cas, after they had "fallen", and bringing them to me to revive, I thought I better look. yup! Nexus.  (though, it really doesn't matter that much. *shrug*)

I finally finished my Raiden pawn today(although his face is covered in an ugly, gold forged Oblivion Hood anyway). Now I'll just have to finish my Vergil pawn.

Is anyone on PSN and interested in trading some raw materials? I'm looking for scythe shards, bone lanterns and moonshimmer pelts(I never get those damn things, would only need one of each). Except for these I should have every material in the game, a ton of BBI stuff and tons of Everfall loot. So if anyone is interested, please feel free to send an FR to "Necanor7".

@Cold - I managed to pick up a pawn like that over the shoulder shot once, not sure how though. Every other time I tried it just goes into the full nelson hold.

 

Also, an obvious life lesson I learned the other day. If you walk into the church in the noble district of Gran Soren and some fat priest starts talking smack about your pawns, don't do what I did. I picked him up and kicked him across the room. The guards in this game are psychic and faster than the Flash. But he did make a very satisfying thump when he hit the floor.

@ Shepen - Bri through the floor is phenomenal! Cereal....super. And how is it that you make my boys looks so smack-dammit good! I shouldn't have crushes on my own pawns....it's creepy! >.< LOL!

 

@curious - I haven't altered Castor's inclinations, and I checked right before shutting off for the night. Yup! He is still set to Scather/Challenger. Not sure what made him do it....he's just a big ole softy I guess.

 

BTW, Castor is set as a Warrior right now. Working on pumping up his Attack and HP. Then I will switch him back to mage, and finish out the last two vocation levels. A little Ranger time after that. I just changed Ari to Assassin, but I may need to set her for Ranger....even with a good number of levels of Strider, her stamina is still terrible!  I'm even using Endurance and the cloak that grants stamina (blanking on the name).

Kalethai (Zihark's arisen) got Keen Sight the last time I played, so I figured I'd go check out BBI. Not the brightest idea in the world, considering I die using Lyncean Sight at level 200 because I'm not paying attention.

 

So here I was, trying to get a nice shot of a skeleton forming when I find that I'm stuck on something and can't move. I get hit and it cancels the skill, zooming out to this.

Coldy, I just wish I could get one of the pawns to do it again, any pawn, doesn't matter. Dai has gone on soooo many harpy rides. They all just watch listlessly as he plummets 30 feet into a bloody pancake. My guess is that the others made fun of Castor so he'd vowed to never do it again.

 

So I sent the birthday girl home with a level 3 weapon, and I sent Zihark home with a level 3 novelty... cross your fingers for elite lantern!!! I have another level 3 novelty so let me know if that one turns out to be some lame augment nobody ever uses.

Ooooh....Dead Man's Party!  Love skeleton group shots. I am hoping to get Keen Sight today, but I need to spend a little time on the PS3 first. Castor/Chase are being neglected.

 

@curious - great shots! I will say this though....brave. So very brave. Picking up Castor as a Warrior. The boy runs out of breath with one swing.  Though, I did change his skill set, so he is using the lowest stamina consuming talents. That's helpful. lol!

 

Zi and Cas are a lot of fun to play around with. So glad you fine folks on the DD thread are more than happy to teach them a thing or two. @Carcharoth has managed to up Castor's knowledge base quite extensively, and that was with just a short jaunt last night. Hey Car, would you mind posting your spreadsheet again, for beastie knowledge? I don't have easy access with the new computer (still can't find my charger for my old work laptop...doh!), and I would be eternally grateful.

Btw, on my quest to finally get that damn Abyssinal armor set, I've picked up a lot of Ur Dragon weapons(Dwells-In-Light, Angel's Fist etc) I really don't need. If anyone needs any I'll send them to you. I'm also giving out a ton of BBI lvl 1 and 2 armors and weapons I'll never purify.

@Necanor - I too have been trying to get the Abysinal set with my PS3 Arisen/Pawn, but the only time I have been around for Grace (or paid attention...lol!), the damn Ur had 10 hearts to destroy.

 

>.< yeah.....wasn't gonna happen, with the setup I was playing, and the two lower level rental pawns I had. lol! I have a number of weapons from playing both on and off line, with the Ur-Dragon, but I may be missing a weapon or two. Will give you a heads up, once I log on.

 

@Carcharoth - holy hell in a handbasket! How did I miss that you could carry a Vile Eye around, and use it as a weapon?!?!? I am so going to try this.  This could make a great picture. Too bad most of the Vile eyes are found in darker areas.

 

BTW!! Did anyone notice that the "share" button (Xbox) was working pretty much all day/night, yesterday? On a Friday, no less? Guessing them getting the Pawn Community stuff back up and running, had something to do with it...yes? maybe?

I came on here to say that while it's 2:40 PM on a Saturday here, the share button seems to think it's 3:00 AM on a Tuesday. Hopefully it stays this way, because I need some shots.

 

By the way, I may be doing some rapid-fire hiring and firing tonight, so pawns will probably be returned sans gifts, unless you want airtight flasks or whatever happens to be the first item in the box, but I'll send them home with 5 stars.

My poor f!Chase. She gets rented out on the PSN, and people gift things to her, but they don't bother to leave a rating. I get that she might have been killed in BBI (so many ways for pawns to go "tips up", so I understand that happens), but I know she is being kept for quite a while by some of these people, and they don't bother to rate her. That rarely happens on the Xbox. Even complete strangers who haven't kept M!Chase for long, and gifted a potion at best, still leave positive rankings.

I have no idea what their actual ratings are at this point. Noooooo well I'll find you some more armor/weapons. I think I've juuuust about got everything I could want on this playthrough. I think Dai is lacking some carrion boots (or whatever it's called) but that's it. Arya would also like the 2H sword, but the hammer is great. I rarely play sorcerer, so ONE day if I HAPPEN to get a sanguine stalk, I'll keep it, but, meh.

Oh, I can always do runs to pick more up, and since warrior is a class I never use anyway it doesn't really matter. But thank you anyway!
