@Shep - I am having the same problem. Ulee/Chase sent Castor home with a few goodies, and they still haven't shown up. ![]()
I
Shin. I'll make a t-shirt.

I was tempted to slap face 47 on Zihark while in the CC just so we could have a hideous pawn for once, but I figured I'd be stuck with that until I beat the game.
Ooh, I should "fix" Shinon for a little while.
edit: is there a way to induce sleep on yourself? I feel like I've asked this question before...and the answer was no...

Oh didn't I tell you, Seel moonlights as a warg
Yep, I ran into him last night in BBI.
You can always tell which one he is, he's very affectionate.
I started Material Witness last night as well, here's the fella Barnaby picked to replace him as head of the guild while he was gone.
And here's Zihark doing a bang-up job on harpy lookout duty.
As I stated in one of my last posts, I spent some time yesterday doing a few main quests and sidequests. I ended up doing Symone's quest. I have never failed it, since I want that damn gold idol. But, I was thinking of doing something horrendous to her on a NG+ (since by then I won't give two hoots about the idol). Have any of you purposefully failed her quest, and what did you do? *eyes @Shepen and @Carcharoth, as most likely participants to this question.*
Oh ho, you would think it'd be them, wouldn't you? But do recall who my first Arisen was: teenage brat extraordinaire (I think he's the one who taught the pawns to play hide-n-seek in your game, by the way). He went along at first, getting her her stupid water, talking to her, blah blah blah, but when she challenged him to a race, he was like, OH ITS A CHALLENGE YOU WANT, BEOTCH?! and sprinted across the fields and to the gates in about 10 seconds flat. Arya was like, Perhaps we should let her win, Master, and he was all, NO WAY, SHE SUCKS!! I WIN GO ME!!!!
And thus I did not get my gold idol ![]()
I am curious though, if anyone has tossed her into the fountain while following her stupid arse around the market. Or picked her up, and dropped her into the canal (and of course, got arrested.
). Maybe just started attacking her outright. Anyone? Anyone?
OMG You make me want to do NG+ just to try it ![]()
I've never gotten the gold idol as far as I can recall. Once, probably my first playthrough, when she tripped and fell, I went to pick her up. But no, that's Not Done, and I got arrested.
The rest of the times I did the quest (I don't do it anymore) She'd always accuse me of letting her win the race. I tried my hardest to make a convincing showing, but no. It's either destroy her utterly or walk the whole way.
It's crazy that I have the patience to pause every three seconds for a screenie yet no patience to keep pace with a little kid in a footrace.
Shinon had a bit of a wild night last night as well. He may have taken things a bit too far.
I'm still working my way through Material Witness. Thought I'd lost Barnaby after a bandit battle since his dot wasn't moving, but when I went back...

Are you kidding me? I thought you wanted to go to Bloodwater Beach! Really, though, he's usually running into chimeras and goblin packs, not sitting and sulking.
Thomas stops to watch a wolf do his business...

And Shinon (pre-wild night) decides, hey, screw this expensive bow I've got strapped to my back...

Wolves hate kindling!
I'm kind of stuck playing DA2 again for some reason. Not only am I doing my Hawke + Fenris "Hard" mode playthrough, but I'm back to my Isabela and Merrill romances, too. But I'll return to DD. I still have my goals, don't think I've forgotten them! Arya and Dai are at least level 180 now (may be higher; can't recall). We're so close to infinity!! And slowly chipping away at Death each time we see him.
Then there's Seel and Rohan; going to get them to infinity as well AND beat Awakened Daimon, go boys, you can do it! Oh, and also try out that Lysian Sight since Rohan's an assassin ![]()
I have a sneaking suspicious, that a few of our regular posters are playing Dark Souls 2.....??
As for DkS2, for those that played the first two games (I assume Demon Souls is technically a part of that series), is it really as frustrating of a game, for those that love save files? These games have always interested me, but my patience for repeating bosses/levels/dungeons whatever, is not....mmmm...great. lol! I am constantly amazed at what I do have patience for, and what I don't.
If you learn from your mistakes and adapt to new enemies you'll be fine. I'm still trying to get my bearings and figure out where I need to go. The character creator is better than the previous one, but it still has nothing on DD.

Fair enough.
I think I can learn from my mistakes (*chuckles*...been known to repeat them though too.
). I am also not opposed to looking things up on the internet if something really makes me stuck (i.e. frustrated). Is there a particular class that is more fun to play (yes, I realize that is a subjective question, but it seems like often there is one or two classes in games like these that just have a perceived higher "fun" rate)? I also didn't realize there was a CC in the game. That can be a selling point for me right there. HA!
The classes are just a starting point and you can make any type of character eventually. That said, the warrior is a good place to start if you want to use strength or dexterity weapons earlier on. The sorcerer is supposed to be easy in the beginning since you stay at range and blast everything with spells. I went with the knight for the health and armor.
