So I planned to spend the day cleaning out my craft room.

I was digging through a bunch of old half-finished and then forgotten watercolor paintings I made about five years ago. One was a rough outline of a face with red hair.  (Seriously, I ditch these things almost instantly, I may have ADD.) I was about to toss it in the trash when I *saw* something in it.

45 minutes later I had this. My craft room remains a mess.

AWWWW Briana!!! You should send that to Carcharoth!! Hehe give her your address so you can hang that beauty on your fridge, Car :D

"You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day" NOOOOOOOOOO!  :crying:

Mike's put on some weight I see!

Deep dark confession: I got a little jealous when I saw Thomas and Castor holding hands. Thomas... I thought we had something...

Alynna DOES look pretty excited about the ice wang. Poor Ari.

And Gabs' face  Does indeed say it all

This post makes me realize that I ship All The Things, as in, all the pawns. They all go together in my head

EDIT: Except Seel x Briana; he admires her too much in a big sister sort of way. She's kind of his crazy goddess.

EDIT 2: But I think he'd still do her.

Guess whose back! Apophis here, back into  the Dragons Dogma craze. Sadly my PS3 remote got peed on by the dog, then Dark Souls 2 came along once I got my remote replaced.

First thing I have to restate: Dark Souls 2 may be hard as heck, an engaging game, and fun to play until you scream in rage, but it's character creator SUCKS. And it's armor system? Where's the clothing/underwear option? Other than that pretty good.

But hey, since I'm back, how have you guys been doing?

Exactly! Every other laptop I have owned (I use them for work), has this very thing (and yes, my last laptop I had to always "show hidden icons" with it.) This one. nup! I honestly don't get it. I just have to bite the bullet, and see if the place I had it built from, can give me some decent support. I have tried their forums, but that didn't help me. And their FAQ's are, shall we say, a bit lacking. <_<

I do thank you for the reply though. It is much appreciated.

From your desktop, right click and select Personalize. From there you should either see an option called Control Panel Home, at the top left, or you'll see All Control Panel Items at the top of your screen. They lead to the same page. From there, you should be able to find the mouse options.

It's beautiful. And craft rooms are meant to be messy.

@Carcharoth - yeah, I know about those. I used to do technical support a gazillion years ago. I have played around with all the mouse settings from the Control Panel, and the Ease of Access settings. None of it, has allowed me to prevent the track pad and cursor from "acting" without my input, on occasion. Most of what I have found on the internet, has given me the same set of instructions. This computer was built from the ground up, and the only software I had added to it, was Windows 8 (something I regret). I will send off an email to their support, and see what can be done. Especially since I can't seem to find/access any touch/trackpad control panel as well.

Thanks again though, for the reply. :)

*chuckle*

Since I wanted to give a few cursed items to Zihark and Castor, I started up my Ulee/Chase play through. I decided to take them for a quick run through the Midnight Helix, for a little fun. Well, a Living Armor stomped poor Zi, and as always, after the LA was dead Chase "brought" me Zi. But what made it more chuckle-worthy for me this time, was that he sort of dragged Zi (I think it was simply because of the tight quarters - it was a doorway) to Ulee, and let go. It just so happened that at the same time Ulee was picking up a dropped item right as Chase did this, so it looked like she caught Zi. Kind of like a fainting woman getting caught by some well hung Dudley-Do-Right.

Alas...too slow on the "pause" button. Looked much sillier than I described it. Hmmm.

@Apophis - Nice to see you back. You were not the only one from the thread to take a little time off, to play Dark Souls II (Carcharoth and Shepenwepet ;) ).

@Funkcase - Sorry....totally missed that we had a newcomer. Welcome! As @Curious said, PS3 or Xbox 360? We have thread posters on both (though the majority do play on the Xbox).

**EDIT**
Ulee: *pushes "Come!" button*
Chase: "I am on my way!"
Castor: "I'll be that at once!"
Zihark: " Err..just a moment." <_<

I have never heard a pawn say that before. Beautiful.

@BigEvil - Nice to see ya! I have been catching up my second/alt lower level play through, on the Xbox, but I will get back to the PS3 soon enough. I still haven't finished off Death in BBI yet, nor Awakened Daimon, with my Castor Arisen and f!Chase.

If Seel doesn't know how to do this already I'll be surprised.

