I'm just about to hop on for some more everfalling with Zi and the gang. I was stuck in there for a little while waiting for a ferrystone to drop because I hadn't brought any. I think I could have landed on the first platform and just walked out, but where's the fun in that?

 

Oh, I've found a way to get some nice pics of sorcerers. Douse your lanterns and head into a place like the rotwood depository, and wait for your casters to do their thang, letting them light the shots for you. Comestion gives off some really nice light. I had some shots but I guess I never kept any, because none of em are in my album.

Am playing like ass right now. Seriously. Finally got in a place that I "thought", might be good to take Death down. Aaaaand, apparently I couldn't land a shot to save my life. *grimace* The sucky thing, is now I am hunting him, and the bugger is hiding. He has like a third of one bar left; That's IT! Mother-trucker needs to go down.

Well, I intended to do some more Everfalling but I decided to clear BBI with Alynna and Shinon, mostly because I've been wanting to fire a Great Gamble off in daimon's chamber for the longest time and I kept forgetting to do it.

 

I started up, noticing I had an all-physical team. I still had warrior Castor, so I sent him home with a moonshimmer pelt. I picked up Fighter Seel and lil' sorcerer Zi, and we were off, after a trip to Olra to switch some equipment. Shinon dug out his cursed king's belt. Seel was thrilled.

As we went deeper into the dungeon, Zihark started suffering nosebleeds. Horrible nosebleeds.

He said he was okay, luckily Shinon always has his dozens of absorbent rags.

 

We eventually made it to Daimon. Shinon was a little rusty.

And I finally, FINALLY got the shot I wanted with great gamble. Look at that sky. (lol, oops, this was Shinon again before I edited it.)

I sent Seel home with an Armor level 3 (It's oblivion gauntlets, Zi said so) and I have another one for Castor if he would like it. It'll have to be sent tomorrow night, though.

We must have been on a mental wave length, because I started to do the same thing with Ulee/Chase and team. BUT!! The Sparyard knocked us out of contention. I guess my less than healthy outfit on Ulee and Chase (combined with some young'uns) made short work of ALL my needed supplies.

Oh well...I switched over to Ari/Castor briefly, since I needed to give him a new scar, and change his inclinations. Plus, I had a level 3 weapon, that Ulee sent home with him, that needed purifying. Funny enough, I ended up getting Bitter End (the one and only lvl.3 weapon that Ulee/Chase don't have ). Switched Ari to Warrior so she can get it forged.

Oh!! And I dropped off Chase and Zi, and picked up Shinon and Seel. That is an AWESOME toady outfit, that Shinon has on. And yay! Seel is a fighter again.

I'm surprised how decent he is as a fighter! It's funny to see him charging into battle instead of hanging back the way he usually does to cast spells. The teams tonight were Castor + Chase and Castor + Shinon. Chase went skydiving with a poison undead. I felt like I was watching it happen in slow motion. "Chase, no..." I said to the TV screen. Ah well.

I love how you put the scar first and inclinations second. Pawns gotta look good, right?     I wish I wasn't so set in my ways with my pawns. I'd love to change them up a bit. I'm not really married to Kalethai's look yet, so I have room to kick about in the CC for her. I might age Zi a bit, some of the shots he's in make him look about 12 years old.

He saw Chase's red outfit and decided he needed a color-themed one as well. Since "flesh" wasn't an option, he went with green. The two of them together look quite festive.

Bear with me. This pic is terrible, but tells an awesome story. Went to the Everfall to kill one of my favorite monsters (the Archhydra), and everyone is right in the mix. The two magick types were casting up a storm, practically right on top of said hydra. And where is Chase? (**note** look in far right corner)



He was so ashamed of his toady 'tude, that he became a true supplicant to Ari. She rightfully became annoyed.

Well hello there, new Castor. I have no idea what DHMG stands for, I'm guessing it's Darkly Handsome Man...Guy. I haven't been keeping up with the DA:I news, I ate up every bit of ME3 news like a ravenous rat and then was utterly let down in the end, so I'm trying my best to go in blind. That way I can't be disappointed, huh? Sure, there are trickles of info here and there, but I haven't been in the upper section of the forums in a long time. Except when I saw a "suggested voice actors" thread in the recently created topics, when I went in and suggested Sam Riegel. Well, I intended to, but Happy Daiz already did so in the post right before mine.    I should have added Keythe Farley as well. Dude got shafted in ME3.

 

Oh, that reminds me, I ran into a pawn named Thane, ironically standing outside of the Chamber of Hope.

 

I took a picture of him because he struck me as having an oddly familiar face, but I can't think of who it is that he looks like.

