Yeah, he's a stingy dragon !

I don't bother picking up stuff after defeating the UR-Dragon, apart from wakestones (cause you've got to keep the stocks up).  Oh, and also to hopefully get at least one item dragon forged (which these days isn't often).

I still don't get the online version.  You just don't make that much impact on his health bar.

BTW is that Seel in the mask?  Loving his style, particularly the hair.

@newschmoo - If you ever see us post about Grace Period (or GP), quickly head to fight the Ur-Dragon Online. It means that he is "dead", but will show up from anywhere between 20min. to an hour (at least it used to vary about that much), with a couple of hearts you need to take out. The kicker is, that you get all kinds of goodies (including the Abyssinal Set and one of the masks), once you take out all the hearts (which can range from 1 to 10 or so). BTW, if it is around 10, it can be very difficult to finish them off in the allotted time. Helps to have a team full of maxed out Rangers, and lots of Conqueror's periapts.

Death is being a real dyck. He keeps showing up, before I even get into the main room of the Garden of Ignominy. Which means, I have a much harder time setting up my 10 fold shots with blast arrows. That little toad of mine, also got taken out...

Did some godsbaning, and sent Zihark home with cursed armor.

@curious - I am just finishing out with Ulee/Chase for the day, and will switch to Ari/Castor after dinner. I did gift him a different shield, sword, and I believe boots. Will still gift him the Lambent shield once I get back to Ari's play through.

Death and Ur may have been uncooperative, but the last Cursed Dragon and Firedrake, "did a body good." Lots of DFing, and the Firedrake dropped a lvl.3 Weapon. *in the voice of Cartman* "sweeeet."

Thank you. He shall model it for you at the first opportunity. I did some godsbaning today as well, it was Zi's first time seeing his master kill herself. He was traumatized. I didn't even get anything worthwhile out of it. Carmine Breeches, a staff that's already obsolete due to my bane archistaff, and a pair of golden bracelets. The rest of the chests I just said eff it, I'll take whatever it gives me. Harspud Sauces. I can't escape these things.

I really have to get going on BBI with that bunch, I hate having a Dark Bishop that doesn't respawn. But on the plus side, MOONSHIMMER PELTS FOR EVERYONE

Oh god yes, this is a typical BBI run for me:

"Nice, finally managed to set my weight to very light."

"Ooh, some Hardspud Sauce"

"Cool, I can sell those materials later..."

"Nice even more Hardspud Sauce"

The game has pretty much given up even spacing them out.

Bonus: guess what was in that chest. I'll give you a hint: It's a kind of sauce.

Coldy, thanks!!! Seel is carrying his new shield :D Rohan is busy DF'ing All The Things. It's surprisingly tolerable to play as a fighter. I basically walk around with my shield up throughout every battle. Oh, killing a gorecyclops actually didn't take that long, either. Just latched on to his foot and chop-chopped. Shinon and Chase were, of course, a tremendous help :D Seel is so physically weak it's hilarious, but I will say he makes short work of skeleton brutes. Being Scatherer/Challenger, he picks off all the little 'uns while the other guys are taking on the big bads. He's not so useless... not much

In other news, Shinon's clearly jealous of Zi's newfound success in the Catacombs, so apparently he and Chase have been hard at work on a new project. Rohan stumbled across this work-in-progress album cover...

Just about to head back in under my Ari/Castor play through. I'm all about the Salubrious Brew, myself. But it's true....Hardspud pops up more often than not.......poo. :P

@Shepen - yeah....I'm not sure what is up with the Everfall lately, but it isn't producing much in the way of wanted items. I too went a-godsbaning in the "Fall", last weekend. Got yet another Carnation sword, and Gleaming Bangles. <_< *confetti*

Hopefully the BBI stuff will be better. ;)

Sorry for spam, but I should note....at some point (most likely tomorrow, since I am still fighting this cold), I will be making "Toady" Chase, into "The Cardinal"! (which is simply the red bird-like outfit I DF'ed today, with Ulee. :D )

@Curious - Nice pic! Will still gift you the Lambent Shield, if ya wants. ;)

Can't go wrong with a good bit of Harspud Sauce! I carry loads, because frankly I need the stamina. As does Thomas when he runs in the opposite direction!

@Coldwetnose - thanks for the UR advice. I have asked to join a group I found on FB about it (I assume they post details when his heath is low - it's a closed group). I would love some Abyssinal armour.

BTW, I love Chase in Todd!

Edit - sorry, I meant wearing Todd!

mmmmmm sauce  :P

I often found in my plays it was one sauce and one milk.  Ignore the milk or throw it out because it takes about ten to actually do anything

With that in mind one thing that was a problem with the assassin build was keeping my weight down.  You always pick up stuff and you always need a few potions in your inventory just in case. Plus the weight of your equipment.  If I managed to go into a battle with it saying "light" I was always impressed. Loot any chest and im right back into "average" again.  =]

Been experimenting with Magick Archer after playing Mystic Knight. If this class could use swords, I'd probably never change it.

Magick Archer was and technically still is my favorite class, but I haven't used it in ages. If it had some sort of sniper zoom skill, I'd switch back in a heartbeat.

Hush you! No one can deny the beauty of "Todd".

Alynna still had him on when I started up my game a little while ago. I hadn't played on that account since then. She also still had her headache face.

