You're a child? I'm the one that took the photo. :)

I've had writer's block with the report lately, when that happens I jump into BBI with the scene's characters and let the photos come. I think it worked this time. :D

Ahh...so very true. You DID take the picture. ;)

Now, on to business! You'd be a fool, not to look at my wares. :D YUP! I got my enhancing/buying/selling merchant as my "twoow wuv" (best to sound that one out..hehe). And Ari looks like a freakin' giant next to him. LOL! I honestly had no idea just how tall I had made her. He is a lot more interesting as an "LI", then my previous conquests (Aelinore - didn't know wut da hell I was doing - and Ser Max - twice with him...by laziness.)

I can't believe this...

My 360 hard drive just bricked. I've literally lost all of my progress in Dragon's Dogma for the second time.

Ariana might still be around for using, although she's now permanently locked in her current state, if so. If I can recover the save files by some miracle, I'll be back, but... I don't think that's very likely.

Those few hours in thread limbo were pretty scary. We almost lost months of hilarity.

@Jeremiah - well, that does indeed suck, but if ever you begin again, we're here to send you weapons, armor and materials to speed up the process. How old was your 360? Mine's probably a senior citizen in Xbox-years, and it wheezes a bit when you turn it on.

100% agree; as for ancient xboxes, I got mine refurbished; I believe it is a 2005 or 2006 model!!! Still going strong though. Grab another for 100 bucks like I did, or start saving up for the XB1 :) Still undecided as to which one I will get... XB1 or PS4.

I bought it new in October 2012. :l

After researching it all day, I do not have kind things to say about Microsoft, with regards to how they handled the design of their HDD, and the fact that they refuse to do data recovery on them (even though they are well aware of why this happens, and it could have been prevented at the design level.) In fact, I'm really quite angry about it. I have progress in hundreds of games going back over five years, and it's all gone. I can't even wrap my head around the scale of it, yet.

I'm bitter at the moment. Take my words with a grain of salt.

I am so sorry! Will keep my fingers crossed for you, on recovery of your game saves (for this and any other games you may have been playing).

*sigh of relief* Glad to see the thread back. I've said it dozens of times, but this IS my "crack". Too much laughing would be missed, if this thread went poof!

BTW, I "liked" your thread Jeremiah not because I "like" what happened to you, but figured it's the closest to a virtual 'back pat' or hug, one can give on this forum. ;)

Yeah this should really be a wake up call for me to save all my files.  Having lost my DD save file a few weeks ago, knowing that I could potentially lose everything I played over past five years in one fell swoop in a HDD failure is pretty scary!

Really sorry to hear you lost everything, one game was bad enough! :(

Finally got the game =) I'm not certain what to make of it yet, I love the monster designs and the combat, the fact its a open world is great too. Although, the story and characters seem rather weak. So far I'm enjoying it though, I haven't played much.

Welcome, Funkcase! Always good to see new posters here. On that note, BACK UP YOUR SAVE. Corruption happens a lot.

Yeah, the story and characters aren't exactly anything to write home about, and the story really doesn't get that much better until the final minutes, but the combat and customization have carried me through for about 600 hours.

And screenshots. I like them a little bit too.

Elder Scrolls VI: Gransys

ddtes.jpg

I'm sure Rook follows you around in Gran Soren and asks you repeatedly if you get to the Noble Quarter very often. Who is he kidding, of course you don't.

I'm thinking Alynna may have a problem.

ddalynn3.jpg

I wish I could have zoomed out a bit to make that shot easier to see, but yes, that is Alynna's hand sneaking up under the back of Barnaby's shirt. There's also a goblin shield in between them, not sure why Alynna never bothered dealing with the goblin first.

First, it's sneaky ass-grabbing, then things get worse and worse until you're conjuring giant ice wangs. ;) Yes, I blame Seel. I swear Alynna was nothing but pure until she met him.

My favorite part about the ice wang is how you said he walked around it afterward in awe. "This is truly the crowning achievement of my magical abilities. Years of studying sorcerery have led to this glorious moment..."

They probably get together to compare ass-grabbing techniques. "It's all in the wrist, Temporary Arisen..."

Seriously, I am going to start crying (or throwing the tantrum from hell)! Yet again, this STUPID laptop has managed to lose a whole post I was typing out (with picutres, quips, story...). I hate Windows 8, and the fact that this trackpad doesn't seem to have any kind of control panel to work with. So the cursor and touchpad will do things that I DID NOT TELL IT TO DO. My guess is some of those asinine "Ease of Access" controls, have been hard coded (or whatever) into the registry. Combine that with no control panel for the touchpad, and this bastard machine just does what it wants to. :pinched:

Going to take a breath, then attempt the whole post again. *grumble/foul language*

You poor dear :( I hate using the touchpad. I bought a wireless mouse to go with my laptop, cause yeah, the touchpad messes up all the time.

I don't know if your touchpad controls are in the same location as mine, but there's an icon in the taskbar at the bottom-right corner of the screen. You may have to click "show hidden icons". Right click the icon for your touchpad and click properties. Go to the device settings tab and click settings. Uncheck everything except buttons and click OK. This fixed most of the problems I had with the mouse.

Yea, look at Bethesda's rpgs…they have crappy story elements AND bad gameplay/combat.   At least Dogma has some decent gameplay

Exactly! Every other laptop I have owned (I use them for work), has this very thing (and yes, my last laptop I had to always "show hidden icons" with it.) This one. nup! I honestly don't get it. I just have to bite the bullet, and see if the place I had it built from, can give me some decent support. I have tried their forums, but that didn't help me. And their FAQ's are, shall we say, a bit lacking. <_<

I do thank you for the reply though. It is much appreciated.

@Curious - the wireless mouse is most definitely something I am planning on buying. I don't always have a good work spot to use a pad with though, so being able to use this laptop with the trackpad, is still kind of necessary.

But enough of my beeching! lol! I am going to rewrite the post, cuz dammit; I thought it was pretty funny.

So I planned to spend the day cleaning out my craft room.

I was digging through a bunch of old half-finished and then forgotten watercolor paintings I made about five years ago. One was a rough outline of a face with red hair.  (Seriously, I ditch these things almost instantly, I may have ADD.) I was about to toss it in the trash when I *saw* something in it.

45 minutes later I had this. My craft room remains a mess.
