About the gamertags, yeah I figured I'd ask first just in case. Hopefully you'll get more rentals!

I'm just about to hop on for a while, here's a few pics from last night.

Those shots are glorious, @Shep. :) The Petrification shot, of Zi is especially awesome. May need to forgo Sobering wine, next time I fight a Cockatrice (and make sure no one has potions to undo the debilition) ;)

Grabbed a couple of level 20 pawns. Had about 6 scrolls that were no longer useable with Castor and the group's pawns. Got to play dress up with them as well. Now, I am just roaming Post dragon Gransys, and letting them get their toes wet. It's kind of fun, seeing them rise to the challenge. One is a fighter and one is brand new Sorcerer.

I have done this with Ulee before, but it has been a long while. She is really due to grab some young'uns. Have a number of learning scrolls in her inventory as well (not to mention tons of armor/weapons to gift, that a level 20 or so, could appreciate).

Playing as a Warrior right now (just for a couple of level ups), so unfortunately no awesome Comet/Lyncean shots. Maybe change briefly, just to capture a few shots. ;)

Awesome shots, guys :wizard: Is it just me, or do Seel and Zi kinda look like twinsies in that shot.

I love grabbing low level random pawns, but I wish the game would tell you when the pawn's owner last played the game. I hate thinking that I just wasted time giving experience and loot to a pawn who will never be touched by his owner again.

...Somehow that came out dirty.

I spent some time as a brand new ranger lacking meteor shot, so I went to BBI to try to speed up the process. I was up to the Fortress of Remembrance, otherwise known as the Fortress of Pawn Suicide. Death made his scripted appearance, and I tell you, it's not easy to get outta there with all your support pawns intact. I kept reloading to see if I could just get my whole party up the ladder, and I finally did.

Castor then decided to celebrate his survival by getting a piggyback from a skeleton brute, which was subsequently blasted out of the hall into the abyss below by Shinon. Shinon insists that he "never saw him", but I think he's just bitter from being left in the rift for so long and is jealous of all the attention these new pawns are getting. Look what he did to Zihark.

I view Seel as the older brother. :)

You should have seen the two of them, it was like master and apprentice. Zihark kept casting comestion on pyre saurians, and Seel kept shouting "strike it with ice!" He got the hint and switched to frigor. Then of course Seel just massacred everything in the hall with Gicel, but the point is, he taught Zi some valuable lessons.

Aww <3 Now I'm picturing Seel smacking Zi upside the head with his staff, shouting, "Strike it with ice, ya damn whippersnapper!"

Seriously though, does the pawn system work that way? Do you think Zi really learned from Seel???

@Curious - Lovely snapshots! I especially like the Seel + Garm, and the Castor "webbing". Chase really is starting to look WAY too serious. That does it! Wardrobe change (and possible vocation change ;) ).

As for the "webbing", I LOVE using Ensnare/Implicate when I play Strider, so I decided to toss it into his list of useable skills. It's hilarious when he attempts to use it on enemies that are just a little too big and strong to have any effect from it. LOL!

As for the question on whether pawns learn to utilize certain spells, when around other pawns who shout out "suggestions"; yes. It appears to work that way. In fact, those two level 20's I took around Gransys with me yesterday, learned a few things like that, from Castor yelling such things at them. (just like with the Pyre Saurians, the little mage I had rented tried to use fire on Hellhounds, and Castor shouted "Use ice". Then she casted Frazil. )

HOWEVER.....sometimes, I think the AI is a bit off. Or, the Inclinations are getting in the way. I switched Castor to Mage late last night, and decided to hire a Sorcerer who was the same level as Ari/Castor. Took the pawns to the Midnight Helix to kill a Condemned Gorecyclops (and hopefully get a Cursed Dragon, which I did...yay for more DFing!). Ice spells generally due the most damage on Gorecyclops', and Castor was doing his best to show her/tell her that ice works best. What did she do? Constantly cast Holy Affinity. <_< In the end, I had to get really aggressive with the Cyclops, and Chase and Ari ended up doing most of the damage, melee style (since the beast really had it in for poor Castor.....even with the monsters ire set upon him though, he still managed to cast High Frigor a number of times). Good thing I brought a lot of potions/herbs/periapts.

It's having to look after Castor so much; it DID turn his hair grey for awhile

Ooo vocation change! Can I make a request? I've yet to see Fighter!Chase :D Let's do it!!

Okay, that's really cool about the pawns learning from each other <3 It warms my heart to think of Seel shouting out suggestions for Zihark. How precious. I'll have to pick up Castor if he's still a sorcerer/mage, oh, and Ariana (is Jeremiah still playing); maybe my self-absorbed sorcerer can put down his hand mirror long enough to exchange a bit of knowledge with them as well :D

@Curious - Castor is most definitely still a Mage (and will be switched to Sorcerer after a couple of level ups). ;)

I just switched Chase to Strider (did it before I read your response). I have him set up with Hundred Kisses, Implicate and Master Thief. For funsies. :D It's funny though, I was trying to decide between Strider and Fighter, but he has played Fighter more than Strider, so it won out. For now. I have no problem switching him to Fighter after I finish Death hunting (the pesky bastard has been hiding from me...no. Seriously. I have had a devil of a time getting him to show up. ). Death is on his last legs, and has been for a while. So his demise (at least for the next three to seven days in-game...lol!), is my main goal. Then I will switch over to Ari/Castor again.