Zihark: " Err..just a moment." <_<

I've got him set to reticent. He's the anti-Shinon. I sent Castor home with.... something? It was with Kalethai and Zi, so it probably wasn't much, but he was he usual awesome self.

Aurelio: "Yes, just wipe your nose on your sleeve while I deal with the harpies."

He sat down once as we were killing some goblins. He just sat down.

Ok, so Barnaby died. Maybe next time he won't stand around watching as the hobgoblins surround him and kill him.

The problem I usually have is that he's not watching the hobgoblins, but hunting for the camera instead.

Spoiler

I decided to pick up a pawn that was closer to my level, so I hit up the rift. There was an Arya and a Gabriele (one 'L') in the first 100 level 27s, so I summoned them, along with a Glenn that, if he isn't a Chrono Trigger/Cross reference, I'll be astonished.

But anyway, the Gabriele looked like a mini GABRIELLE, with Briana's green and purple eyes and freckles. She's a tad pale though.

Zi's a mage now, and that Bliaut is never coming off.

LOL....Poor confused Barnaby. ;)

I sent some things home with Zi. (not sure if they arrived, by the time you quit). It was from Ulee and Chase, so...might be something good.

I too have picked up a couple of unknown pawns lately. Usually one at a time (i.e. one unknown, to one known). It keeps the XP and DPs to a good ratio. Once I gift some of the things I have been saving for Zi and Castor, with Ulee/Chase, I am going to start grabbing lower level pawns to help out. Besides, I have all these teaching scrolls, and no one to teach. :D

@Coldwetnose

That used to drive me nuts about touchpads.

I have Windows 8, so you might be able to access your options the same way that I do:

1 - Open "Control Panel"

2 - In the Search Bar type "Mouse."

3 - One of the results (near the top) should be "Change Mouse Settings," click that.

4 - There should be an option to click on a proprietary touch pad's options, in my case it says "Dell Touchpad." Under that is "Change Dell Touchpad Settings."

Hopefully yours can be found that way, too. In my case, deactivating "gestures" is what removed most of the touchpad's annoying tendency to select things or click things without my input.

@Jeremiah - Did that many moons ago. The "mouse" controller (no proprietary touch/trackpad), if I go into resources, is unchangeable, even in admin mode. I suspect, I may have to alter some things in my registry. Again, I will shoot an email off to the company I had it built by, and hopefully will get specific instructions to change this.

Thanks for the suggestions, though. Much appreciated. :)

@Carcharoth - I swear those two look like they are having either a staring contest, or mind reading each other. ;)

Wow. I would go nuts if I couldn't shut off the touchpad gestures! :o

Yeah, wireless mouse is probably the only short-term solution, then. Heck, I'd even be happy with a wired one, personally, if only because I wouldn't have to change the batteries!

My goodness you guys. You're seriously gonna break Zihark's back. He came back today looking like a thin purple Santa Claus.

Anything you need, Alynna's probably sitting on some. Maker's fingers, hard bones, you name it. 'Cept you can't gift maker's fingers and for some reason I only have one Hard Bone. I probably gifted them all to Seel.

I actually picked up two new-to-Alynna items in Lure of the Abyss-Everfall. They were both strategy scrolls, one for skeleton knights and one for ogres. I thought for a minute I was actually using my alt gamertag, but no, it was Alynna. I s'pose I usually skip that whole area now with a wakestone, but still... I did it once before. Cassardite was another new item, from the grave underneath Adaro's house.

A coupla pics:

Thanks to all who donated to my alt bimbo, Castor. ;)

On our own, we did manage to grab another lvl.2 cursed armor, and it was....? Cursed Kings Belt, but of course. *eyebrow waggle*. Unlike Shep's more "modest" alt pawn, Zihark, Castor is more than happy to run around in skimpy clothing. Chase may be a bit thick, but he has begun to grow up. Castor; ehh, not so much.

Speaking of Castor and Ari...This last weekend I got them into Post Dragon. When I went to see the Duke, I had switched Ari to Mage, and Castor to Fighter, to finish maxing out the vocations. Used the respawning guard trick. Well, got really bored with that and quit before Ari was fully maxed (Castor DID max out fighter), and finally jumped into the Everfall cutscene. Did a round with the Evil eye, then came back to Gran Soren, where I quit for the day. That was a few days ago. Since then, a few of you gifted some lovelies to Castor, and I had played with Ulee/Chase, and also gifted him a few items. So last night, I started up the Ari/Castor play through, and saw all the gifts. Decided to walk back to Cassardis (since now I have a play through where I NEED things like Sinistones, Hex Runes, Hellhound pelts, and Ember Crystals), and used Olra to take us to BBI.

