Ari/Castor need them for upgrading the Dragon Glaze...or it might be a piece of armor. Wow...talk about crappy short term memory.

@Coldwetn0se - I have a spare Arisen's Bond that I can gift. I originally gave my first one to Ser Max (glad I didn't end up with him because he sounds boring!) But you do get a good ending with Julien, kind of sweet and heartfelt, despite having a voice like nails scraping down a blackboard!

Little secret about me... I'm bit obsessive about resource management and being a completionist, so it turns out I have 4 of the things lying around! ;D

@Jeremiah - thank you much!! I am usually like you...keeping multiples of just about everything. But I admit, I got a bit lazy with Ulee/Chase once they made their way to infinity level. Oops.

Finally backed up Castor and Ari, but still need to grab another disk for my thumbdrive, for Ulee and Chase. I am in the process of finishing up the main quests, before the Grigori showdown, with Ari and Castor. I have made it as far as the Bloodless Stockade with them in BBI, but don't have the "will" to go back through the Forgotten Hall yet. (and I confess; I am not good at just running through rooms, past the enemies, to get to the next dungeon.) Mostly, I just want easier access to Everfall loot. BBI hasn't dropped enough lvl.1 & 2 weapon/armor cursed pieces. The few I have got, have been repeats of crap. Heh! (example: last night purified two lvl.1 weapons. Both were Unfettered Claws. . yeah....I really should stop purifying, till I get my Godsbane.)

*chuckle* Since Ari is playing Ranger for the first time (and her stamina is still a tad low), she exhausts herself rather quick with the bow skills. So it is not uncommon to hear such things like, "Still too early to admit defeat." or, "Do not exhaust yourself, master." But Thomas just made me giggle with, "Up and at em, Ser." So chipper, that lad.

True, but I was referring to the idea that she might have been perhaps a tad under-armoured for BBI. Magnanimous Cloak can be a little wasted on her, as a Mendicant, but overall she can take some more punishment with the new combination. I'll miss the Leia getup, but it's easy to put back together! (Not many pieces...)

Yes initially I threw that philosopher's robe on her b/c she found it while we were traversing BBI, so I let her put it on. Because umm well let's just say I was doing a lot of running back and forth between her and Castor And this is with my assassin Arisen; I'm much better with my MA Arisen. 

 

Then she found a lordly cloak, and since she wasn't wearing one, I let her put it on.

 

I think I gave her some other stuff later when I released her, too

Just curious, I sent Rhys back real quick a minute ago after having him with me for a few quests and random murdering of wolves and bandits, how much rift coins did that net him? I'm wondering if it's time played based or accomplishment based.

I believe it's exactly the number of Rift Crystals earned while the player was using them. So, any you picked up, plus any awarded for completing quests. They'll also retain any quest, geography, or bestiary knowledge learned, as well. If the player that created the pawn has never played the quest, or encountered the enemy before, it will be listed as "Unknown Quest" or "Unknown Enemy" but the stars will still be filled in. The first time the creator meets that enemy, or does that quest, the pawn will give the advice, since they've encountered it before.

Don't worry, the RC awards for the early story missions are really small, so it's to be expected. They get bigger as you progress through the main Questline. And, frankly, once you have access to the kind of high-level Pawns people have in here, at no cost, you'll have more RC than you know what to do with before long after that.

 

There are collectibles to spend it on, and some services on BBI cost RC, but that's pretty much it, other than pawns. (At least, that's all I can think of...)

Time spent another players world and experience points gained by that player determine the number of rift crystals received. I don't know the math behind it, but I usually play on hard mode and enemies in Gransys don't drop rift crystals then. People here have still gained significant amounts of rift crystals after I've sent their pawns back from a week of playing. Anyone new and on XBox can send me a friend request (GT is the same as my name here) and rent Briana. Once I've finished up my current playthrough of Dark Souls 2, I'll get back to DD.

@Anzer - I will try and get on the PS3 later today, for another spin with Rozalin. I still need to grab the snapshots I made of the last outing. Since you will not be spending much time (if any) yet, in BBI, and if newschmoo and I keep taking Roz out, you will have plenty of RC's in no time. The only thing in vanilla Gransys you will spend RC's on, is a few things from Jonathan at the Encampment, and the occasional pawn....maybe. I think between fem!Chase, Rhys, and hiring pawns at the same level as your Arisen (which means they won't cost you any RC's), you will always have enough RC's to use as you see fit. Once you are in BBI, just about EVERY critter and corner, has RC's. Seriously, it didn't take long to amass millions (yes, millions) of RC's.

@happy_daiz - Hey you! I got some wonderful shots of Bri the other day (posted them a page or two back). I saw you hop on briefly. A stealthy little play time, eh?

Just about to finish up the last few quests before Grigori, with Ari and Castor. I also want to thank @Jeremiah for the Love-me-you-swatty-little-merchant! rock. Much appreciated. I gave one of the Arisen bonds to Reynard, before finishing his quest (along with two dozen Reminishrooms). We'll see if it did the trick. The only person I ever got to go pink and chimey, was Quina. And unfortunately, I forgot that she disappears, after you get the SuperPower Flowers. Which means I missed my chance to give the gal some liquid effluvium. I just hope that my affinity with Reynard is/was higher. Ah well....we shall see soon enough. lol!

OH! And thank you @Curious for the Purpure! Very nice.

Honestly, I felt like a clumsy fool. It was like I was drunk, or my controller was sticking. It was pathetic. I had to split, lest I damage my tender ego.

Probably true. But I've been too caught up in DA fan fiction to play anything, really.

Thanks for taking Rhys out.  I'm sure he has earned a good amount of RCs.  Any RCs are greatly appreciated .  Roz is great to have around as my Arisen seems to get injured quite a lot and he isn't very hardy!   As you go up levels, you will get a lot more RCs, particularly in the Everfall and BBI (as well as from others using your pawn).  I have over 4.5 million of them on my Xbox game and I am only level 118 on there!  

 

@Happy - glad to see you back on the thread   .  I love a bit of DA fan fiction.  I follow too many stories on there to the extent alerts are clogging up my googlemail account!