I have him looking kinda assassin like....with blaring white face paint and blonde hair that screams, "HERE I AM!". :pinched:

The Castor I currently have is a strider, I must be behind the times.

I took Shinon and the two young'uns (Although Castor isn't so wet behind the ears anymore) out to the Shadow Fort to "rout a monster infestation." Shinon didn't particularly care for his company, which I chalk up to being stuck in the rift and wanting to see his old buddies, not these new folk.

OMG... I laughed so hard at Shinon's b!tch face (© Shinon "I forget his last name") And the invincible Zihark LOL He is kind of the opposite of invincible in BBI... which I'm sure is more down to my p!ss-poor playing abilities than anything  I still have him on the team FYI so if you slept and he came back with three stars it's because he died right when Death showed up, but I didn't realize until AFTER I'd sprinted for the door :(

He kept firing and praising, "A brilliant hit!" Shinon was not impressed [...]

Forgot to add, this made me burst out laughing. Can't say the kid doesn't have good self-esteem!

@Shepen - Those shots are fabulous.

As for Ulee and Co., she first switched Chase to Strider, and took Zi and Castor around for a stroll.

@Shepen - *giggle!* One of the best things about the Fighter/Warrior classes; grand "bum" shots! ;)

Okay, really liking the idea of Zi being a Fighter. I might switch Castor for a short stint, so I can have a trio of sword n' board pawns. I suspect much dying.

More pics from last nights romp.

I don't think fighter Zi is on the server, I wanted to wait a bit so he'd have a few skills and wouldn't be so useless. I still may have inadvertently done so, since Kalethai and the gang are frequent guests at Olra's Bench. He'll definitely be up tonight, though.

A Japanese player on the pawn community recently shared how to take black and white screenies using a bug on the PS3 version of the game. It involves using the MA skill Great Sacrifice twice, so it's best if you use your main pawn and an offline pawn like Rook, or just two offline pawns, because they become forfeit.

Basically what this person said was to fire off a Great Sacrifice, and shoot several basic magic arrows at the same time. When the screen turns white, use Great Sacrifice again, along with more basic magic arrows. This will eat up your stamina, so a liquid vim is recommended. When the screen turns white for a second time, you can release the aim button. When your view returns to normal, the game should be in black and white. It remains black and white until you hit a loading screen.

I'm going to try this tonight to see if it works on Xbox as well, and I'll see if I can explain it better after having tried it myself.

Hrmmm......could be interesting. I do like a few of the B&W shots I have grabbed, that can occur in BBI right after "carrion eating bosses/mini-bosses" show up. The screen will stay in B&W for a few moments, so if you aren't positioned to poorly (and have a quick trigger finger, which I don't, more often than not  ), you can get some decent shots. But if this works, that could be really fun.

Personally, I have never used Great Sacrifice. Good idea on grabbing some offline/AI created pawns though. *thumbsup*

Oh...another piece of good luck I had last night. Sent Castor home with a level 3 cursed Armor, and he got the Carrion Mantle. :)
Not even Ulee/Chase have that one. (That and the Hellfire breast plate, are the only pieces of armor they have left, but I was tired of getting Oblivion gauntlets - or the blue/red equivalent - every-flipping-time I purified. <_< )

Been scraping together a few Everfall pieces as well, which is nice. I still prefer the mix and match thing, over sets. (not that I hate armor sets, but it's more interesting to me, finding styles or themes through unrelated armor bits. ;) )

I cannot seem to get Rohan and Seel a pair of oblivion guantlets :( Sooo... if anyone has any level 3 armor lying around... just in case there's anyone out there who does actually have everything they want/need lol

Congrats on carrion mantle :wizard: Seel's go three of those  And two grave mantles.

I still godsbane for lvl.3 armor (have been giving it to Castor/Zi), so I don't have a problem passing you some. I am currently out, but the Midnight Helix is ready for harvesting and I plan on making another AD run (want some more lvl.3 weapons to give out).

I really need to (wo)man up, and tackle the rest of BBI (and Original Daimon), with Castor. I am already getting tired of ugly, brown Gransys, and kind of itching to go NG+ within a week or so. I justify (not that I really need to, lol!) loading Castor up on gifts from Ulee/Chase, since I will finish out BBI at a much lower level than Ulee/Chase did. Not sure I will bother attempting AD though. Suspect Ari and Castor would get their asses handed to them. :D The worst, is probably the Forgotten Hall (if truth be told). I find that dungeon pure hell, with under-developed characters. Yikes. ;)
