Well... lemme put it this way. Here's the other character I made.

His name is Zihark. He is a mage here, but that's only so I can put him in a purplish-grey outfit.

Bonus: Pawns are occasionally referred to as myrmidons.

Finally grabbed the two shots I had of Castor, that my husband played dress-up with. They....aren't very good. I should have chosen a better place to take the snaps. I was at the Warrior's Respite (where I we had quit for the night on Sunday), and since I wanted to continue from there, I felt he needed his beefier outfit back.

Man, the claw fingers freak me out Sometimes I give Seel different gloves to avoid the claw fingers, even though his stats drop dramatically.

 

And WOW, Shep, I wasn't familiar with that game; that picture Orian provided looks EXACTLY like Shinon, down to the eyes and expression!

FE Shinon is an arrogant racist douchebag. DD Shinon is essentially the watered-down version, with added exhibitionist tendencies and delusions of being a news reporter.

 

DD ZIhark is pretty much FE Zihark, except DD Zi is also a rock star popular among the undead.

 

Oh, and in regards to taking shots of armor and weapons, yeah, I do that too. The black cat has some really nice stuff.

I don't see DD Shinon as racist He seems like a sweet guy, actually. Yes, wildly arrogant with delusions of grandeur, but a nice guy lol I loved his bro-hug with Seel and Chase, that was so precious

 

I don't play that game, so what is FF Zihark like? I've been curious to know what "our" Zi's personality is

DD Shinon is not much of a racist, no. But I'm quite sure he sees pawns as superior to humans, his master aside.

 

FE ZIhark is pretty much the opposite of FE Shinon. Easygoing, super friendly, Friend To All Races. He is a bit of a Tortured Soul, but I choose to ignore that. (Past "forbidden" relationship with a half-human, half...animal, I forget which animal exactly, ended poorly - I think she was killed, I forget that too)

 

I tend to let DD shape my pawns as it sees fit. Shinon was created with FE Shinon in mind, but photos don't lie. ZI's still young, he still needs to find himself.

Ya know, I love the Black Cat stuff for looks, but the stats are jacked crazy (i.e. one will give awesome extra XP/DP, but have the potency of a pea-shooter. ). I should look at getting a few of the other pieces for Ulee/Chase (I have most of them, but not all). Once Arisens and Pawns max out, it's kind of fun using less than awesome armor/weapons.

I too have never played FE, but I did look it up, when I first got introduced to this thread (and Shep had mentioned Shin being based on said character). I think she did an awesome job making a DD Doppelganger of Shinon from FE.

BTW @Shep - totally off topic, but could you show a bigger picture of the onion armor your character is sporting from Dark Souls? Wish we had something ridiculously awesome (in the same vein) like that in DD. Don't misunderstand, DD has fantastic attire, but that onion look is pristine. Makes me want a extra dry martini with three onions, please.

I saw this and thought Shinon "awww he's an animal lover, he cares" (whilst trying to ignore the dagger in his hand!)

@Shepenwepet - that armour - looks great but may hinder all the fighting by making your eyes water! The game has already come down in price. It does look tempting for that armour alone.

Okay. I just hired Chase. When I tried to start taking screenies (which was instantly) I noticed he had a weird bluish glow, like he'd used a stat booster. When I exited the share screen, I noticed he had the "impervious" symbol beside his health bar. This wouldn't be weird if I was near a health spring, but I'm outside BBI. None of his armor or weapons suggest he should have this condition, and I released him and rehired him, still impervious.

 

Well, what's the big deal, you may ask? Well, the 360H pawns are also perma-impervious. I'm afraid to use him, as this save isn't currently backed up, which I'm going to do as soon as I stop typing this. I'm going to release him again just to be on the safe side.

 

I'm sure coldi didn't hack Chase, so I wonder why this is happening. When you rest at Warrior's Respite after sitting in a healing spring, it doesn't upload impervious pawns, right? Why does he have this status?

The impervious status went away after a minute. I suspect Cold rested while Chase was under that effect and it just carries over. Probably nothing to worry about. I uploaded Briana to the servers while she's under the impervious effect. If it shows up when you hire her, we'll know what the cause was.

Oh, okay. Good. It seemed to last a lot longer for me, but that may have been due to all the time spent in the share menu.

 

Well, I backed up my save anyway, which I should have done ages ago regardless. As soon as my pawns stop being garm food I'll go back and hire Briana.

 

...yep, she's impervious too. Funny that this has never happened to me before. Oh well, now I know. Crisis averted.

I did in fact, visit the Healing Spring in the Warrior's Respite, right before I spent the night. Sorry for the scare, @Shep. I didn't realize that the 360H pawns were perma-impervious. I am about to get on, and switch Chase up a bit, so his healing spring effect, should be gone by the time I rest again.

Just changed up Chase's outfit (kept him as Sorcerer for right now), and he is no longer impervious. Rested, so he should now be uploaded to the rift.

Oh, it's not your fault, I always tend to go "worst case scenario" over everything pretty much instantly. If I'd sat and thought for a second, the status would have disappeared, but no, I had to ring all the alarm bells.

 

Better to be safe than sorry, I s'pose, but in the future, I'll try to be more rational.

 

At any rate, I shall be back to the rift to get my triple sorcerer team like I'd wanted to in the first place. Although I might hang with Briana a bit, Zi's gotten over his jitters around her.

@Shep - All good....I tend to do the same thing. A "better safe than sorry" thing.

As I said in my previous post, I switched Chase's outfit; going for a mostly "white" motif. I don't dislike it, but it's also kind of boring. I may need to do a ridiculous outfit shortly, just for "balance". But I will stick with this for a little while....Ulee is busy. Really liking her Red look though: Crimson Jerkin, Sultry Pareo, Assailant's Bracers, Red Over-Knee Boots (over Silver Hosen), Tattered Mantle, and of course, I turned her back to a red head.

So I just dropped off Briana, and changed her out for Shinon. I then use the "Come!" command, and I get the following:

Shinon: *with disdain* "...fine."
Seel: *apathetically* "Very well."
Chase: *with enthusiasm* "Here I go!"