LOL! You were very close.....DHMG stands for "Dramatic Hands Mustache Guy". Okay; not quite that close. He is believed to be the character "Dorian", in the leaked survey, and the new DA:I trailer, does show him as a companion. But, we don't "officially" know his name yet. Hence, DHMG.

That "pawn Thane", looks a bit like Reynard close-up (though I suspect you are thinking of someone else).


And YES on Sam and Keythe, for voices in DA:I. *nods!*

Gosh I'd kill for "Thane's" face stats. I can't seem to make a handsome, chiseled jaw like that that said, I don't think Zi looks young at all, but this is coming from the person who can't seem to make male characters look older than a teenager.

Blech! None of the Dragon's are playing nice today. lol! I have killed two Drakes, two Wyverns, and one Wyrm; not a single DF (I am currently wearing one piece of armor, and the Bitters End longsword, that are not DF'ed). I am also hauling around a bunch of those "dragon tears". Now, I am going to try and get the Ur to do me a solid. Crossing toes and eyes, in hopes of Bitters End getting forged.

@Curious - There are a couple of ways to get the chiseled features, but I found that going by means of an unconventional path, works the easiest (meaning; choosing a preset face that might not look good, but already has some good jaw angles). I managed to get that chiseled look on my PS3 Castor, by doing that. I just don't remember what I used (it was over a year and half ago ).

TBH thank God there is no PC version of DD. If there was, we would have nude skins and if we had nude skins and you guys got a hold of the PC version, then this thread would become an erotica...

I for one am not a proponent of seeing pixel people's naughty bits, I personally think it's kinda sad that people take time out of their days to create that stuff. One could argue that some of our screenshots are about a stone's throw away from that, but I find them much more silly than stimulating.

 

Actually, you know what? I take that all back. I want a PC version for naked Mountebank. And only Mountebank. Every NPC would be him. Naked.

I can see it being funny for a few minutes, but then Feste. This is where the Whole Population Is Mountebank mod would actually be of help.

 

But yes, Arisens and pawns need clothes. That's half the fun of the game.

By the way, I tried aging ZIhark. I darkened his skin a little bit, I think I changed his eyes, I even gave him black "blush" to try and create the illusion of wrinkles/laugh lines without actually giving him wrinkles. (Even a tick away from 'shallow' is too much.)

I can answer this, as I have all the stats for everyone. Castor is face shape 44, Chase is 40. If I had to guess, Thane up there would be face 40 as well. I used to think face 1 was the only decent looking shape, but this thread has opened my eyes.

 

Preset faces don't really change anything since you can't edit anything about the face shape except for size, but they can give you a different place to start from if you're tired of looking at Savan /Girl Savan. Once you're set in a face shape, though, pawns start looking deformed in any other one. I tried changing Zi's face shape last night. That's not happening. I'd have to change all his features to fit the new face, so he wouldn't look like himself anymore.

@Curious - I don't know the starting points any longer, with Chase and Castor (or PS3 Castor) BUT!! Have no fear. You gave me a perfectly valid excuse to play with Ulee in the CC. I only ever changed her to a man once (when I tried my lame attempt at Malcolm Reynolds and Jayne Cobb ).

As soon as I get a chance, I will give you some of those settings.

As for Zihark, in that first pic, the aging looks quite nice. But yeah....the second one looks a bit like theatre makeup. lol!

I still think Zi looks awesome. He's "ageless".

I'm not sure, but I think it's one of the final frames of the animation you get when you pick them up and put them back down. It could also just be Chase knowing he's all that and a bag of chips.

 

I uploaded that aged Zihark shot to the pawn community with the caption, "Zihark finally got his hands on a Sovereign's Mantle. Too bad his master's gonna steal it." It occurred to me that some of the folks there might not be able to read what I wrote, so I wondered how Google Translate would handle it. It spat this out:

 

"Zihark got his hands on the cloak of sovereign eventually. I steal it with the intention of my husband too bad."

 

I kinda like that better.

I find that starting points (like the body type you pick, and the preset face), do influence how they turn out. Shepen is correct, that you can technically manipulate anything, to eventually get the same results, but it is harder to "see", or "recognize", as to where to go (on the choices and sliders), if you are starting with something so vastly different than where you want to go with it.
I never use default Savan's face, for example, and I usually choose the body type that has the most wiggle room for height and muscle size. I originally had Chase much leaner (and shorter), but I eventually went for a slightly larger build than the original. It was easier to do that, since I picked a body type that was already "close" to both versions.....if that makes sense.

Anyway, I am still going to fool around with Ulee as a man (just for fun), since I would like to try and recreate my PS3 Castor (I tried to do that original with the new Castor, but wasn't getting it to work, so went a different route with him). I do like new Castor as he is though.

Will post some info, hopefully tomorrow. Got caught up in work and other things today. Meh...it happens.