Now that I have the Godsbane, I could finally purify all that I had been saving up (and the new goodies). I got Dominion Claw, and Blackwing Bow. For armor, I got Shadow Gauntlets, Cursed Kings Belt, another Sovereign Mantle, and the Trophy Boots. I was so excited about getting this new gear, that I just grabbed my new Dominion Claw, and headed into BBI. :pinched: Now, there is nothing wrong with that, per se. BUT! I was set to Mage (not fully maxed and wearing less than useful armor), Castor was set to Fighter (to me the Fighter/Warrior classes are a bit less useful in BBI, but it is more problematic when the gear is lower level), Val who is also a Mage (at least I set Ari as the damager, since Val already has all the heal/buff type spells), and Thomas. Our knight in Shining (white) armor (literally! He is sporting the whole Trophy set, with silver accented pieces  ), who is currently a Strider.

Suffice it to say, it all went pretty good. Though I did a LOT of kiting, and once again, took down the Condemned Gorecyclops in the Midnight Helix, from the little corridor. Just hit him over and over with ice spells, till he went tips up (or face flat :P ). At that point, we were just running around in the Helix getting rid of the rest of the baddies (skeleton mages and gargoyles, who really decided Ari was the bees knees), when a Cursed Dragon decided to show. *thunk!* I had no periapts or potions left (save some of the defensive ones...thank dog for those at least), to up our offenses, and I only had a few mushrooms left for stamina. woops. With this type of group set up, it took about 35 minutes to finally kill the bugger. But he dragonforged every (useless) thing I was wearing, AND my Dominion Claw (woot!). And I didn't have to resurrect anyone. Double woot! :D Such good little pawns.

To finish off this tale, I still had one spot left to fill on my Mage, before the vocation was maxed out. So, I went through to the Fortress of Remembrance, and ran into an Elder Ogre. I was completely convinced someone was going to need resurrecting/wakestone (or just doing a header over the bridge...lol), but the Elder Ogre decided he had enough of this world, and jumped off the bridge himself. Don't know what happen or how it worked, but Ari and Castor both leveled up AND I maxed ( ) Ari's Mage vocation.

It was a good day.....

Welcome, Funkcase! Always good to see new posters here. On that note, BACK UP YOUR SAVE. Corruption happens a lot.

Yeah, the story and characters aren't exactly anything to write home about, and the story really doesn't get that much better until the final minutes, but the combat and customization have carried me through for about 600 hours.

And screenshots. I like them a little bit too.

Thank you very much! =D Sounds good, hopefully that gets patched; although it's rather odd that it hasn't been.

I've heard great stuff about the customization, I'm still not far in (very busy times), but I know for certain the combat is great! Screenshots is a nice feature, I believe more games should have this.

xbox or PS3? :)

Hiya Funkcase! Come join us in the addiction that is "screen captures". And don't forget the silly dialogues to go with them.

Since most of us are on the Xbox, you could have a number of pawns to rent for free, if you are interested. I have two pawns from two accounts (gamertags are: FlattestFlea726 and coldwetn0se ). The first one is my original Arisen/Pawn duo (Ulee/Chase), and they are level maxed, while my coldwetn0se account has my lower level Arisen/pawn (Ari/Castor). The lower level ones are now in the mid 70's. Even if you are not interested in hiring out our higher level pawns, we would be more than happy to hire your pawn so they can gain knowledge, and get gifts. ;)

Welcome aboard!

Oh yes, Funkcase, feel free to add me on XBL. My name is motomotogirl there.

I have two pawns, Seel and Arya. I actually have two different saves (one on the HD, one on a flash drive) so you'll never see both at the same time ;) Currently I'm playing Seel. He is a level 160-ish sorcerer, I believe.

Arya is a level 190 ranger/warrior.

Oh, right. My GTs are Shepenwepet (main, level 200, magically inept ranger that occasionally moonlights as every NPC under the sun)

and Wizardy5 (level ~30... trying to be balanced evenly but looks damn good as a mage so may stick being magical)

We tend to be a little generous with gifts here, so if you don't want to be overloaded, say so.