I'm doing a quick extremely slow run through of BBI with them as they're still pre-daimon, and Zi and friends are still stuck in the rotwood depository hunting saurians at level 58.

Nice to see Thomas being his old self.

Gotta adore Thomas. :D

Todd is still on Chase. yap. ;) I started up with Castor/Ari today, since I wanted to do a new set up pics for the DHMG thread. Plus, I want to get Ari and Castor to level 100. Only three levels left. :wizard:

Just gonna hit the offline Ur for a few rounds. Castor is a Warrior for these last few levels, then he will be switching between, Ranger, Sorcerer, and Fighter till max. I will make him a mage or warrior on occasion, but the majority of the vocations will be those three (get the most bang for my buck, once over level 100).

So tonight I noticed that sometimes Chase's ears stick out of Todd  I almost snapped a photo, but he was also missing his eyes at the time, and nobody likes those kinds of photos...

But then this also happened:

114_zps27268867.jpg

Chase: Hello, this is Chase, reporting from the battlefield--!

Rohan: *off camera* What the f*** are you doing? We're in the middle of a fight!!!

Chase: It's okay, we do this with Alynna all the time!

I have snapped a few shots with his ears sticking through (but yes, mostly it is when you also get "no eyes".....*shiver*).

Managed to get a few shots yesterday, but haven't uploaded them yet. My goal was getting Castor and Ari to level 100, which they are. yay! Castor is now set as a Mage (for a bit). May try switching up his inclinations though...

However, today I need to switch out "the Toad", for "the Cardinal". However, I did just realize that there was one item that didn't get DF'ed...the Dignified Cape. Need to do that first. ;)

Ohhh....and I still only got Volant Whites while fighting the offline Ur yesterday (and neither Castor or Ari were playing a magick based vocation). So I rented a level 29 gal I found, gave her a new frock and a Volant White. She was actually a pretty good little mage!

I love renting random pawns and gifting them things; I just wish there were a way to see when the pawn's owner last played the game; I hate to think I'd thrown away some good stuff on a person who doesn't play the game anymore.

Cool; I may pick up Castor the Mage soon-ish; I switched back to assassin!Rohan and sorcerer!Seel because I was tired of dying as a fighter  But having a mage might help in that department. (I decided to change Seel as a sorcerer while he's in the Rift; he's pretty useless to you guys as a fighter, I s'pose.)

I hate it when I have a great outfit in mind for Seel... only to discover one part of it hasn't been DF'ed. Grrrr!

I thought Seel was doing quite well, as an S&S.

As for active (unknown) pawns, that is exactly what I always wonder about (especially with lower level pawns (are they lower level because they were abandoned, for example). However, there are a few little hints, that they might be active. (okay, they are what "I" call hints. lol!)

1) I look at their inclinations. I know this shouldn't seem like an indicator, but I noticed that most lower level pawns with better inclinations (rather than the standard Guardian/Nexus + whatever), often can mean that their player is actively learning/looking stuff up regarding building of pawns (though again, it can also mean that they are not actually new players, but simply someone with a new arisen/pawn....and they still could have abandoned them. <_<)

2) Seeing if they have been rented in the past (have ratings). Now, I actually really like renting pawns without ratings, since I can finally give them that. But I tend to suspect that the pawns with ratings are "potentially" more active.

3) general build care (stats/armor/weapons), along with where they have explored.

Now granted, none of these guarantee an active pawn, but I figure my chances are better with pawns that fall into these categories. It's a theory. *shrug* ;)

On another note; Death is becoming a real pain in my ass! I just want to DF this damnable cape, but Death keeps mucking things up. *shakes fist*

So now I am heading to the Dark Bishop, in the hopes to get this thing forged. Once it is, I am switching to MA, going to the Bloodless Stockade (hopefully he will be there....post Daimon can sometimes be a crapshoot), and Ricochet him to "death". <bastart>

LOL!

I thought Seel was doing quite well, as an S&S.

Aww well I had rented another pawn (perhaps Zi?) who was maxed out as S&S in hopes of Seel learning from him, so hopefully he has! I'm kinda bored so I think I'll pop back on in a sec and switch him back to S&S; may or may not keep Rohan as assassin though. But I really would like to DF that lambent shield and the lvl 3 warrior/fighter gloves (forget what they're called).

We may hop around generic Gransys a bit and kill some lame-o dragons; if nothing DF's, it's back to assassin :P

Hmm good tips for telling if a pawn has been used by his/her owner recently. I wonder how many people are really still playing the game since it's been out for awhile.

Death spoiled my fun yesterday, too  He popped up in a place he's never popped up before for me; it's the multi-platform level, where you can fight the wargs or the strigoi (sp???). The place he popped up at was at the veeery end, where you can fight the eliminator and just before you enter (I think) Tower of Treasons... Retold? Something?

I cannot remember names in this game :(

Yep! Death is definitely the "party-pooper" lately. heh! (and yes, I can't help but say that in Arnie's voice  )

Even though the offline Ur-Dragon has been a bit stingy lately, it is still an easy way to get some things forged. (or at the very least, you sleep enough in Gransys, to start the dragon cycle over, at the Dusk Moon Tower, on BBI. ;)

Just uploaded Chase in his new digs. :D
